Some pretty awesome billboard work going for this movie

Nice to hear a positive review too, seems Fox are on a roll now.

This thread is all doom and gloom.

Let's look for some positives:

+ Soundtrack by the incredible Philip Glass
+ Positive reactions to screenings so far (looking at twitter and other places)
Isn't Marco Beltrami also doing the score?

Yeeeah, I'll be cautious about that one.

Lost me at "Now of course, a lot of Marvel fanboys will hope and pray it fails but".

It's not entirely wrong. I've seen a fair few comments with people hoping it bombs terribly so FOX give up and hand the rights back to Marvel.

I hope it does well, but I'm not expecting a lot. The Thing looks great, so the movies are slowly getting better. It's just a shame that Doom looks like he does.

It might not be wrong, but you don't put that shit in a review.

Every time you people guess RT scores there should be something on the line.
Why, I don't really give a shit if I'm right or not.

A quick search on Twitter shows some positive impressions coming from that screening tonight, this guy retweeted some of them

Been rooting for this movie, i believed in Trank from when he signed on, i thought from Chronicle alone he showed such great promise, so i've been hoping he'd pull through, i these reactions seem to be a good sign so far.

also while i'm still here 2 more things: the Phillip Glass/Marco Beltrami score is pretty incredible; and Disney is directly promoting this movie on the Disney Channel

I guess Fox and Marvel/Disney's relationship isn't as hostile as it appeared to be? It's weird because Disney Channel does these style of promos for the last few MCU films, but none for any Fox Marvel movies like the past few X-movies or such. Huh. Y'know i read some crazy bs sounding rumor earlier this month that Marvel and Fox's relationship was being repaired and that they were negotiating to do an Avengers Vs X-Men movie in like 2020 or some shit. I didn't believe it at all, but it sounds a little....intriguing now after this recent discovery.

Early impressions are always positive.

it's a site called comicbookmovie.com i'd expect them to put that in the review and much more.

it's not like it's some major professional publication or anything lol.

I'm sorry but I just don't think the Whiplash guy can be a big star. He doesn't have the face for it. He's like Jeremy Renner, one of those people movie execs are pushing on us that we don't really want.

I'll always rate someone's acting ability over their face to be honest.

They said the same about guys like Steve Buscemi and the opposite of guys like Casper van Dien. Rating actors by their looks is rarely wise.

Avengers 2 as well.

Pointless property damage and destruction porn are SO in right now.

Pointless?

It seems like Man of Steel's final action sequence is a major catalyst for the events in BvS.

As for Avengers 2,
Banner takes the destruction caused while he was under the influence of Scarlet Witch very seriously. He leaves the group and goes into hiding.

Still, destruction is fun!

Well, some of it is always necessary... but did it have to be IHOPs and Sears?

And that government satellite at the end was just uncalled for.
But nothing tops this overreaction.

"That guy poured a beer on me... I'm going to RUIN HIS LIFE!"
Clark, clark... Seriously, your mother raised you better than that.

Ahhhh the justification for poor storytelling.

Yeah, that bit was weird. He should have let the guy punch him, and then act like the blow was weak, grab him by the wrist and put him down without actually throwing a single punch. Humiliate him because he's obviously a dick, but there's no need to wreck his livelihood.
