I got it, going to run it through its paces and report back!
You doing it on your 1020?
EDIT: NM, should have refreshed before posting.

It isn't, but in my 2 years on WP, I never even knew.
You need to enter the pass code though, so it's mostly useless
I was crazy enough to put the update on my 1020. Just closed my first app with the new "x" button in the multitasking screen, feels good man.
Excellent! Finally custom ringtones!
I have only been waiting 3 years!

I think only 1080p displays can do the 3 column thing, and the 1520's going to be the first 1080p deviceDid anyone figure out a way to deal with the 3 columns yet? Care to share screens?

We've had custom ringtones for a while...
Just a rumor. Wasn't true.....yet...
didn't realize it was coming out today.
It's too early to say, but I just updated my DD 920 with no ill effectsIs this safe to do on my daily driver?

Updated.
First thing I did was to turn off the fucking autorotation
Wait I spoke too soon! How the hell do I set a custom tone?! It says this on the blog:
- More useful ringtones: With Update 3, you can use custom ringtones for more thingsincluding instant messages, emails, voicemails, and reminders. You can also assign custom ringtones to contacts for text messages, so you'll know who's texting you without even looking.
But I cannot find anyway to do it!
Nokia is pushing hard for business customers but many want a blackberry-like notification light. Glance screen notification aren't the same as that colored led.
For those asking-- 3rd column in start (and all the other related UI changes throughout OS) are for LARGE SCREEN devices only (w 1080p).
a lot of our work has been focused on getting new, great apps. my 10-year old son has gotten started.. you can too! http://apps.windowsstore.com/default.htm
Right, up and running.
Having the x there might actually entice me not to instantly close all my apps after using them.
Connect to Wi-Fi in OOBE when switching on your new phone for the first time or after you your reset your phone, so you can restore your data even before connecting to a cellular network.
you should only really need to do it on apps that use location. I imagine those are the main battery-life killers
This is my favorite
Yeah, it was my favorite feature in Mango.
Perfect time to send my 920 in for repairs
I may have to go get a 520 or 620.
Get the 620 for $99 at Best Buy
$99 620
So this is just an update right, nothing gets wiped?

It's the GDR3 RTM, but without the sugarcoating by Nokia (i.e. Bittersweet Shimmer).
Yep.
Does this mean the upcoming business stuff like VPN is going to be pushed out like this as well? Finally, a progress bar on the spinning gears.
