The DioBrando guy has had a gimmick about how Dark Souls and Mirror's Edge are the only "real games," released since 2006 for years now, predating GamerGate. One of the other dudes who has am post floating around appeared on a GameFAQs themed podcast and basically proved that his entire shtick is an act. I will say, it's pretty sad how it's gotten to the point where serious GGers are literally indistinguishable from rando GameFAQs trolls, which just speaks to how awful the movement is. Though I'm pretty sure there are actual GamerGate members who probably look at Undertale as "SJW crap ruining gaming," or whatever, so I guess you could play it to spite those people (though they also probably see most games as "SJW crap," including Life is Strange, Her Story, or any "censored," games like Xenoblade X).

The way I shop is, if I want to play it right now, then I buy it then. If not, just wait until you do or its on sale at a price that entices you at the moment. Because it could very well go on sale, even if it's just a dollar or two.

I just got off the phone with Miyamoto and he said he's done. He feels a great shame on him and Nintendo for allowing this to happen and has lost the will to continue producing video games. He sees no point passing on his knowledge and experience to younger generations, and in his day-to-day life will be making an effort to deter people from ever playing Ocarina of Time again (or for the first time). He couldn't confirm but he did say Nintendo may even consider wiping Ocarina of Time from their history and portfolio and just accepting defeat as second class developers at best.

Undertale is the reason why the next Zelda is going to be cancelled for the Wii U and be a iOS Exclusive, why bother anymore if they are not the best ever? Is done.

Undertale isn't that great. It's an okay game, but at the end of the day it's just another fandom fad thing.
We all get over excited sometimes, but yeah, on the official soundtrack on bandcamp the last 25 or so songs are hidden.
They add a lot of 'unf' to certain moments in the game, and in the case of this song it's certainly quite impactful.

You know what? I actually think Miyamoto would love Undertale, potential localization issues aside.
To call Undertale the greatest game ever is a little weird now since... it's so new.
But I really want to say it's a game that'll be remembered for years. I really hope so. I think its quite deserving of a lot of the love it gets right now. Despite it being a "tumblr" game or whatever bullshit it's pretty impressive when a game can reach out to so many people in such a way. I've bought the game for other people (I don't even personally own it, played it on my friend's comp) just so other people can enjoy it.

Very true. But growing up and seeing the same like, 20 games for "best games of all time," it just kind of makes me hope that in the future some games like these can fall within that category too.

Haven't finished it and I was very skeptical of Undertale after playing (and hating) Gone Home after hearing the things about that game. But so far, it's fucking fantastic, one of the best written games I've played in a long time.And that soundtrack...
OoT is on a whole other level, though. I like to think that I don't even have nostalgia glasses for it (played it for the first time AFTER the Wind Waker). It's just a marvel of entertainment.

Real issues with the poll:
The wrong Mario RPG made it to the finals.
Suikoden II eliminated early due to matchup against OoT.
Baldur's Gate II and Planescape: Torment eliminated early.

Considering his new "great ideas", I don't think so. Clearly, after playing Paper Mario Sticker Star, after 3D World or even considering the things we know about SMG developpement and SMG2, I think Miyamoto's hatred for charming stories and characters is real.
Much like OOT, Undertale is a game where its fans are pretty reluctant to admit problems with gameplay or content.
