Nintendont can support everything that uses Bluetooth to communicate, or USB. GamePad uses proprietary 5GHz Wi-Fi Direct connection, so they can't add support for it. Hopefully Nintendo's shenanigans for making their Wii re-releases work with the GamePad will help Nintendont developers to add GamePad support.
You're not buying one for Xenoblade?
Is there any reason to buy these if I already own the disks?

I can play a super Nintendo game with the wii u game pad,
is this not the same?
Keep in mind that Sin and Punnishment's great sales on VC lead to a new oneFuck everything. I just got the Trilogy on disk. Can't justify buying it again when it probably won't even fit on my Wii U. But at the same time, I kind of want to buy it just so I can show Nintendo Other M sold like shit because it was a shit game, not because it was a Metroid game and that good Metroid games can and will make money.
So I'm torn.
You can use the gamepad to play them? I don't know how much you care about that though. Also, they will probably have miiverse communitys. Don't know about that though.

It's really kind of sad that you can play DKCR with a classic controller on any Wii (including the Wii mode of Wii U) with a simple Ocarina cheat but you won't be able to play the eShop version sans waggle.
Oh right, full priced remasters, like how Nintendo have already done with Wind Waker. These are Virtual Console, though, the old games uploaded digitally. I don't recall any of my PS1 PSN games getting a higher resolution.
My Mario Galaxy 2 disc save works fine with this digital version, loaded right up, yay
this is an old screen but borders look the same:
They don't, sadly.
None of the initial launch lineup allows for GamePad control use in North America.
Nintendont = Wii mode (vWii) hack. SNES VC = Wii U application. Very different things.
Ah well, Wiimote sideways still worked pretty great & I've got my Skyward Sword one I can use.Wiimote sideways and motion controls are the only means of playing. Odd that none of the initial lineup allows for GamePad controls. My copy of Punch-Out was stolen years ago, so I'll pick this up for $10 without a second thought.
Mine are sorted by generation (NES and then on in order) but I wish there were smooth color transitions. I don't want all my folders one color and especially not tons of colors.Just made a "Wii" folder and threw the Wii mode icon in there. Waiting for Galaxy 2 to finish up. I still haven't really decided how I want my folders to be set up. Anyone else have folder OCD? I change how mine are presented at least twice a week if not more.
Absolutely. And for $10? It's a no-brainer.Question regarding MPT, I still own my old gamecube and the original Metroid Prime. Are the second and third parts worth it?
Alright thanks!Kirby - no, use homebrew with cheats to enable CC.
S&P2 - yes
Pandora's Tower - yes

Alright thanks!
I eagerly look forward to playing these games on the gamepad.![]()
They're only some of the best games ever.

It's 10 bucks dude.
Yes, off tv play and no more forced waggle. That completely fixes donkey kong country returns (and twilight princess if they release that.)
No idea. There's something weird going on if Nintendont can support pro and not gamepad, and Wii VC titles can support Gamepad but not Wii U Pro...
Can't play Resi 4 from the comfort of my bed yet though ;(

About to download Mario galaxy 2. The game sells for $29.99. Being able to purchase for 10.99 is great.
Also wii remote+nunchuck controls for galaxy were fantastic. Some people really hate the remote for no reason. Going to play the shit out of this
Just to clarify, you can use the GamePad as a controller for some games, but even with those there's no Off-TV Play, right? Thanks!
Any idea if we can use the Wii U pro controller for games that support the Wii classic controller pro?
Also I really hope they release Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn in the same manner!
Would have ordered a Wii U if they were HD.
Less than a tenner for MPT; fucking bargain of the generation right there.
In North America, yes. You have to remember, though, that Nintendo's main operation is in Japan, where consoles are becoming a niche product and JRPGs are huge.
