Pretty solid so far, couple of dips in framerate, but certainly not unplayable, i picked it up because it was cheap and i never played the Harley DLC or did many challenges when i owned it on 360.
Gaffers, Lurkers, Playas, Pimps:
my NNID is Nibellum, just like my Twitter account - add and love me. I'll try to add some of you when I find the time later
BTW, this console?
Could become the new king in Local Gaming Land
BTW, this console?
Not yet. Just a place-holder atm.
You need to activate the Friendslist first, no request possible.
I still don't have a survey on my AU Club Nintendo :/. My Club Nintendo account is linked in the eStore, and Mario, ZombiU, and Nintendo Land are all registered, but no survey to confirm and register my system.
Lame.
Can't wait to play Kid Icarus on this thing (almost guaranteed IMHO). 3DS version was unplayable for me sadly.
Yup. I originally suggested it may be called WiiDS (can you imagine the epicness of that crossover appeal?) although it could be read as "weeds".On that subject, it only just hit me yesterday just how much the Wii U is essentially a giant 3DS. Not just in terms of the two screen dynamic, but the OS too.
I ask this as well! Why can't I navigate WaraWara plaza when it's on the TVscreen??Silly question time.
On the home screen of the console, you can swap around the menu and your Mii from the gamepad... however the gamepad always controls what's on your pad, not the TV. Can't I use the menu on the TV?
It's bizarre the dedicated app can be so much worse than just the browser. So the YouTube aoo is as bad as people said it was. My system is set to English. The manual for YT is in French. Well Done Google.

Heh.
Well, the support for the proper YouTube site is absolutely brilliant. So its a non issue, really.
I've hidden the YouTube and health warning apps far away on the last page of my OS.

When will we see a Wii U Sports?
Getting slightly wound up with the UK pricing. Everywhere I've looked has NSMB for over £40. Fucking hell.
I might just get a £50 Eshop voucher from GAME and use it to buy it digitally. I have £12 points on my reward card, so it'll only cost me £38.
I could get the retail copy, but I think that's £49.99 anyway. So yeah.
Why take a chance hoping the gamepad can hold your weight when you can just use the balance board?I'm interested in how standing on the GamePad to act as a balance board will work!
Seems it requires a Wii remote.
Went to my local Tesco superstore last night to get some new work shoes. Checked out the Wii U section.
The Wii U section consisted of NSMBU, Zombi U and Fifa, priced at £42, £45 and £45 respectively, muddled in with the Wii chart.
That was it. No consoles. No other games. No POS. No accessories. And this is a store with two aisles dedicated to games.
Well done Tesco, you bunch of incompetent plebs.
Same with Sainsburys near me.
No consoles, Zombi U and NSMBU for £44.99 each.
No point of sale or advertising.
On Miiverse, what does it mean when a post has a little icon with a cube and a tick?
Finally got round to using the web browser. Streaming South Park to my tv and neogaf on the gamepad. brilliant browser!!
doesn't nintendo have to buy advertising space and stuff in the store? maybe they decided not to do it? or am I thinking of something entirely unrelated...
It means the person has played that game.
By curiosity, I visited a large outlet here (FNAC), which is a popular place for shopping (books, CDs, DVDs, videogames, etc.), especially during holydays.Went to my local Tesco superstore last night to get some new work shoes. Checked out the Wii U section.

I'm not sure. I know in some stores, mainly electrical stores or departments if you see say a Samsung 'Hub' with all their products on, they pay for that.
But there's not even a ticket which says anything remotely like 'there's a new home console out and it's called Wii U'. There is nothing there to stop a mum or dad unknowingly buying NSMBU and presuming it works on their Wii.
Nintendo probably have all sorts of point of sale stuff available. But it's poor on Sainsburys part.
I wish we had websites we could stream things like that in the uk, just get not in your region when you click on sites like that. Ahh well, browser is indeed very good very impressed, also like it pops up if you have went in from playing a game so you can easy search for it.

On a different subject, I was wondering... I've yet to experience a single freeze (fingers crossed).
- have european players also got freezes, or did they manage to include a fix in the first update?
- are US players still getting freezes now?
- is this problem limited to a small (?) percentage of users, maybe because of a hardware problem? I was under this impression by reading this topic, even if it's difficult to say because most of the time, people without problem won't say much about this...
