Edit: Wrong thread
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004D3TUG0/ would this do? I did buy some more in town but it was super cheap stuff as I don't really have a specialist near me. I have reconnected the heatsink and fan properly though and my temps are in the mid 60s, watching them while playing. I didn't need to reapply in the end because it still looked relatively moist but I'd like to replace it with some higher quality stuff anyway.Have you put new thermal paste as well ? You mentioned the old one as being dried out. 90° alcohol + tissue to wipe the CPU clean then a pea of high quality thermal paste, let the heatsink's weight spread the paste. Then screw your CPU in a cross fashion to avoid putting more pressure on one part of the CPU.

Very good choice, don't cheap out on the thermal paste. Make sure you really clean your CPU well with 90°C alcohol and soft tissue, go easy and it'll be fine.
What's your CPU cooler ?
Thank you so much guys! Ordered it it's arriving tomorrow. CPU seems fine for now, it never gets higher than 65 degrees but I'm still going to reapply paste tomorrow. Also, it's just a stock cooler that came with the thing, but it seems fine for the most part."ARCTIC MX-2" is fantastic. I can only recommend that stuff!

Anyone get SLI working properly?
Can't believe after this much-hyped "update", they still don't have SLI working!
SLI support is coming in a future update.
I sure hope so. Do you have a link for that, brother?
Meanwhile, Warner said it was continuing to work on improving the game for future updates. Here's what's coming next:
Adding support for SLI and Crossfire.

But I wouldn't expect SLI to work reliably still.
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this yet but I'm fairly certain that Vsync in this game is Double Buffered Vsync. Turn that off, try using Windowed (No Border) along with RTSS to cap the framerate, this produces the smoothest performance as long as your setup can maintain the framerate. What is this game even

I feel like the game starts hitching a bit more the longer you play. Not a big deal, but I've been quitting after every hour and a bit or so because then the hitching starts again (and it's not GPU or CPU temps/usage, they're fine).
When I played through it on PS4 earlier this year sometimes the engine would just hitch like that, I think it's just an Unreal 3 thing.Memory leak perhaps. It does not seem to happen on my end (played for 2 hours with very little hitching). However, each time I enter the Panessa studios the game "pauses" for less than one second.
Game installed on my Samsung 840 Evo, 16gb of RAM (upgraded from 8 recently). No idea what's causing it, maybe the UE3 can't handle so much at 60fps.

I just have textures on normal and I don't really get hitching at all anymore, except after long sessions. I'm still a bit hesitant to OC my 970 atm because of temps, as I don't want to expose the CPU to even more heat until I've changed the thermal paste. If you haven't OC'd your 970, you should. It removed the few hitches I had. Even with High textures + Rain (no other gameworks).
Looks like GMG finally deactivated my key. Glad to have this turd removed from my library. Served as a great reminder every time I saw a game pop up on preorder that I thought I might want, though. "Hey, you wanna have this shit happen again? Go ahead and give that pub the money upfront. I'm sure they'll do a /great job/"
Haven't bought a single AAA game since this mess. It's amazing what removing yourself from the hype cycle entirely does to your perspective on a game. Suddenly that amazing game that you had to have "day1 omg" suddenly looses its luster when you add a little bit of time to the equation.

You get a message pop-up on Steam that you can't close until you check the box saying that you read it.How do you guys know the key got deactivated? Never had that happen on steam.
Same. There's some kind of memory leak. After a few hours it's almost as bad as before the patch.I just have textures on normal and I don't really get hitching at all anymore, except after long sessions. Mine got deactivated as well. What's taking them so long? I'd like to buy it again when GOTY edition comes out.
WB had to get the list of keys from the sellers and then forward them to Valve, WB probably hasn't bothered until recently since they're probably getting close to the point of putting the game back up for sale.
My season pass is still active but maybe it's because of how late I refunded it. *shrug*

Posting this link because it fixes a bug a few of us had that was quite maddening where any quickfire gadgets would cause the game to stutter, no matter the settings.
Poster found the culprit, one of the achievements is buggy, and it tries to trigger everytime you fire a gadget, cauasing the stutter it appears. Deleting the line causes it to stop attemping to do it. Loaded up the game and it's finally not doing it anymore.
Wish the culprit had been found a while ago while I was still actively playing.

Do we know when the release ready patch is coming? I've been holding out to play this for a loong time
.PC Update, October 1st
OCTOBER 1 - YORICK
As many of you know, we released a major patch for Batman: Arkham Knight PC a few weeks ago. While there were significant performance improvements made to the game, the teams are continuing to work on the additional updates that were outlined in our previous post. We expect these updates to be ready at the end of October, at which time the PC version will be made available for purchase. In addition, support for all DLC that has been released for the console versions will be in place.
Thanks again for your continued patience and support. Well be sure to update everyone as soon as the update is live.
- Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
It's been on sale digitally on PSN (not sure about XBL) so I highly doubt it will launch at $60. I think $40~ is a safe bet, and I don't think they'll discount the season pass either. Maybe $5 off.If this doesnt come out (again) with a big sale (at least 50%) or at a reduced price or something, they fucked up...again
Are people still going to have to buy the DLC
I tried playing this to see how it is these days on my 980 SLI setup and the game still seems like a mess. at 1080p it runs fine except even with v-sync on I still get tearing and an unstable image. Also the AA sucks at 1080p with all settings on highest.
At 1600p or higher the game runs like shit and testing between single 980 and SLI enable dual 980s the performance seems identical. Does the game even use SLI?
Thinking about just getting the PS4 version when it's on sale this Black Friday and playing it there. Even if I cap it at 30fps on PC I still get tearing and drops and it's just not stable which is super annoying.
