Considering what this discussion has become, I'm really impressed with gafs restraint in not posting entire libraries of Driveclub screenshots.
Switch 2 version should be available at the same time.It looks really good!
Now, unless the Switch 2 automatically "boost" the performance of the Switch 1 game (aka, i wouldnt have to buy "Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Switch 2 version"), I will skip it to not buy the same game twice... probably (if the game is just TOO good, i might be unable to resist just getting the switch 1 version)
Sure the hardware can but this is a locked console. I Hope it can. Dlss transformer and fsr 4 Are really Great for Image quality. It can run on it, see the 2050 mobile running the Transformer model in YouTube.
PS4? This is like PS2, what you on about we had TLOU2 and GOW2 and Horizon 2 and Cyberpunk on PS4. Just look at that blury ground texture right infront of you.PS4 level graphics. Not bad for that lil toy. Excited to see it on Switch 2.
It might be the best one out there but its far from being a nice looking game.
I get that the device is pretty weak for 2025, but let's not pretend the game looks great.
Recently tested, 20/20 vision thank you very much. This is far from stunning, so far thst even Frodo would hesitate to do the trip. You need your eyes testing. I'll emulate and play the shit out of this on PC, it looks stunning.

You need higher standards pal, or at least a name change to "DirtInMyEye".
I recommend watching the linked video. That bridge looks amazing in a static screenshot. But in the video there's wavy aliased lines. A static screenshot can hid imperfections that motion exposes.![]()
How are people saying this game doesn't look good? It looks awesome even in stills, it's gonna be gorgeous in fluid motion
Good art direction beats even the most cutting edge tech every single time.
I recommend waking the F up. This is a damn Switch we're talking about. 2015 tablet hardware.I recommend watching the linked video. That bridge looks amazing in a static screenshot. But in the video there's wavy aliased lines. A static screenshot can hid imperfections that motion exposes.
There are other Switch games that don't have these issues and IMO look better. So no, I don't believe this is the best the Switch has done.I recommend waking the F up. This is a damn Switch we're talking about. 2015 tablet hardware.
What Retro is doing with it technically, combined with a fantastic art style, is simply amazing. You better believe this is the best Switch can do.
lol, lets at least be fair, RPG against RPGHow about PS5 graphics

Even if you don't think it's the best looking Switch game ever, it's most definitely one of the best looking ones out there. If any other company comes out with this game they get blasted over it.
I honestly don't think it looks good at all.Even if you don't think it's the best looking Switch game ever, it's most definitely one of the best looking ones out there.
I'd personally be baffled if a title that looks this good visually came from a 3rd party dev.
I haven't played anything on Switch that comes even remotely close the the Prime Remaster from any other company.
Can't really argue with that. But I personally don't think we would be seeing anything but praise for the visuals if a 3rd party dev managed to put out something that looked like this on the Switch.I honestly don't think it looks good at all.
But then again, I haven't given a fuck about Nintendo in over 2 decades now. I think the love people have for a brand can blind them to its flaws.
These graphics always look excellent on small screenshots, but never do in a real life.
Or everyone doesn't have the same expectations as you in the visual department, and maybe have higher expectations in other topics ?I think the love people have for a brand can blind them to its flaws.
Fingers crossed the docked Switch 2 Edition of the game can bring it up to 4K, or at least somewhat close using DLSS.These graphics always look excellent on small screenshots, but never do in a real life.
DirtInUrEye.
The original Snake Eater game. Now that was a bad looking release, made during the peak of the grey gaming era.
They are gonna need a higher quality texture pack though. Samus has already a good amount of detail but a lot of the environment around her is pretty low resolution, especially the ground.Fingers crossed the docked Switch 2 Edition of the game can bring it up to 4K, or at least somewhat close using DLSS.
I really hope we get to see it again on Wednesday in all its Switch 2 glory.
You are comparing High end gaming Pc game from back then to a 10 years old mobile chip.Crysis a game from 2007/2008 blows Metroid Prime 4 away, nearly 20 years later LOL.

I have no problems with titles not having the latest and greatest graphics, nothing in life is perfect.Or everyone doesn't have the same expectations as you in the visual department, and maybe have higher expectations in other topics ?

And Luigis Mansion 3 is best looking game i have seen on switch.
Beaten to it, but if any other developer came out with a Switch game that looked like this, I'd be just as impressed.3) If any other company comes out with this game they get blasted over it.
But if it looks great to many of us what's the problem? You're getting fomo for feeling different? Lol.I have no problems with titles not having the latest and greatest graphics, nothing in life is perfect.
My problem starts when people call mid graphics great and insist that we all have to do the same.
Ultimately that's your taste. But if it looks great to many of us what's the problem? You're getting fomo for feeling different? Lol.
Look, this is gonna blow your mind, but if we're talking purely about visuals, I'd rather play Xenoblade 3 or Elden Ring than RDR2 or TLOU whatever, they look better to me than the later, like there's just no comparison. See? This is how it works.
NoEven with that.. This isn't a very good looking game, like the new Xenoblade looks >>>> than this.
Maybe, who cares? If any other company comes out with this game they get blasted over it
Which is what we want. And we didn't see anything about the game yet, the footage we saw is maybe from the first hour or so, I would say even less. It's just more Metroid Prime to me
Ah, I can see the famous next gen variable resolutions going on in the middle of a screenshot. Marvelous.lol, lets at least be fair, RPG against RPG
thats what 11 TFLOPS can do, now show me again MP4 next gen visuals pls

If they've made a Switch 2 version I hope so, and that they've included more advanced lighting, effects etc. They are gonna need a higher quality texture pack though. Samus has already a good amount of detail but a lot of the environment around her is pretty low resolution, especially the ground.
It's Nintendo, they won't bother with that man. A res bump is all you'll get.If they've made a Switch 2 version I hope so, and that they've included more advanced lighting, effects etc.
It'll definitely be interesting to see the comparison shots.
Yeah, I'm definitely snorting hopium on this one. It's Nintendo, they won't bother with that man. A res bump is all you'll get.
this comparison is so dumbHow about PS5 graphics

I don't think people who are happy with these visuals are enforcing their opinion, unlike people who don't give a shit about the game, yet spam these topics with "this game looks like a PS2 game, Nintenlol".and insist that we all have to do the same
Sure... A sequel to a game just looks like that game... Unforgivable...Ultimately that's your taste.
But I honestly think the art design is also kinda mid. There's nothing very surprising about it is all.. It's just more Metroid Prime to me, and when you're 4 installments deep into a series, you better bring the A game on all levels.
I mean it took almost a decade to deliver the exact same visuals?Sure... A sequel to a game just looks like that game... Unforgivable...
Gotta love those downsampled stamp-sized gifs. Back in the day it was all Killzone though, now it's DriveClub?
