Had no idea i was even able to look at my first posts since they date back from 2005. Stuff is too weird, i was defending Perfect Dark Zero(before it came out) and was calling Halo an overrated piece of crap.

I fucking love Halo what the fuck Raiden.

I was 16

I finally found a used copy last night. I'm loving the game so far, though I wish they had gone with a grid-based map like the original game.

I was talking about Animal Crossing New Leaf. I must have searched all of Tokyo for a damn copy.

I went to goodcow's site and the oldest post I could find was 2003, talking Post Mortem about the Dreamcast. That's nowhere near the oldest thing I ever posted though, I think I must have posted in 99 at least.

Space thread of course. (01-30-2012, 09:52 AM)

Hello Neogaf. Long time lurker, first time poster. I am obsessed with space and look into the heavens whenever possible. I would like to post some of my own pics that I took of the moon if that's alright. To take pictures I simply align the camera on my Android phone with an eye piece on my telescope; it is difficult to get a very clear image as I’m trying to center a pinpoint of light and not move my hands – the vibration is even more noticeable at higher magnifications, but I digress.

For eyepieces I have:
25mm (gives 36 x magnification)
10mm (gives 90x)
6mm (gives 150 x)
I also have a 2x Barlow which will double the magnification of any eyepiece.

Following are at 90x:

150x or 180x; I don't recall:

Z.H.P.: Unlosing Ranger VS. Darkdeath Evilman is one that hasn't been mentioned yet. Rouge-Like and Disgaea collide!

The gameplay can be a little grindy, but for an NIS title its very brisk, and the humor is great.

Aww, I started out so fresh and full of hope.

From there I devolved into man-hating posts full of bitterness and snark.

Z.H.P. IS a great game though, past me isn't wrong.

This is my first post so go easy on me guys!

The Senate Friday night voted 99-0 for an amendment that would bar federal subsidies for mega banks.

So in other words, they actually did something right! Yay bipartisanism!

This was my first post, yesterday, though I've been a member since 2011. Long time Lurker, for over 5 or 6 years at least. I made an account in 2011, constantly went on GAF but never posted. Eventually around a year ago I took a hiatus either with lost interest or more likely too busy with schoolwork. In the past few months I've gotten back into GAF and over a year later I finally posted yesterday, in PoliGaf!

I look forward to many more posts and actually interacting with some of the people I've crept on for the last six years or so.

I still never got the feed it pizza joke after half a decade on here, supposedly it has something to do with a dying cat?

DS game recommendation thread in June 2007.

I won't repeat the same games others have already mentioned, but after you check those out you might wanna try Trace Memories. It's an graphical adventure game with some really cool puzzles thrown in there and a not so hideous story. My sister got a kick out of it and I thought it was nice enough. Beware though it's short, like 6 hours short, though there's some replay value if you missed some of the optional puzzles. I wouldn't buy it full price, but if you can get it on the cheap I'd go for it, I think your gf might like it and so might you. Also Nintendogs of course, get the one with the Pug, my girlfriend loves that one.

It's cool that that girlfriend became my wife.

I hope that this update will remove the ridiculously huge bars around God of War 1 when I have it upscaled. Does anyone know why this could possibly be happening? Everyone keeps telling me to put it on fullscreen... I'm not dumb I have it on fullscreen. Now all we need are some more ps3 games because there still isnt anything to play.

Sadly nearly every game I own is in my gaming backlog. I cannot beat games because I usually buy a new one before I finish. No pictures because I am ashamed.

Welp I still dot he same shit these days.

I'm lazy there should be two ps3 controllers in there and some other stuff but I couldnt fit them in the picture.

Its been a good month. Total spent on this 29 dollars. Thank you mtv for your 200 dollars of gamestop gift cards and free ps3 muahahahahaha....

Damn I was balling out of control at some point.

Yeah, strange to see myself linked on GAF in positive context.

I read/lurked GAF for years, but didn't post because so many of the threads that mentioned me personally were negative ... and then decided to comment for the first time when someone said something nice.

gta san andreas PC thread, june 2005

Are you running it with the frame limiter on or off? If not, does it still have that problem of not being able to load the textures and stuff quick enough when going to a new region (Like Portland to Staunton Island in GTA3, etc.)? I always hated having to drive around with ultra-low res textures on the buildings and a purplish blue road for about 2 minutes while the textures caught up with the framerate.

My first post at GA, btw. Glad to be here. :)

so enthusiastic

Damn, that was kind of depressing.

I came off as a bit of a jerk in early 2007 when I first started posting here. Sorry everyone!

He was one of the best, most consistent and unique voices working in animation. He's going to be terribly missed. The DCAU would not have been the same without him.

Thank you Mr. McDuffie for your amazing work.
What actually got me to post after years of lurking was Dwayne McDuffie's death. :'(

The first response/quote I ever remembering getting though was someone saying they hated me because they thought I had called Frank Quitely a bad artist. And because I refuse to suck Grant Morrison's dick.

Was in a "Why I Stopped Playing ______" thread ....

Stopped playing Dragon Age: Origins.

Took me about 23 hours before I realized it was the worst game I've ever played.

I don't normally call games boring - in fact I honestly can't remember the last time I did - but goddamn that game is fucking boring.

And I hate the word "boring" to describe anything. Go figure.

MT your first post is awesome, it's like a prophecy. It foresaw the coming of both "fuck?" and PS3 has no games.

"I dont like change."

I regret not changing my user name years ago... oh well.

This was not my first post though, just on this board.
Ha, I was just looking at that thread. Damn there's a lot of people gone.

Here's my first post on this board (also not technically my first post) from June 7th, 2004:

First Gaming-Side post (July 2008): Was in a thread about a new DA:O trailer that had just been released, apparently I felt the trailer looked like Lair (Origins did have some awful trailers).

First Off-Topic post (also July 2008): In a "hot women" thread, I was talking about how cute I thought Emily Browning was.

Welp, I'm still a fan of DA:O and still think Emily Browning is cute.

Charming. Mine was in a thread about a plane crash.

God damn it, now I've read through 20 Firefox tabs each with a different air crash article.

From the Lockerbie bombing wiki:

When the cockpit broke off, tornado-force winds tore through the fuselage, tearing clothes off passengers and turning insecurely-fixed items like food and drink trolleys into lethal objects. Because of the sudden change in air pressure, the gases inside the passengers' bodies would have expanded to four times their normal volume, causing their lungs to swell and then collapse. People and objects not fixed down would have been blown out of the aircraft into the −46 °C (−50.8 °F) outside air, their 31,000-foot (9,400 m) fall lasting about two minutes. Some passengers remained attached to the fuselage by their seat belts, crashing in Lockerbie strapped to their seats. Although the passengers would have lost consciousness through lack of oxygen, forensic examiners believe some of them might have regained consciousness as they fell toward oxygen-rich lower altitudes.

Fuck. Imagine waking up strapped to a falling chair :(

Lots of recommendations for Shatter here, which I did enjoy.

But I'd also recommend Magic Orbz (recently renamed, used to be Magic Ball). It gives you the Breakout/Arkanoid gameplay with a mellower vibe, a nice assortment of powerups, and it looks really nice in 1080p. I really enjoyed it.

Someone wanted PSN game recommendations...

Little Buddha's First Words:
I don't think people consider Google in part because Google isn't known for their hardware. What little hardware releases they have had in the past haven't exactly lit the world on fire or anything, either. They don't really understand how to sell physical things to people.
Apple could do it because Apple knows how to sell hardware better than anybody else... which is essential for a gaming system. If Apple ever took seriously the idea of releasing a full fledged iOS media center device for the living room, you can bet that MS and Sony would be terrified (I'm not sure Nintendo would care much). But Google? No one would care. History suggests the Big 3 have no reason to fear Google.

Ok ok ok, this is my third post, but I found it the most entertaining (from 2004):

In a thread about how Half-Life 2 has over 2 million pre-orders in 2004--

DaBuddaDa said:
I've always been worried that Steam might not be able to handle the massive amount of connections on release day.

I'm hoping another pre-load won't be required, and all Steam does on the 16th is somehow 'unlock' the game.

Oh how far we've come...

Edit: wow, I was really cheery and excitable way back when. What happened to me :(

My first post was on the Halo Reach Reveal Thread - Matchmaking/Multiplayer Details Revealed.

Hello, all.

Got my activation email today! Been reading this forums for a while now and I'm looking forward to be a member of HaloGaf.

As for the recent Reach news, I really hope there's Hitscan on Multiplayer.. Having lived on Europe for some years I know how terrifying the bullet lag can be when playing against American hosts.

When I was younger, our family had white rice with plain yogurt as a means of "dessert" I suppose in southern Indian cuisine. I had this type of rice and yogurt topped off with crushed nacho cheese Doritos chips. My parents and all of my classmates thought this was weird but I loved it. (Still do this sometimes, but not as often.) For the longest time people thought I was weird about it!

They still think that. (They're missing out though!)

(It was in bizarre food habits thread)

My first post was about FFXI.
Oh I really enjoyed FFXI while I played it in the beginning (TaruTaru named Spoony job Bard/whm Slyph server) and I really enjoyed the friends I had. However eventually I got tired of the dependence on higher level characters to get stuff done at my level, like keys, AF, Rank, etc...I hated to have to be on other people's schedule for this stuff, and then have a someone say, "Hey you don't have x item yet???". That and I have a busy schedule sometimes I can only sit down for an hour or so, needless to say this didn't go over well with the party-a-thons. And soloing was just painful. When I saw this campaign I was excited to go back to Vana'diel, but in the end the lack of solo flexibility/dependence on higher level chars just keep me from trying. I'd rather let my memories remain fond, instead of remembering why I quit in the first place.

sad thing is I actually did go back to FFXI about a year or so ago. I should've read this post back then.

The name of the movie wasn't that good from a marketing standpoint, it didn't really reach out and grab you.

When talking about Chronicles of Riddick. I STAND BY MY STATEMENT!

Of course, this was from this version of GAF, I had many, many older posts on the other boards.

This is mine about a MW2 single player trailer in 2009:

Space mission? I dunno if I would like something like that.

I dunno about anyone else but to me this trailer has me really second guessing this game. I mean I'm still looking forward to the multiplayer, but before this trailer I was equally excited, if not more excited about the single player.

The trailer seemed a little too Summer Blockbuster Movie. Don't get me wrong I have faith that the game will be awesome, but I am a little scared that MW2 will be like Transformers.

BTW. How many hours do you think this campaign will be?
