I'm hearing around 2 million starting. And I think there are incentives and non-guaranteed stuff too.Black Mamba said:Corey Brewer to the Mavs! Go Branduil!
So, it's a multi-year deal? Anyone know the terms?
SamuraiX- said:This Corey Brewer pick up makes no sense to me from the Mavs perspective.
They're already stacked at the SG/SF position.
What they really need is a legit backup PF for Dirk.
That's Jonny Flynn. Brewer will be a good role player for a contender if they are just asking him to play defense. I think the way Rambis used him (and everybody really) hurt.Raging Spaniard said:These are highly positive and bizarre opinions from Rodeo, he has depicted Brewer several times as someone who should get shot if he ever grabs a basketball again

He can do BOTH.SamuraiX- said:I would think you would want Marion available to guard some of the conference's skilled wing players rather than putting him in the post.

Will trade you vince back for play off tickets. Just 2. To the first game.Red Blaster said:Don't get how you can say the trade was a wash. The only valid point you raise is the loss of Gortat. J-Rich gets fewer easy baskets because he doesn't have one of the best point guards ever dishing him the ball anymore. Getting rid of Roidshard has given Anderson and Bass room to flourish who are both far superior players than him at this point. Pre-trade, the team was getting absolutely no fastbreak buckets. Gilbert's has been historically terrible with his shooting but he at least runs and still sets guys up pretty well. Pietrus was literally doing nothing else but taking threes, he was going to the line like .3 times a game; the lowest in the league. Moreover, the chemistry on the pre-trade team was absolutely shot, nobody on the team liked Vince anymore.
Oh come on he isn't that worthless.. we could ship him to miami for at least two front row seats and some popcorn. Its not like they have fans actually filling up those seats anyway..giri said:Will trade you vince back for play off tickets. Just 2. To the first game.
Nate Robinson is a better shooter.Sho_Nuff82 said:Is "Nate Robinson-esque" too long for a description?
popcorn? look, you're just not getting something with inherit value back. Popcorn would be nice, but dont expect it when you all you're offering is vince.Pkaz01 said:Oh come on he isn't that worthless.. we could ship him to miami for at least two front row seats and some popcorn. Dwight is so gone.reilo said:I looked up Gilbert's numbers since joining Orlando... urhhhh...
I'm sure they have a lot to spare since no one is there to buy the popcorn anyway. We get rid of vince and keep jared dudley happy. Its win win.giri said:popcorn? look, you're just not getting something with inherit value back. Popcorn would be nice, but dont expect it when you all you're offering is vince.
I always laugh a little inside when i see Dudley get more minutes.Pkaz01 said:I'm sure they have a lot to spare since no one is there to buy the popcorn anyway. We get rid of vince and keep jared dudley happy. Its win win.

I laugh when siler and childress come off the bench together at garbage time. Gentry gave earl clark more minutes than he has given to childress.giri said:I always laugh a little inside when i see Dudley get more minutes.

Serena Williams with blood clots... steroids anyone?
Most VALUABLE player. Heat are fine with out LBJ, they'd still win games. Mavs, Bulls, Magic rely so heavily on their star, that they wouldn't. I know there's many conditions to it, like winning records, and late game clutch performances, and doing it all season long. But it's still who is the most VALUABLE player, heat win with or with out LBJ 50 games this season.Gigglepoo said:I disagree. You can be the best player in the league no matter who your teammates are. I was on the LeBron for MVP bandwagon for most of the season, but I've jumped to the Rose side lately because of late-game performances. It has nothing to do with Wade or Boozer or whoever in my eyes, though. You shouldn't be punished (or rewarded) based on your teammates for what's essentially an individual reward.
MVP Race:
1) Rose
2) LeBron
3) Dwight

Apparently my feelings on Corey Brewer as a value signing aren't universal. A scout offered me a two-word take -- "he sucks"
It takes a special type of player to play with 2 all stars and somehow barely see a dent in his overall stats.charsace said:How is Lebron in the MVP race?
