LOL I was just about to ask where does he say f2p in a few months - I hit "quote" & the post changed
Yes yes I know. I'm not exactly sure why I heard that. I was feeling all Morn there for a moment. Just a little. Slightly.

So, say I preordered from Amazon and used free super saver shipping, would I be able to play without the real retail copy until it arrives in the mail?
Did you get an email for your pre order? That's the only way to play early if it's still possible.

Did they confirm the grace period again? Last I heard was that they said they weren't doing it at the fansite summit. If you get a pre-order code, you should be able to download the game and play it a day or so before launch. EA is allowing at least a few days after launch before users must enter their keys from the retail version.
Is there an easy way to change what drive you have the game installed to without redownloading everything? I don't mind diving into the registry and all that mess if needed.
So no path assumptions stored anywhere in the registry or in a hidden ini file in your user folder's application data directories or any of that nonsense? Sweet. You can just copy and paste the whole thing over. Then just change the path on your shortcuts.

I just got this baby in the mail and it's all set up for SWTOR.
How so you guys target in MMOs? I was thinking using the mouse wheel to switch between targets. Anyone try this?
Nope. Bioware said they'd clarify hopefully last week - that never happened.Did they confirm the grace period again? Last I heard was that they said they weren't doing it at the fansite summit.
You can use any pre-order code for whatever version you end up buying. They aren't tied to the copy that you ordered. So you're fine.Amazon's estimated delivery for me is the 27th-29th which is unacceptable (launch day shipping wasn't/isn't an option for me in the shipping speed options). I entered my early access code back in like...September I think (I preordered the collector's edition like the 2nd day they started taking preorders...so whenever that was.) so I got my early access code and it's tied to my Bioware account.
I also preordered the collector's edition at Best Buy just in case, but I was wondering if anyone knows if my pre-order code that I entered in (sent to me via Amazon's preorder) is somehow tied to the purchase of the Amazon game? Basically I'm wondering if I can safely cancel my Amazon pre-order and just get my Best Buy copy instead without it somehow "cancelling" my registered early access code on Bioware's site?
It seems like an unlikely possibility given that I can't see Bioware's site having any indication of Amazon purchases, I just would rather be safe than sorry.
Amazon has $.99 release day shipping. If playing it without interruption is your goal feel free to splurge.
I don't know anything specific to SWTOR, but I know I can copy WoW and other games to and from any drives without any major issues.
Time to find the latest client exe then...Yeah, you should just reinstall, there is no guarantee you have the right version, plus you're wasting about 20 GB.
Processor:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+ or better
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz or better

Windows Vista and Windows 7: 2GB RAM
Note: PCs using a built-in graphical chipset are recommended to have 2GB of RAM.
Star Wars: The Old Republic requires a video card that has a minimum of 256MB of on-board RAM as well as support for Shader 3.0 or better. Examples include:
ATI X1800 or better
nVidia 7800 or better
Intel 4100 Integrated Graphics or better
DVD-ROM drive – 8x speed or better (required for installation from physical editions only) Internet connection required to play.
Ah, so I guess this means I can safely cancel and preorder off Origin? The CE stuff is not THAT important. Meh, I'll just wait to see if there's a grace period and if the item gets shipped before the 20th.You can use any pre-order code for whatever version you end up buying. They aren't tied to the copy that you ordered. So you're fine.
Also the pre-order code won't be terminated from your account. It's locked in and used.

I was playing a Jedi Sentinel in the beta weekend, however I'm thinking about trying the Jedi Shadow in retail, what are the main differences between both when it comes to tanking?
Am I the only one who thinks Marauder/Sent will be the most worthless AC in the game? They really offer nothing over the other classes and ALL they can do is DPS.
The main difference is Sentinels don't tank. . I don't have a helpful answer for you b/c I didn't play enough Shadow - only Sith Warrior Juggernaut and Bounty Hunter Powertech as far as tanking.
Another Logo if we want to use for OT
Amazon got back to me and changed it to 1 day shipping for free with a delivery estimate of Dec 22. It's not release-date shipping, but I can't open the box until Christmas anyway. I just hope Bioware knows a lot of people will have to wait until Christmas and give us until then at least.
Yea that would be better than the one they're curently using. Gives a better idea of the scale. Also it's awesome art.
As for the OT, I would make something fancier for the Republic and Sith logos. As it stands now, the two groups are kinda jumbled together.*Just my advice*
Updated Logo with designs found on net, resized only. But then removed redundant class images, thinking about adding AC images.
Please continue to give feedback on OT, so we can work with Billy for an amazing OT to start this off!
Edit: Redid Class Imaging, see above. let us know.
They are. Way too low DPS to make up for other shortcomings.

Can you expand on that? I am planning to play a sith warrior at launch and i was thinking of going marauder up until now. What shortcomings does the class has?
No-one has tried a Jedi Shadow in tank spec then? ok, i guess ill have to find out what they're like
