One thing that was a little upsetting after playing the Guild Wars 2 beta and coming back to TERA.

Why are the environments in Tera so flat? With a few exceptions there is very little vertical displacement from one side to the other and they seem very flat. The environments are gorgeously detailed and meticulously textured but I feel they would be better if they weren't so flat....

Still can't get over how pretty this game looks. Rolled a sorcerer named Daornthir (got him as a human as close as possible to looking like a black guy. Took a while but annoying that skin tone options are so light.) and joined Believe. Will be rolling a Slayer or Berserker (not sure on race or gender at the moment but leaning toward Aman) maybe for something more melee focused. Not sure what might end up as my main though. Not sure how active I'll be though. Won't be playing everyday as I will be splitting my gaming time between Tera and a few other games like Xenoblade and Dungeon Siege 3.

Broke down and purchased the game and had a level 15 Mystic waiting for me when I logged on. I have no memory of playing during the OB at all lol

Oh, so i can get an i3 and the game will run just fine. No need for an i5 if my main gaming is TERA.

Not exactly. Bumping up my i7-2600k by a little under a GHz gave me 30-40 frames, and significantly raised my framerate's lowest point. i3's have much smaller overclocking potential than their larger brothers.

I'll see if i can get a 2500k then. I need a ultra-small PC to replace my Xeon workstation. Can't take a 50 lb PC with me on my summer trip and let it get raped as baggage by United.

Running a 50% HP build, pretty strong but very very risky. My gear isn't good enough to completely forgo the Vigorous Crystals.

Also enchanting is so addictive, fuck.

It's hard to make a PC weigh 50 lb. I have a Core i7 machine with 2x GTX 470s, an SSD, and 2 hard drives inside a Cooler Master HAF 932. It doesn't weigh 50 lbs. and the HAF 932 is like the Hummer of computer cases.

Created my alt Zaornthir (Aman) this morning before heading out. Haven't taken him into the game yet. Most likely will play him a bit before deciding if I'll deguild Daornthir and try to have Zaorn invited. Next character, will be a while from now, might be a female Aman or Castanics warrior I also don't think I gave the story a fair shake during the beta. That or it's been altered somewhat do to the prologue. I've been paying more attention to it this time around now that I can take my time.

Has anyone played on the RP server? Do people stay in character there or is it just ignored? If things are done well might try rolling a character there as well.

Was the "Believe" guild picture messed up for anyone else yesterday (guild on VoT)? Either it's completely broken, or we changed our picture to a look like a scrambled porn TV station.

They removed all the guild emblems. All the GMs had to re-upload them.

Also kinda indicates each guild "activity" since there are still some guilds with the troll "img!" logo.

Solo play has been simple so far, right now there are plenty of people looking for groups for the event battles so it was easy to just hop in one. But I was also able to solo. This is a F2P game in Korea, so grinding is the name of the game. Can't beat it yet, go grind a bit more. Most classes can solo, it may take a while to beat a boss/event but you can do it if you know how to play your class.

I've been a Slayer which is DPS and it has been fun to dash in get a couple powerful hits in, dance around the monster till it is vulnerable and get a couple more in. I think one boss took me 6min but felt like 30seconds :)

Does anybody know if there is a way to get additional mounts right now? I have the default, brown horse and the guy that I play with has the lion mount and is perpetually leaving me in the dust. I know that K-TERA is supposed to receive new ones soon, but wasn't sure if there were mounts out there in the NA version to purchase.

There is another horse you can get in Velika that has a movement speed of 270. However, the lion is still faster at 280.

Fastest one in the game is the Vanarch horse: 290.

What? This game is NOT F2P in Korea or any other territory. I think they have trials that allow you to play 1-20 for free or something like that...

You can even get a "premium weapon" skin which seems amazingly pointless... except for Sorcerers who can now use a book instead of a disc!

Looking at the rest of them, they're all changes to the weapons...

Lance/Shield -> Sword/Shield
Axe -> Hammer
Swords -> Axes

Fuck yes! I've been wanting to make my Elin face a little less chubby and maybe try a different hair color. The book thing sounds pretty awesome... I never really liked the Disc weapon.

They're costume items; I think you can only send it to one character, but you can equip/remove it on that character as much as you want.

Are there more slayers than lancers at higher levels on Dragonfall? I'm starting to lose interest in my lancer because of how long it takes to kill quest mobs in Popolion.
