It also doesn't require cards, and it deeper than people are giving it credit. I'd compare it to a game like Style Savvy. Either way, it doesn't require cards as Villagers appear in town and you can ask them to move in. I believe the cards are if you want to hand pick your villager, or have a special character, like KK Slider or Isabelle, move in.
Amiibos or cards is what I meant. Amiibo Festival uses both, while Happy Home uses cards
Why is Nintendo pushing for this game? Hate these Toys to Life games, and its fad that will just go away one day ( Not necessary Amiibo but every other game that uses it heavily)

Games sell and usually the most across Nintendo platforms. Vicarious Visions and Activision have a great relationship too.Why is Nintendo pushing for this game? Donkey Kong Country: Nails and ScrewsIt just hit me.
This looks like what a RARE game would look like if they were still with Nintendo.
My impression of the Skylanders-games, has been that the gameplay seems to be very simple. Is that still the case? Its the same feeling I get from the Lego-games btw.

Didn't expect Skylanders to look that good tbh. Also DK looks boss, but now gimme King Bowser!
Btw, do we know what was that Nintendo title Gamespot was supposed to show?

ZELDA U SAY?Super Mario Maker is up next, followed by Zelda.
People said Pokemon was a fad too
Maybe it is a fad, but why not take advantage of them while they're hot. And it may be long lasting.
Super Mario Maker is up next, followed by Zelda.
Damn, Skylanders looks really good for a Wii U game. I'd totally buy it if I could just play the game without buying the toys.
Probably shitty, since most of the talent from that company left.
kind of hope not Zelda would just make me more frustrated.Super Mario Maker is up next, followed by Zelda.
I don't know, thats what they said about Guitar Hero and Rock Band and those games had a long bad stigma for years.
I have feeling, while they sell now, they will leave a bad connotation behind them, especially since Activistion is just milking the franchise to death.
Personally there's a good chance i'll buy it, especially if bundled with DK or Bowser (or both, but that's unlikely rotfl). The figures are awesome and i'm curious to try this new version, plus having these two characters is a huge bonus.Damn, Skylanders looks really good for a Wii U game. Yeah i agree, scale is not huge in the footage but the visuals look impressive. Very high quality assets and great effects.I think most people write the game off because it's Skylanders, but the games are very visually impressive, and have been for the last few games. The characters are quite charming, and what's more is that all of their older characters are compatible with their new games, unlike Disney Infinity where you can only enjoy them in the Toy Box.
Ugh. Again? Damn at this point i don't want to see the game anymore, i just want to play it :\The GameSpot game was Xenoblade.
Yeah, because talent can't be replaced. <_<
And there are still a lot of the old guard left at Rare.
ZELDA U SAY?
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
IKR?I like Jacket Kong, ha ha ha.
fog covers up anything remotely distant.
Skylanders is more like a Diablo "lite".
You explore areas, beat waves of enemies, collect loot, level up, unlock abilites or buy items with said loot.
The game can be played to finish with just the startet pack, no need to buy more figures unless you want more.
It can be, sure, but there's no guarantee. They weren't replaced when they migrated over to MS, and while I don't think the games they have produced have been garbage or anything, I think it's pretty obvious that the company wasn't the same from the talent leakage that came prior to the buyout. I don't know, maybe Nintendo would've done more if they had bought them out, but I don't think it's a guarantee, either. Nintendo neglects a lot of their own homegrown franchises.
I was at E3 this year, so I got to check out the show in-person. Was a lot of fun, and the Treehouse crew is good people.
Of course, the downside is that I didn't get to watch any of it outside of what I saw live, but I suppose the archived streams should give me some awesome shit to watch this weekend.
