"Urgent" question guise :

I'll have to go to sleep soon since I wrok early tomorrow, but the update will likely end at 2 or 3 o'clock in my calculations...

So my question is : Will it install automatically and is there an auto power off ? Or will it still be on tomorrow morning ?

Thanks !

Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
Edit: opps, wrong thread.

New user tip: now only do you have to update the system, but most games too. So give yourself lots of time!

The way I currently have it set up is that the Wii U console is plugged into an outlet in my office, which is on the same floor as my living room about 25 feet and one wall away. Connection to the pad is terrible. If I move slightly the connection stutters or goes out until I stop moving the pad. My bedroom is in the room directly above the office and the signal is perfect up there.

Hmm. Best place for me would be on the dining table (wife might not like it though). Direct below the bedroom, and less than 10ft to the sofa. Would need a long HDMI cable but I've done at before with the projector.

How many of the games so far use the wiimote with the sensor bar? I'm thinking if the sensor bar is only used occasionally, I might pick up a wireless one and just drop it in front of the TV when needed, rather than having he wired one stuck on top all the time.

Edit: just got a server error while downloading the system update :/ is that flaky Nintendo network, or possibly a wifi issue?

Finished the update, posting this from the built-in Browser. Took about 1 hour to download and install. Now the console is on 2.0.0E.
Looking forward to check out Nintendoland tomorrow :)

Anyone ?

From what I remember, the automatic power-off feature is enabled by default. However, it should be temporarily disabled while the update is downloading and installing. I think it should install automatically.

I'd make sure no discs are inside the console in case it stays on all night, though. The disc doesn't seem to stop spinning as long as the console is on.

It asks you to reboot on the pad, system stays on.

Thanks. I guess I'll put on an alarm at 3 o'clock then.

This.when you make an update the power off feature is disabled. After downloading the update, it installs it. Just mind the battery life. On the system update, it blinked red so I charged it while updating. Don't know what will happen if you are updating , and the gamepad shuts down from the battery ...

How long does Nintendoland take to start? Been stuck at the title screen for a couple of minutes now. Lock up before even starting my first game? :/

Is there a way to turn the pad screen of when watching Netflix and the like? When I go to home menu and pad settings, the netflix pauses, then i turn the screen off, but the only way to unpause netflix is to hit a button, which turns the screen back on. Am I missing something?

There is no workaround for Netflix just yet, but you can turn off the GamePad display from the Home Menu and control New Super Mario Bros. U with a Wii Remote.

Personally, I keep my GamePad away and turn on the console with the Wii Remote so the GamePad doesn't have to be on at all when I play New Super Mario Bros. U.

Edit: I misunderstood your question. The screen has to be on in order to use the GamePad controls.

How can you view which accomplishments you have yet to achieve in Nintendo Land?
If you mean the stamps, you can view them by clicking the appropriate icon in the screen just before playing each game (the screen that usually consists of a camera panning around your Mii).

You can't view the requirements for each stamp, but the stamp name could provide a clue.
