E3 2015 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3

This game is such a massive tease. All the assests are there for a Animal Crossing Wii U game, the plaza that was around for 2 years... I'm wondering if the creators are stuck with how to innovate the game, or the edict to move to NX has been given.

There's just so little enthusiasm in general for what Nintnedo brought to the show this year. The low view count on the Treehouse stream is a reflection of that. I'm certain they'll continue with this format as it really works wonders in communicating the ins and outs of their games without being reliant on outside sources or just their one big Direct.

True. And to think how high the enthusiasm was at sunday during the NWC that had like half a million viewers lol. At least there are good games coming out this year, making it worth watching even though the Direct was atrocious.

I'm sort of glad that they didn't reveal a full-on Wii U AC game. I'm still working on New Leaf, but the fatigue is setting in.

This... isn't for me, but I hope that Nintendo gets a good return on investment and people enjoy it.

Am I crazy in thinking this game as a non-game is sort of the perfect board game spin-off for Animal Crossing? AC is sort of like a digital zen garden where you kind of do nothing. A board game that's whole point is just to make everyone as happy as possible seems kind of in line to me.

Have you read the youtube comments? There is no way they would think that. It is the games that dragged this shit down.

Ive read Gaf, twitter, youtube, their facebook-page etc. Its the same all over so yeah, they would be stupid to take it that way. But then again they greenlighted this show...

Really? I thought most reviews complained about it. Or was it that is had to be the A button on the Gamepad as opposed to the Wii remote?
If players were using wiimotes and not amiibos they had full control of their turn with the wimotes IIRC. Heck, the person with the gamepad could actually press A on the pad and roll the dice for them too.

I might remember things wrong but 20k seems about the same amount that many of the Treehouse segments last year had.

Ok, I would have guessed much higher considering all the praise it got, but you might be right! I guess 20k is the real number of diehards left.
and Im one of them

Who knows what they smoked. I just hope they doesnt take the low viewership the wrong way and stops this.

I wouldn't call the viewership low, it's fairly solid if you ask me. They are among the most popular channels on Twitch, even during less exciting segments. I don't remember how high they were last year, but I think Nintendo are very aware of that their content this E3 is not as good as last year so lower viewerships were to be expected.

God this music is so repetitive and annoying. The intermittent bell sound is like water torture, you don't know when it's gunna happen again. And it sounds like my email alert noise.

Maybe one day I'll be able to get into Animal Crossing. I only tried New Leaf three times, barely played 20 hours, but I just don't get the point.

Man i wonder why am i still watching this. The game is boring but this kind of presentation in itself is really awesome, it's nice to have people from the team commenting the game and the hosts are great as well.

No you're not going crazy, this board game is a wonderful spin-off for Animal Crossing fans !!!

Can anyone tell me why this isnt a mainline Animal Crossing game?

Making an Animal Crossing game had to cross someone's mind over at nintendo during the brainstorming session.

Is there any excuse?

Let's see... main director of Animal Crossing was working on Splatoon, secondary director had a team on Happy Home Designer, and there was that big move from one building to the new building. Logistics?

Those are good excuses, I'd rather have SPLATOON this year and a few small Animal Crossing projects to tide me over while they work on the next one.

So, I like my Squids and Happy Home Designer looks superb. This game? Free or... free with Amiibo. I'm good with that.

Did anyone high up at Nintendo see the final video? There is no way anyone can say yes, this video here shows what Nintendo is about 2015-2016. This right here will create excite for current 3ds and wii u fans and encourage people who haven't bought yet to buy now or the coming future. This damn fucking 45 min video right here is shows what we want. Yes, lets end this stupid donkey balls video with a song, lets add as much developer interviews as possible to this shit ass E3 video to show the world of entertainment.

Yes as Nintendo, a leader in the gaming industry, we are proud of this fucking piece of shit video to post on youtube.

-stares at you- Are you working for Nintendo with these sentences? :P

i think this is a way better idea than a standard animal crossing, especially so soon after new leaf

people want nintendo to go full mass production with all of their ips and i'm glad nintendo has resisted that urge

There's more people viewing Treehouse Twitch than Playstation Official Twitch
It was like that last year as well. Nintendo actually promotes their 3-day stream alongside their conference unlike other companies. They just mention they have 3-day streams and don't really promote it alongside their conferences. It should be expected that Nintendo has more viewers.

And then if you want to see games for Nintendo platforms, you would have to watch this so there is a higher concentration of viewers. If you want to see something for PC, PlayStation, or Xbox, you can just watch any stream.
---------

The viewer count is also lower than last year's where it had the most viewers during most of the 3 days of E3.
