Aksys bringing Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei (3DS) to NA in Spring 2016

should I be worried about Aksys?

Their 2016 slate has all been a wash so far. This sure as heck ain't moving too many copies, and I'm pretty sure that Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault didn't exactly set the world on fire either (although I do rather like it). They've got the Vita exclusive version of the never-popular Shiren the Wanderer on the horizon.

To be clear, I'm buying the crap out of Zero Time Dilemma, but I really hope that these sort of lower profile pickups they're doing along with the practically invisible pushes for them don't portend to anything bad about their current health as a company.

They have GG Xrd Revelator right? im waiting to see if some LE gets announced before preordering.

Have 3 versions of ZE3 preordered. Will get 2 copies of shiren on vita for sure. Not interested in Aegis of earth. I was gonna get Langrisser but it seems to be universally panned so ill wait for a sale probably
unless the first print edition tempts me

I think it's just a symptom of there being more niche publishers with few niche games to pick from, really--Aksys has to compete with the likes of Atlus, NISA, XSEED, etc who all get first dibs at pretty much everything and only leave the truly budget games or games that are harder to market for whatever reason.

(Then again, Aksys should theoretically have free access to all those 3DS Kunio-kun games and they're not localising any of them. WTF?)

It could also be that Aksys signed a larger deal to re-release the older Langrisser games and putting out the new game for 3DS was a condition of that deal, who knows.

Thing is that also, Aksys have FAR better 3DS games to choose from. Most specifically; Kenka Bancho 6 by Spike Chunsoft, who they already work with on Zero Escape.

I'm on it.

Game still looks real bad BTW.

aksys has more higher-profile stuff coming. i wouldn't be concerned.

It looks bad, but does it play bad.

I was at least intrigued by Moco Moco Friends which came out last Fall. This I'm just in awe of some of these gifs I've seen

Oh god, I don't know much about this series but I can tell a bad game from a good one. Looks like a Fire Emblem knock-off. Heck, even Mind 0 looked better, and it's more or less a Persona knock-off. Why not localize another otome game instead? They released two games in 2015 so clearly they've dived deep enough into that genre to localize more.

Yeah I read that review

I can handle bad graphics but just downright awful decisions with gameplay there is no way I could ever play it. Not even on the cheap which was what I was considering if it ever got to the bomba bin somewhere.
