Xbox One Download Games |OT| News, Announcements, Reviews, and Impressions Thread

Asked this elsewhere but might as well here too. Anyone else having issues with syncing data lately? It seems like each game I play has to load up on the syncing data screen for a few minutes before it goes live. Very annoying.

Every now and then, the save sync will take several seconds or up to a minute or so when I launch a game. Seems to be a result of the servers being busy or something. Yes, it's annoying.

Hey East, not saying your list isn't complete because I haven't checked it but just know that the Xbox One Wikipedia rarely gets updated like the PS4 one does. I try my best to update it but have not in a while. I know there are a lot of titles missing from it that no one has bothered to add

I think the best way would be to go into the store on the console and just scroll through that way

edit: For instance, just for December alone your list is missing:

Frizzy
Battle High 2 A+
Starpoint Gemini 2
Line of Defense Tactics
Baseball Riot
STARWHAL
Rock Zombie
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Kungfu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing

Man, I thought the additions I made earlier (such as the downloadable Japanese games) got the Wikipedia list up to spec. Whoops!

Hopefully the December games are all that's missing. That'd put us up to 175 total non-Chinese releases. I'll add them in later if I get a chance. Probably won't have the time to look through Xbox.com, but I appreciate it if you or anybody else finds more games missing from the Wiki and list.

There's a lot missing, that was just an example :p

I can try and go through the store and lost everything tomorrow, no promises though since its New Years and all :p

Man, MS's GWG marketing of KI is working on me. Loving season one of Killer Instinct so far. Probably going to crack and buy season 2.

If you're digging Killer Instinct, you might also consider the Ultimate Shadow Jago Pack. It's on sale for $10 and will stop being available entirely after January 18th. Shadow Jago became a fully-fleshed out character in December, so it's worth the buy IMO.

Thank you for reminding me that I need to play The Fall

Good idea! I need to go back and get the Achievements I missed sometime, too.

Laserlife is a bad game. It has good music and neat visuals but the game play is not good or fun. It's physically exhausting trying to visualize in three dimensions where all of the musical notes are located in this rhythm game...top right, far left, bottom left, middle, default position, lower, higher, etc... I'm going to go for the 800/1000 gamerscore then retire this game.

My first impressions of Hyper Void are that it's very good!

It plays sort of like Gyrus, with your ship always confined to either a horizontal plane or a circular axis (like the half pipe bonus levels in Sonic 2). HyperZone for the Super NES might have been an influence too. The visuals are trippy and colorful, and the frequently changing perspectives and backdrops create a lot of variety for a shoot 'em up.

I don't know if it gets too hard eventually, but I found the first 4 levels reasonable. Really impressive for an obscure develop from a country not known for its game development scene.

Hopefully I'll be back with a proper review in a week or two.

One thing, though. I should have earned a few Achievements, but none popped. Could they be messed up right now?

Does anybody know a country in which Cubot is actually available to buy? Doesn't seem to be out in GB either.

Hyper Void's Achievements seem to be popping the next day rather than when earned, for me anyway.

Hey, Cubot is made by a French dev (or French speaking anyway), which explains why the game description isn't gibberish for once. ^^ (except for two grammatical mistakes, but that still better than what we're used to)

We got a date for Stranger in Sword City. March 22nd.

Stranger of Sword City is the next step in the evolution of the traditional dungeon RPG genre, which will be released at an affordable price on the Xbox One.
Players will be able to switch between the beautiful and fantastical art style of Yoko Tsukamoto, or the art style of oxijiyen, an artist renowned for their cute character graphics, for the NPC illustrations in game.

This title contains the three core elements of attraction for dungeon RPGs: character creation, conquering various dungeons, and dungeon crawling gameplay. Furthermore, our experience and know-how with a large number of titles within the Dungeon RPG genre has allowed us to create enhanced support features that allow our users to enjoy the title to their hearts content.

Hyperdrive Massacre launches on the 13th for $9.99. It's 4-player local-multiplayer and supports bots. Single-screen deathmatch game in which everyone controls a flying car. I don't think the Achievements are live yet.

Maybe you've already fixed this, but I think you are missing quite a few. You can look at GameRankings or MetaCritic and get a list of all releases in a year, but DLC is lumped in. Either way, it's pretty clear you have gaps. I don't see Mega Man Legacy Collection, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5, Magic Duels: Origins, Shovel Knight, Divinity: Original Sin; The Deer God, or The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing.

Here's what GameRankings & Metacritic report from 2015 that you don't have (although some may be inaccurate, some may be bundled pieces of other games, and others may be DLC and not full games):

Edit - I've checked against the Wiki, and maybe 1/4 of these are there, but the rest are missing.

You should have change te region in the webste simple clicking on the option in the lower left corner of the page....

The bottom of account.xbox.com shows "Change my region":
gl7b.png

Then when you click on "Payment & Billing", there's another identical "Change my region" link:
hl7b.png

I was looking for "Change my region", I found it, so I did it. It just happens the first one you come across is not for changing your region, but for account migration.

So it's been 3 months since I made this mistake, and I've migrated my account back to the US. It does seem though that Microsoft has changed things around to made this change a little more clear. Previously both options were under "change my region" links, but on different pages. The billing region option is still "change my region", and is still under the billing section. The account migration is now within the "xbox settings" section, and is labeled "change 360 account region". (because it really doesn't do anything with the Xbox One side of your account, that's managed by your console settings.)
