Investors' meeting is on the 26th (probably 25th in our time zones). I don't know the exact time, but it'll be hard to miss if you're on GAF those days.. we tend to make a spectacle of ourselves around such events.
Nintendo Direct? No clue.
I expect to get some good information out of this meeting. Just throw us a bone or two Iwata!
If anything, I think we might see them pull a Nintendo and show hardware but no screens - just to get that initial buzz.. just enough to take some off of Nintendo, but not enough to overshadow the upcoming products for the upcoming year.

It was "Super Mario 4," damn. Ah well, I'm sure Nintendo have been experimenting with more extensive 2 player co-op in 3d Mario regardless. Hopefully they're able to nail it down cuz it's something I'd love to see.

The quarterly earnings release is around close of business on the 26th JST, or very early in the morning EDT. The briefing itself is the following day in Japan, which should mean around 9 PM EST on the 26th.

It's EA, of course not! It's Insomniac's first multiplatform game.
The announcement was really premature. Insomniac had two games releasing a few months after the trailer debuted, so it doesn't surprise me that we haven't seen any gameplay footage yet.
A good interview of David Adams & Joe Madureira about the development of Darksiders 2, planned to be released on Wii U.

I believe they might. DKCR came out in 2010 and it's been said they have been working on something long before Nintendo approached them to work on DKCR.

I get incredibly sad when people say that there were no good Wrasslin' games past the N64 era. Usually, it's because they only had a Playstation 2 and didn't realize that the good games just stayed with Nintendo.
I could see it being trollbait, like an unshielded lighthouse beckoning for voraxes..

Miyamoto's interview says a new "Super Mario" game, the Nintendo PR rep said a new "Super Mario Bros" game.
Also, I heard a rumour that Nintendo might make a Zelda game for this console as well as a mainline Pokémon game for their portable!!!!(edit)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same here. I think it's because after No Mercy people moved onto Smackdown series, which was alright, but leagues below No Mercy. I think Day of Reckoning is the only game that came the closest to No Mercy for me.

Yup. The 3DS launch was a catastrophe for Nintendo- if anything they will probably overcompensate to make sure that doesn't happen again.

I think Nintendo figured that out after the 3DS launch. Mario is a system seller for them, so they need it out as soon as possible. They could have up to a year head start on Sony and MS and games like Mario will allow them to build up a lot of momentum before those two consoles launch.

I already said I'll believe it when I see it. And even then I don't expect it at launch. We saw SMG at E3 06 and it wasn't at launch.
They don't need Mario at launch.

We the fanatics would win big if that happened. Any doubt about taking a whole week off would go out the window.. hehe!
And, thinking of the longer term, Nintendo needs to come out guns a'blazin' and get as many sales as possible before the NUTs are exposed.
