100%. Recently seen more and more of them just decide to start over entirely and they're rocking it even as it is still short. It looks slick, too. They're doing them, it's amazing.

Worst part about corporate America, though, is even if it is clean and natural, it's different and they can't respect it. Been more than one story in the last year here in Toronto where girls were told to remove box braids/braids, or sent home for having their hair in a bun while at work. It's magical.

Ah, OK. My first response is "Why didn't you punch him in the mouth?" We always, always had to be ready to fight when I was a kid. We fought so much that my pops bought 10oz boxing gloves and after that fights always got handled at the park.

I'd say, "good on you for defending yourself" and then I'd explain how the system isn't always fair or right and you should always choose to defend yourself if you feel its necessary and that I'd never be angry or punish them for that.

That was always what I thought was the big difference between men and women, Men had beef, usually fought and it was over...everyone knew where they stood. Very rarely did I have to fight a kid twice, not because I was a badass but because it was squashed after that.
