He was the man of the house quite literally. Interesting how there was no hint of it at all and he seemed pretty well adjusted upon first appearance.

Exactly. This development seems to come out of nowhere. It was never indicated prior to this episode that he may have that sort of issues.

When she said his body was different, a flag went off but then I was like "Well, maybe his body language." Then the shower scene happened and I was like, "Okay, that's odd, but she didn't have any lustful look in her eyes." And then when she visited him in bed, I should have known, but I couldn't help but cringe and feel completely helpless for him. Ugh.

Yeah the whole, "nobody makes you feel good like me" scene was disturbing. There was another red flag though when she said she knew she was possessive and took things too far. At that point I kinda assumed what was going on.

Remember in the flashback when Fiona was younger the previous supreme said it wasn't uncommon for blossoming witches to develop 3 or 4 special gifts but to be a supreme she had to do all 7 wonders. I wonder if Madison was just developing some gifts but Nan or someone else is the real supreme and Fiona wrongly assumed. I found it odd how Nan could out seduce the supposed supreme.

I don't think Nan was seducing anyone. I think that he was drawn to her genuine demeanor vs. Madison essentially slinging it at him. That boy and his mother are going to be trouble.

"Your body looks like someone else's!" said nice concerned mother

"Wait, how does his mom know what his body looks like naked?" asked Ratsky innocently

Two seconds later...

"Wait what the fuck?!?!"

Good lord this episode was...something else. It had everything you could want from an episode of American Horror Story:

Incestuous rape scene? Check!

Goat blood smeared inside vagina? Check!

Masturbating in front of a minotaur (if only she had been crying - we were this close to getting a sequel to the crysturbate scene from Murder House!) while also simultaneously psychically masturbating said minotaur in the attempt to prod it into having sex with you? Check!

Lange deliciously langing? Check!

That scene with Kathy Bates watching TV is a classic.

LIESSSSSSSSSSS

yaaaassss hiss moar Kathy Bates!!

Jesus, the Zoe plot is going to drag the whole f'n show down. Why can't she be the one that gets killed off?

Seriously. Taissa Farmiga is a horrible actress and she just sucks all the life out of the show every time she's on screen.

If anyone besides Madison would end up being the Supreme, it would probably be Zoe because you just know they'd make her the chosen one because hardly anyone likes her.

They really went overboard with the "La La LA LA La La" shit this week. God. I think they're trying to recreate the “Dominique” theme from Asylum, but it really isn't working. It's more annoying than atmospheric.

They also really overused the wide angle lens this ep. They were using it so much in the school/house that I thought we were seeing things from the POV of some unseen party.

It would be cool if the religious neighbor woman had some sort of power or barrier against the witches. Hopefully she's not just another "lol religious people" punching bag from Ryan Murphy.

Just before that though, they actually show her molesting him. T_T

The use of various camera lenses doesn't bother me, but this last episode definitely stood out as overkill.

And again, Lange destroys everyone with her chops. Although, I do have to say I loved Kathy's "liiiies" response to Lange's "poet laureate" line. Plus, Queenie and Kathy's interactions are always hilarious. I find Nan so adorable in whatever scene she's in. Plus, I have a new gif :)

Just finished watching the latest episode. Holy shit things got stupid, and the ridiculousness got swiftly amped-up to asinine levels. Is this how season 2 was?

Regardless, I'm still gonna keep watching cause the show's still extremely entertaining.
Also because Evan Peters.

I really hope Evan Peters remains a hot brainless Frankenstein for the rest of the season.

Yeah, it's been thoroughly fun so far.

Kathy Bates bursting into tears upon seeing President Obama on TV has to be one of the best scenes in anything ever. Someone better win an Emmy for that, maybe Obama?

LIIIIIIEEEEEESSSSSS

I was cracking up at that bit, but my god was this a dark episode
I was half expecting Fiona to just suck the life out of Madison and not have it end up with her slitting throat again. But yeh there is no chance Madison would be the next supreme, it's bound to be Zoe.

I feel so bad for Queenie. I was like gworl noooo all the way through her bit. I hope they just skip to her being fucked up and dont actually show what happened because that could be too much

We also saw a tease of Nan's mind control powers with the angelic boy next door. I'm going to call it early but he'll end up dead and mumma christian will bring the wrath of her bible group down on that house

Just watched AHS for the first time last night. I loved it. So crazy.

Questions for you guys though:

1. The lady trying to become pregnant (her name). How does she relate to the Coven and Fiona? This episode didn't really tie them together for me.

2. Also, they said it was Fiona that went in to the voodoo house and caused trouble right? I'm assuming a clan rivalry.

3. Is this show on Netflix or Hulu so I can catch up? Or are there rerun days for previous episodes?

Sorry for all the questions and I appreciate all the answers in advance!

1. Her name is Cordelia. She is the headmaster at the school the young witches attend. She is Fiona's daughter. She hates Fiona though and wishes her dead. Fiona sort of barged in unexpectedly and started taking over the coven.

2. The women uses voodoo and there's been a rivalry between them for centuries. Fiona visited the women to get the potion that made the voodoo witch and kathy bated character immortal. The voodoo witch denied her and fiona insulted her and set some of her stuff on fire.

3. They typically re air the other episodes of the season after the new one premieres. They usually have AHS running until like 3 am the night that a new ahs premieres.

Is this show really scary? Like, how would you rate the 3 seasons compared to say a horror flick?

Non of them are really scary at all. You may have a few jump scares and the tension may ratchet up, but they're not really scary. In terms of scariness I suppose you could put them in this order: Asylum, Murder House, Coven.

Most to least, but that could change. Or be viewed differently depending on who you're talking to and why they see things the way they do.

Also, I seriously, seriously doubt that Nan used any power on the neighbor aside from reading his thoughts to make the perfect cake. He was being nice because she was nice and genuine. He rebuffed Madison because she was slinging it at him. He is STILL a product of his mother despite how hot Madison looked and how hard she came on to him.

We're officially back in AHS crazy territory, and I like it!

A new interview with Ryan Murphy is now online too.

Some choice quotes. I'm avoiding spoilers.

I was thinking Sarah Paulson has had it so easy this season compared to Asylum. But then she had goat’s blood dripped into her vagina. Was that a crazy day on set?

It was crazy. I think Angela really loved that scene. And Sarah I can’t say she enjoyed it but she gave it her all. Her story really ramps up in episode 4. Big plot point.

What can you say about next week’s episode?

Episode 4 is called “Fearful Pranks Ensue.” Kathy Bates is very confused about Halloween and when she finds out it’s Halloween she wants to
go out and burn a bonfire in the front yard to keep the evil spirits away.
....
It’s a very gripping two-parter.

Cordelia has a horrible, horrible event that may be one of the hardest things Sarah Paulson has ever shot, which is saying something on this show. It’s plucked from the headlines!

Obama scene was good.

Saw the incest coming from a mile away.

Madison.. what a waste. She's soooooo much better than Zoe.

Sister Mary Eunice/Misty/Lily Rabe is great.

Fat Precious bestiality = do not want, ever.

Fiona/Jessica Lange great as always.

Still enjoy Asylum more at this point, but it's good.

So many story threads being opened up, I can't wait for them to explore them some more.

Do we think Nan was using some sort of mind power to keep Luke from being interested in Madison, or that it's just a symptom of his extremely sheltered upbringing?

I really look forward to seeing where the show goes with the new family that moved in, could make for some really great TV.

My heart dropped when Madison got killed though.

I thought Alexandra Breckenridge was supposed to be back this season, she was seriously hot in the first

This is the only thing I could find from a recent interview with her for some no-name publication.

That's literally all we have.

I've read unconfirmed reports that her character is named Kaylee and will be appearing next episode.

This. This is why I love this show!

Masturbating for a Minotaur so you can magically get him off and maybe make him want to fuck you? check

Mare Winningham as a chunky burn out who loves her son's cock? check

Voodoo queen Angela Basset playing iPad solitaire??? check

Ah, I could go on and on. So many great, fucked up moments.

Oh, and Misty? Obsessed. Totally obsessed.

Absolutely. It was genius.
And probably isn't too far from the truth from some people seeing a black men win the presidency.

I enjoyed last night. I agree that this season isn't as creepy as the previous ones. I'm still enjoying the show a bunch though. The whole beastiality thing was a little out of left field. Lol. I called Madison dying as soon as she lit up Fionna's cig.

Ha, yes! Incredible scene. I thought about that this morning-- that it's probably not too far from some actual people's reactions to his presidency.

Maybe I'm just too big of a fanboy of the first season but I like the Zoe/Kyle thing.

I honestly thought that was what Fiona had wanted all along so for me the surprise was her revealing anything at all to Madison and sorta-kinda wanting to be killed by her.

apparently, the ratings for last nights episode were CRAZY!

who else thinks season 4 will be ZOMBIES?! :-O

also, I don't think Madison's dead. I think she can probably resurrect herself, or something...

the Neighbour was gay anyway.

that's what I figured. He's prob. gonna try it on with Frankenkyle and end up dead, which is what will spur Joan Ramsey to REALLY go after the coven...
