One of the most beautiful games I've ever played. Not just on a technical level, because people will bith and moan about everything, but just from an aethetic point of view. Its the only game where I cant help myself but to go into photo mode and just sit there watching the sunrise or sunset, with the amazing relaxing music (love the low fi music option) and just look with awe at the landscape. Its mesmerizing. Pure work of art. Not cluttered with towers and even the outposts look like they actually belong.
And I dont know what it is, but as someone who is really tired of open world games, this one just works. It doesnt feel like an endless checklist. I can just turn everything off and have a relaxing stroll through the world, without following map markers, without a map in general. The entire way the game is build makes exploration feel so much more organic and less stressful. Its small details, but they work.
Also I really love the music and interestingly the implementation of the dual sense controller. At first it felt a bit gimmicky to use it this much, but know I actually love it, makes scenes just that little bit more impactful. Feeling the difference between a light and a heavy footstep, feeling the music vibrate through your hands. Its really cool and immersive.
For me certinaly GoTy candiate.
