How about for Prime 1 and 2 sans Wiimote pointer controls?
In other words did the Wii collection versions of Prime 1 and 2 force Wiimote controls or did it give you the option to use the Classic Controller (Pro)?
The prices are pretty outrageous. as expected.
For now, Nintendont is your option.Probably already mentioned but I was pleasantly surprised to see my previous save files working with my newly dl Mario Galaxy 2. I know, it should be a given, but in this day and Nintendo age just about everything they do is a surprise for better or worse. Anyways, happy with the game...glad the Wii is represented...now where da frack is the GC games I've been harping about?
What are the odds of pro controller support added for Galaxy 2 later?

What I find really sad about Xenoblade not being confirmed for this program yet is, well...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but not a single one of the confirmed Wii DD games supports the classic controller. Xenoblade would be a perfect fit since EVERYONE who has a WiiU has a gamepad. Not everyone with a WiiU has a Wiimote.
Just an opinion.
Sorry if this has been asked but how is the Wii U GamePad going to work with pointer-shooter Wiimote controls of the Wii Metroid Prime series.
I remember Metroid Prime 3 having some of my favorite FPS controls of the gen.
Edit: Or Mario Galaxy's Wii-mote implementation for that matter?
I'd like to know about that too. I tried without sensor bar, using the gamepad screen but I didn't get a response. I'm afraid gamepad only works as sensor bar after vWii has launched. It tells me to point my wii remote at the tv and I'm pointing it at my monitor but nothing is happening.
I'll probably still buy MPT, but should I just play my GC copy of MP? I don't own MP2's GC copy at all though, is Wiimote that bad? lol
Also, are you guys sure punch out wii doesnt support CC? cause it sure as hell supports gamecube controllers(thats what I played it with) and I dont know a single wii game that if they have the option for gamecube controllers they dont also have a option for CC controls.
Are you unemployed? The prices are pretty outrageous. as expected.
Prime's motion controls are goddamn amazing and shit all over the Gamecube controls.
When I first played corruption back in the day it was the game that single handedly made me a believer in motion controls.Prime's motion controls are goddamn amazing and shit all over the Gamecube controls.
Just thought of something, the reported issues with external HDDs, could that be dependent on the model you're using? Mine is a 2TB Seagate HDD that's one of the specifically recommended model #'s on Nintendo's site.
Perhaps those using ones not listed, or even really unknown cheap brands are facing said issues? There are an ocean of HDDs out there to choose from after all.
Yes, the most likely differences between those who get it to work and those who don't are HDD model or Wii U OS version. I have no issue running it from the HDD (also a 2TB Seagate, with the latest OS update).

This. The aiming is really precise, the switching between visors and weapons is very intuitive and the platforming works out pretty well

Much prefer playing thru MP 1&2 with motion.

Oh I Nintendont, it's just I've been pining for legitimate off the eshop shelf GC downloads. Then I wouldn't have to go into homebrew, that beautiful GC game icon could rest snugly in a folder of the same name on the dash... Baby steps Nintendo, baby steps. For now, Nintendont is your option.
I hope if Xenoblade is still later down the road, that The Last Story will show up soon.
Itching to play that again and on the GamePad? Yes, please.

$10 each for games that can easily fit in the "Wii Top 10" is absolutely fair.
ONE DOLLAR

Punch-Out!! has three control options, AFAIK: Wiimote+Nunchuk (motion-based); sideways Wiimote (button-based "classic NES" scheme) and Wiimote+Nunchuk+Balance Board (motion-based EX Turbo' Revival Dash Plus... or something like that. Much motion.)
The CCP supported by the game, as far as I can tell. Are you sure you played with the GCN controller? That's the first time I hear about it. Pretty neat, though.
Not that I disagree with the general principle, but Mega Man isn't a very good example since you can get the entire original series on the PS2 via the Anniversary Collection for around 5 bucks.
So games after the first three wont be on sale first week?
No clue sadly. I would hope they do this every time. If Nintendo sees a decline of sales after the first week, they might decide to continue it.
I also hope we might see lower prices for games that featured online, especially ones where they were pretty crucial, like Mario Kart Wii and Brawl. I dunno, $15 and $7.50 first week?
I can't pay that kind of money, though.
Yes that seemed to be my problem. When I read the gamepad would work as a sensor bar, I assumed that would be through the whole process not just for after the game had launched >_>I'd like to know about that too. I doubt they'll release games like MK or Smash, since there's MK8 and Smash4. Zangeki no reginleiv has online feature, so we can wait and see.
So wait.. I can play the Metroid Prime games streaming to my Wii U pad? That's it?
Tempting.
Yes, technically, but you still need to use a Wiimote and nunchuk.
How has metroid prime trilogy aged? I only played about 1/2 of prime 1 back in the gamecube days. Are the dated graphics particularly off putting?
You guys complaining about $10 for these games...smh. It's not out of line with what PSN charges for classic games. MPT is a fucking steal at $10.
How big do we think the file size of the prime trilogy will be? Around 4 or 5gb?
