Super Best Friends Thread 10: Frienders Support Straight Shota

It's not a bad thing I just don't have the time or concentration for that.

You don't have to shotgun the entire series. You can watch it over the course of a year. Of course, once the show hooks you you will shotgun it anyway so moot point.

If I can cherry pick just the five best episodes and watch them without the whole thing falling apart, I might do that.
There's a thing around here somewhere that is a guide to the series of sorts but I can't be bothered finding it.

Watch it, or don't.

It's that simple.

If I don't watch it all in at least a month I will probably drop it at some point. It's happened with other long series such as one piece

There is a guy like that in P2 too. Made me realize I should actually buy stuff.
I don't blame you if you get salty a little bit.
Truly, the most skill based game there is
What the fuck? That sounds like a terrible idea.

The best part is that it's in an area that I have to buy something from a guy to progress in the story. I had 15k, demon stole half, I thought "whatever the thing is only 5k anyway", guy says he changed his mind and is charging me 10k instead, I'm fucked.

If an anime needs more than 26 episodes to tell a story, I'm going to be wondering why it needed more than 26 episodes to tell the story.

Also, nearly every season two for anime is terrible.

If you drop a series it has nothing to do with how long you were watching it.

If you enjoy it you'll keep watching it, if you don't you won't.

Except the part where not every series isn't structured the same way.

Ever hear of the words episodic? Perhaps standalone?

I'm gonna give Gintama a go one of these days, just the fact that it goes from episode to episode makes me wanna watch it.

Wow, you're already that far? You're just speeding through this. BTW, it gets even worse. That quest will require you to get 150,000+ macca. Have fun~

Man that sucks. Did it make sense that it would do that? The enemy in mine was placed in a casino so it definitely fit why it steals my money.

Really? I didnt think ippo got hype till flicker punch guys fight against ippos rival. Honestly I thought ippo was just ok.

One of my friends who fucking hates sports, got into Ippo from just the first four episodes and he just kept on updating me on how it keeps on getting better and better. Ippo tries to entertain you with the basics and then it delves deeper and deeper into all the shit in boxing.
All my bias, I love this series.

Gintama shouldn't fall under that category because it is more like a sitcom than a show with a story to tell. There is a main story thread, but most off the show is great small arcs episodes with great characters.

Edit: Although sitcom probably isn't the right term.

What if its like Simpsons (before it got bad)? Like, you have a static cast, but each episode is just its own thing.
Not every show needs to have a focused story structure. I haven't seen all of Simpsons (s2-11, I mean) and I don't plan to. I just watch it when I want.

I only ever watch those kind of shows if they are on TV. I have never went out of my way to watch a show that has that formula

I'd probably only want to watch the best episodes. I wouldn't recommend anyone watch all of The Simpsons, even the mid-seasons when it was good. There were still a lot of bad episodes during those seasons.

Im not saying its bad at all, its just ok. I mean its not gonna be in my top tens, and I still have to finish it.

I don't really want to just shill Gintama forever otherwise I'll just be always repeating myself, most of you know about it by now, I like it, it's pretty damn good. So watch it, or don't.

If a lot of you are going to be weirdos about the length of an anime (BestGAF is honestly the only place I keep encountering this so frequently) then well...

I have a lot of time on my hands because vacation, and I always get completely sucked into JRPG's.

I think I'm going to abandon the story for now then, I was already concerned when several characters started talking about selling stuff to me and making money. I'll need to figure out a way to consistently make money, maybe just scavenging areas for relics.

Nope, it just did it and I lost my mind

I enjoy longer series more than shorter ones. If I like the characters and story, it doesn't matter how long it is. If I don't then I won't I can drop a series at anytime, it being shorter doesn't mean it's better.

If it takes more than 26 EP for one story arc? Sure, you're right, but One Piece, Yu Yu hakasho, HunterXHunter and Dragon Ball all had pretty good quality with over 100 EP

Yeah, relic hunting is pretty much the best way to grind macca. You could also sell high priced items that you don't use.

In other news I've been playing The Witcher
It's pretty good, the combat feels both good in some ways and terribly shitty in others. But I have been enjoying it though, I just wish the combat didn't feel so randomized with dicerolls, Morrowind's was not even nearly that bad.

That's exactly how I feel about it too.

How it plays doesn't even really bother me, up until I suddenly miss 9 times in a row on one of those Phantom dog things despite being able to kill them in one hit, and then getting ganged up on from missing my attacks so much.
It's like the system just randomly breaks.

Maybe I'll get the Combat re balance mod, since the guy who made it works for CDPROJEKT now, so you can call it a semi-official mod.

That was pretty cool but not like super hype to me.
Like something I consider is hype is something that puts me at the edge of my seat. Like the entirety of prison school.

I was for Ippo, the only episodes that I found dull were the fights Miyata has with other boxers. Every other had me on the edge of my seat.

To the people who added me on PSN:

First, I share Archgan12 with my brother so it will only be me half the time. Secondly, we made a new PSN, Archgan96, that I also share with my brother. I will probably be using this one more because I have PS+ on it. I'm going to add both to the doc.

PS: Sorry AngryCanadian, accidentally deleted your invite.
