Unfortunately, I do, too. The problem isn't Sweet Baby, it's the fact that management wants to hire these sorts of consultants in the first place. And the Blackrock subsidies for doing so. If Sweet Baby goes away, another outfit will just take its place, because there is money in it. I also think a lot of the traction the story is getting is because internet drama always generates attention/clicks, and so the Youtubers are all capitalizing on it, and fanning the flames. It's really a tempest in a teapot, though.

I'm glad gamers are expressing their opinions about Sweet Baby, though, and I have enjoyed watching Sweet Baby employees getting exposed as hypocrites, misandrists, and racists. That part has been fun.

i think it will. at the begging of this drama i was not even aware of it. but it seems the sweet baby thing started last year.

but as i said. this is not about forced DEI per se. it's about a particular set of people that want to impose their ideology at the expense of others, even if that means the commercial failure of the thing they are working on.

Disney had a lot of commercial failures in a row, losing around 1 billion at the box office. and the fact that the very own Bob Iger said that "maybe they went too far" in terms of pushing that agenda says a lot.

so i think the entertainment industry in general is in turmoil and a lot productions are not performing and others are floping.

Look at the Tomb Raider survivor trilogy, Horizon games, Control, Assassin's Creed Odyssey (and Valhalla also i guess), Returnal, A Plague Tale, Hellblade, Alien Isolation (please tell me if i have missed any obvious ones). Critically and commercially successful games, that i personally love. All have female protagonists that are not sexualized in any way (in the games themselves, R34 fandom is another thing entirely).

If they would rather engage in conversation, something they seem so inclined about on other topics, instead of just bashing they'd understand. That one lady with her pox wishes steps into a common falacy in assuming that people enjoying this kind of stuff in games and people "running their mouths" are automatically the same. Yes, there's an intersection but it's not all. It is general knowledge: every deer is an animal, but not every animal is a deer. It is common sense, so it is an argument in bad faith from the beginning. It's a typical generalisation they are usually against on that platform, so that's some hypocrisy there.

Also, half of them have anime avatars or JRPG references so gtfo, because some of that shit is more emberassing than having a beautiful woman running across the screen. If you do take character interaction in JRPGs or anime seriously and as a benchmark and try to adapt that real life... good luck with that, you psycho.
