Maybe they should just take existing DLC concepts and from now on, tie them all to a physical figurine purchase.

I know even Skylanders is paper thin in its execution, but it still makes buying a physical figure that much more substantiated when it's the only way to receive that content.

Hard to say. For me it all comes down to what happens(if anything) when you scan a Smash Bros figure into Mario Kart/Captain Toad. If you can unlock/download additional characters/vehicles/enemies/levels from other franchises ...then I'll buy a bunch of figures. If it's just going to be more stat saving/training on figures tied to a specific game.... then I've no interest.

maybe.. but then still i will have pretty high quality nintendo figurines (which represent some of my most favorite characters)

What I want:

• Super Smash: More features, not just the FP.
• Mario Kart 8: Use your figurine as a driver, or: more car parts, courses
• Mario Party: Playable Characters
• Toad TT: Playable Character, additional Maps/Stages
• Mario Maker: Playable Character, additional elements
• Support for every figurine in every game that supports amiibos
• A game dedicated to amiibo (see: Skylanders)
• More information about future integration, asap

What I will probably get:

• Super Smash: FP only
• Mario Kart 8: Only figurines representing an actual driver can be used: Saving your best times with this character on the amiibo
• Mario Party: Only figurines representing usable characters in the actual game can be used: Saving your highscores with that character
• Toad TT: Only Toad and Toadette usable
• Mario Maker: No amiibo integration
• Most Smash characters will probably be useless outside of Smash
• No game dedicated to amiibo
• No further information before wave #1 hits the stores

I really want amiibos to suceed, but I don't expect them to. I'm afraid that we all will get disappointed.

When first announced, I wanted to get them all. As of now, I will get Kirby and Toad&Toadette (if released).

I haven't read the whole thread, nor do I give much of a crap about Amiibos, but I have an issue with the OP.

I'm a sucker for collectible items, and dare I say I will be buying all if not most the available Amiibo figurines!

What's the point of spending all that money to collect them all, and then leaving only a single one out? How could you possibly hate Wii Fit Trainer that much?
