Also, i know Grant has said that he's intrested in buying a team (He and shaq were talking about orlando, when they were here in phx), not out right like Jordon, but just a stake in one.

Lucky team, which ever one gets him, the guy is pure class. Hell, he may as well run for mayor of california, he'd probably dog a good job.

Wait, people like Bill Walton's commentary? It was terrible. Every game was just full of insane hyperbole.

Some scrub makes a layup..."oh, what we're seeing tonight is quite possibly the best performance by a bench player in the history of the NBA."

Team goes on a 7-0 run..."this could quite possibly be the most dominating performance we've ever seen."

DeShawn Stevenson scores 18..."I really can't recall ever seeing a player that can control a game so thoroughly like this young man is tonight."

He's way better than Hubie Brown.

I'm lucky the Bulls' announcers aren't bad as every national announcer I have heard is dreadful.

I actually like Chris Mullen, maybe not for games and maybe he's new to it all but he's not awful.

Bill Walton speaks his mind, Hubie Brown adds nothing that you didn't already know and he often agrees with calls like a robot.

I actually feel pretty good about the game against Miami. We have the length to bother them and clamp down as long as we keep them in a half-court game, and our offense hasn't suffered at all since Green and Krstic left despite predictions to the contrary. Hopefully Perk will help us bring that fearless road mentality that the Czzzz are (were) known for and we can get over the hump against a good squad. If our bench plays well, it'll be really tough for the Heat to keep up with us. It's time for Harden to step up in a game that counts, and I predict he will.

I would also love to see Perk get significant minutes guarding Bosh. Fake tough guy vs. real tough guy... FIGHT.

It's going to be a good game.

He even tries to defend bad calls after he makes an immediate reaction agreeing with it.

EX.

Someone sets up to take a charge and does so and gets called for blocking.

"That was a good call, he was in the restricted area."

-replay shows he was set and not in the restricted area-

"That was a good call, obvious blocking foul"

No, Grant Hill, mayor of cali.

I wouldn't let jordon organise a fund raiser, attend yes, organise no.
It's Jordan.

You cannot become a mayor of a state. That's called being a governor.

Anyhow...

Clippers owner Donald Sterling testified Tuesday about his past deep loyalty and trust for former executive Elgin Baylor despite an admission by the owner that he wasn't completely clear about the NBA legend he appointed vice president of player personnel in 1986.

"You didn't know about his basketball career?" Baylor attorney Carl Douglas asked Sterling in his first day on the stand as Baylor's wrongful termination civil lawsuit against the team continued at a Los Angeles courthouse. "His accomplishments? The Hall of Fame?"

"No," Sterling answered. "... I didn't know that. I hired him for $3,000 a month. I didn't really know what his role was.... He was working in a mail-order company back then."

...

When asked about a Baylor predecessor, Sterling said the name Carl Scheer "sounds familiar." He added, "I don't profess to know anything about basketball. I'm a professional lawyer."
Just confirming what everyone knew.

So many shitty games, holy moly.

I would vote for Grant Hill right now over Jerry Brown.

Also, Kevin Johnson is the mayor of Sacramento. Cali is like athlete politics heaven of late.

I miss Bill Walton commentary.

How do you not chuckle at a normal bad shot in the game and says something like " that was the worse shot selection in the history of the NBA "

Or when the C'z played Golden State. Biedrens committed a foul " bad foul for the Celtics, they want Biedrens on the floor as much as possible "

Those who participated in fewer than 2 weeks were discarded from these standings, but are still in the spreadsheet. The asterisk indicate when someone missed a week.

I think Jalen accounted for himself pretty well with Skip. The phrase itself may have been a mistake but I understand his point.

Yeah, I stopped playing because I missed some weeks. I'd rather do every week next year than have an asterisk season.

Ouch, I had a rough February.

Admittedly I'm not putting as much thought into the pickems as I was previously because now I'm busy and barely have enough time to get my picks in... Still, I'll battle back!

While the Sacramento Kings ponder a move to Anaheim, they may already be laying the groundwork for a name change.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office received an application on March 3 by a Nevada corporation seeking exclusive rights to use the name "Los Angeles Royals."

Another application filed the same day reserves the name "Anaheim Royals." The city of Anaheim, which owns the Honda Center, has reportedly insisted that any team playing there carry the city's name.

...

The trademark applications were filed on behalf of Crickets Corp., a Nevada corporation represented by Sacramento attorney Scott Hervey. Hervey specializes in intellectual property issues and also represents the Maloof family, owners of the Sacramento Kings and the Palms Casino in Las Vegas.
I'm sorry, Sacramento.

NBA needs to realign the NW division. Portland travels the most miles by far every year. If the Kings move, I liked to see the Pacific, Mountain, and Southwest division again.

Is The Association: Boston Celtics episode coming up new or a repeat? Hope it is new, want to see footage of the Perkins trade aftermath in the locker room.

EDIT: It's new, sweet.

It's the doomsday episode. They were filming when Perk found out about the trade. :(

The league does need some realignment. I'd do it like this:

Western Conference
Pacific
Lakers
Clippers
Anaheim
Golden State
Portland

Midwest
Minnesota
Milwaukee
Utah
Denver
Memphis

Southwest
Phoenix
San Antonio
Houston
Dallas
Oklahoma City

Eastern Conference
Southeast
New Orleans
Miami
Orlando
Charlotte
Atlanta

Central
Indiana
Detroit
Toronto
Cleveland
Chicago

Atlantic
Washington
Boston
New York
New Jersey
Philadelphia
