Saw that game designer John Pickford had the same problem. He asked Amazon CS and they're sending him a free copy, so I've decided to go on Livechat to ask for the same thing.
Guys, im willing to buy the WiiU tomorrow but of all the titles that have been announced by now, i'm only interesed in Rayman Legends.
What's the chance of it being ported to X360 or PS3, without the gamepad touch screen functionality? Is there any?
I'd be pissed if the game ends up being multiplat :lol:

If you are really only interested in Rayman Legends then just wait till that game is out. If you think that you will play maybe some eShop games or other retail titles that are currently available, then go for it.

I think that the GamePad will only work with TVs, but I could be wrong. Maybe you can find something in the Wii U manual.

If I was you I'd go down there tomorrow with the intent of knocking over a magazine rack.
Retailers aren't allowed to force extras, AFAIK.
After trying this out and playing a few games, I'm surprised at how much I do actually like it. That being said, a lot of the technical issues are keeping me from wanting to buy it for a while. Just when I was playing it for a few hours, I had at least 4 lockups across two different games.

that's what I thought, but the girl was claiming the old £349.99 bundle doesn't exist any more at launch. the cheapest is £379.99 with a starter pack that I will absolutely need.

Right, Amazon are sending me out a free copy of Nintendoland to make up for the missing one in the bundle. Anyone else from the UK/EU with the same problem, get in touch with customer services and they should sort it out!

this is my plan. I'll pop in tomorrow and have a word with the manager. I've got a receipt showing the original bundle price, so I'll see what they have to say.

Go in tomorrow and demand you're £349.99, preorder. At the time of preorder you was told it will guarantee you a system on launch day for £349.99. Not the friday after or one next month. Launch day. You understand head office have told the store they need addon sales but you preordered for £349.99 and thats all you'll pay. Don't let them bully you into paying more or waiting.
Speak to the manager if need be and either he'll back down or you'll get your money back, not give GAME £349.99 and then complain to their head office whilst getting it cheaper elsewhere.
Just keep telling them you'll only pay the £349.99 as indicated on your preorder, otherwise you want compensation for your time and petrol...which is around £30 i'd say.

- Console is tiny, black is shiny!
- Disc reading is loud
- Menu loading is slow
- You unpack the box upside down lol (surely others did this too!!)
- Havent bothered with sensor bar
- Nintendoland is beautiful. Really stunning, just like you'd imagine Nintendo games would look in HD
- Game pad control my Sky HD box and Panny TV, great idea!
- Yoshi mini game is rad.
- nintendoland reminds me of all the small games that got released for DS, like Yoshi in fact
- I like the light to tell you there is a disc in the system, quite cool idea (when it's off)
- whole OS is charming, hope it speeds up!

That sucks. It's probably just a bad battery, but since it's part of the system you will either need to return the whole damn thing ( if you can) or find a replacement battery online and wait for it.
I don't know why tech companies fail to get this right with battery powered devices. I should be able to use any device that is plugged in to a charger even if the battery is dead or missing. A very simple circuit design would allow this, but no they go cheap and idiotic and require a working powered battery in series with the wall charger. Apple Ipods do this which comes as no surprise because Apple is incompetent at engineering and some cell phones do. My galaxy note does. It's moronic.
First is the fact that none are to be found in my town or anywhere near and second is I am hoping for one for Christmas, but it's unlikely. Reason it's unlikely is the cost is way above what my wife would spend as well as above what in-laws would spend(they biught us our wii so never know) and no stock even lessens the chance.

Buy it online. Target.com still has the 299.99 sku for purchase on the website. Deluxe is available but only on a store-by-store basis.
I find the light to be unnecessary since there's never a doubt (except when it's off, but I'm not sure why I would care about it when it's off) when there's a disc inside. Holy crap is it loud and it never stops spinning the disc. A future patch needs to address this. If I'm not using the disc, stop spinning it. I have the Wii U currently inside my nightstand, and I could hear it over the sounds of NSMBU with headphones on.
The service will launch in December, and all your purchases since launch will be honored.

It's Amazon's problem to fix since they shipped it, but ultimately Nintendo is going to have to compensate Amazon for it. I'd definitely much rather deal with Amazon support than Nintendo's.

It feels more to me like the Wii U vents are taking air in more than releasing it. The only part of the device that gets noticeably warm on mine is the huge power brick.
It's got to be spitting hot air put somewhere..

System update or game update? When I was doing my system update I got at least 5 errors. If it didn't save progress I'd still be trying to update.
