So nowhere can be counted as a company hunting down the leakers because of breach of contract. And even so, lets say they were hunting fans for leaking, what would be the reason for their major overdrama of something that aways happens because of their own fault?
Nah its not greedy, lets get some defense force at our side by spout "major injury" and see if works.

Well, they cared enought to even give an answer over "what people said on the internet"(unless you pretend that their reaction over the twitter replies is nothing). Seriously though, at this point I feel like I'm talking to Serebii.
The only thing that caused "irreparable injury" to their brand was them shitting out an unfinished, rushed game out the door even though they knew it was underbaked.
Definitely shitty on that site to break NDA and leak stuff, but let's be real; It didn't do jack to affect the sales of the games. If anything, just did the opposite, since everyone was drooling from the mouth wanting leaks and that just fed the hype.

It's a very standard use of the word from what I can tell, don't know why people are so hung up on it.
They clearly don't want them to happen and they take steps to prevent it from happening, people getting a hold of things early and then leaking it is not a result of lack of precautions. I mean they flew a guy out to retrieve an early sold copy of X & Y IIRC.
Although the Sun & Moon leak was a dumb and (I assume anyway) preventable ( just don't release the demo...) so I'll give you that. Seems more to do with Game Freaks incompetence as a dev if anything though.

Just finished reading through. It's definitely dicey depending on how you take it, in the context of this document though, it would be them saying they want to keep some things a surprise for launch since they only reference the new stuff that was revealed.
If I missed something here or I'm misunderstanding let me know, but I didn't see any reference to the game as a whole being leaked and them wanting to keep it a secret due to poor design rather the new stuff that was revealed.
