I'm so confused, I don't know what to believe. The assistant at the cinema told me to keep an eye out nearer the time (this was on the day tickets went on sale) but the website still says 7:30pm and I can't recall BBC confirming any other time but some people, yourself included, have stated different times.

wat do

It's 7.50

From BBC Ones schedule

I'm looking forward to watching An Adventure in Space and Time tonight. UK GAF, was it good?

I'm not UK GAF but I saw it anyway. It was a masterpiece. One of the finest pieces of television I have ever seen. If anything, it wasn't long enough. My only complaint was that they didn't really focus on how Sydney Newman came up with the concept.

Well for me, it's 7:30 PM for the CINEMA showing on the 25th, and 7:50 PM GMT for TV for tomorrow.

Ok guys, just got back from the 50th Celebrations and am currently uploadig my pictures of everything I got and saw.

I also managed to record the Regenerations Talk with Nick Briggs, Peter Davidson, Sylvestor McCoy and Colin Baker and The Eleventh Hour Talk with Matt Smith, Jenna Coleman, Steve Moffatt and Marcus Wilson.

Would you like me to upload them to YouTube for you guys to watch?

Their good quality and filmed in Landscape, with good audio.

Awesome, I'll get them up tonight!

Might take me an hour or so, as I need to grab them from the phone and upload them, but there awesome.

I'm currently in the middle of writing a detailed post with pictures from it all :)

No, I wouldn't.

OF COURSE WE WANT TO WATCH THEM.

Actually I was curious about that too-I had that question when he first presents the concept, and I thought they would show the screenwriter.

What were the differences between the original pilot and the re-shot pilot? Because they made it sound like it was drastic, but it didn't sound too different from what I saw.

Also one of the most heartbreaking moments is when
William tells Verity that he can't do the show without her-thanking her for being his "rock", and then she has to tell him she's leaving the show. That montage of the cast shots changing, with Hartnell there looking increasingly more and more dejected. I love how he flipped on the switch himself.

I had a lot of respect for Hartnell's dedication to the show-his insitenence of knowing what every knob and lever on the console did-because he knew that kids would be smart enough to catch it, even when adults wouldn't.

Ok, so we left at about 6am and got there for 9.

This greeted us as we walked in and collected our Lanyard and pass.

Lanyard:

This was also a nice wall art type cover:

This was the crowd we were with, one of the stewards told us it was around 5,000 people there today.

This is the show planner we got given:

And here it is opened up:

We watched the SFX Show first, which lasted for 45 minutes or so and had questions and answers, but I didnt film it due to the seats we sat in, but the other Shows we were in tiered seats, so it was easier to film.

These were where we sat for the SFX Show:

We came out of the SFX show and went to the stores set up and I bought this absolutely glorious watch to go with my TARDIS watch, and also bought this Pin badge.

They also had a 1 penny coin machine so I got this made!

If you spent over £25 you got a free bag of merchandise which was actually good!

Bag:

Free Merchandise:

This was the entrance to the shop area:

And a standing TARDIS to take photos with:

We then queued for 1 hour and 45 minutes to get our picture taken with the Original Series 5 Console Room.

This is the front entrance we walked through:

I'm toying with the idea of putting the photo up of me and my friend in the TARDIS as I dont want our face's on the net, so I might blur them, lol

These are some random photos taken during the day:

Some people were officials wandering around in full outfits.

This was the seating area for how they made the original music in the show

Some holograms on the wall:

A Dalek and the Radio Times:

Paul McGann poster stand near the Big Finish Stand:

Random Photo:

We also bought the Official Program:

All in all, it was a fantastic day, with so many like minded people talking about Doctor Who.
Everyone was friendly, happy to be there and enjoying themselves.
Some of the cosplay as well was utterly amazing.

I'll post the videos of the two shows in a bit when I have them done, stay tuned!

(If there's anything in this post and photos that I need to delete then let me know!)

Awesome write up! Super jealous that I couldn't go.
How was the general atmosphere? And was there a good age range of people? I remember that being a big thing people pointed out from the convention last year. It always warms my heart when conventions are full of kids and teens rather than typical middle age fans.

The atmosphere was amazing, everyone was talking to everyone, no matter if you knew them or not.
Loads of adults, children, just all having a good time.
There was a lot of queues and long waits but no one was complaining, it was just amazing to be there and soak it all in.
Some of the kids dressed as the Doctors as well were awesomely done.

The most popular item of clothing seemed to be the Fez and the Scarf.

Fuzzy

I would bang a hot farmer!
It's great to hear An Adventure in Space and Time is so good.

Thanks for all those pics. Looks like it was fun.

I got a bit of a chuckle out of the Big Finish banner there using the "friends, companions I've known" line. I wonder if anyone there knew McGann was doing the webisode, or if it was a pleasant surprise for them as well? Seems like they know to jump on it, in any event.

Thanks for the pictures!

That sounds amazing, thanks for the info.
Super pumped to head to the cinema tomorrow now. There is something about being a fan of Doctor Who and knowing other people are as well that's almost...calming. It's weird.

Nicholas Briggs knew, so maybe he told a few people.

Just watched that History of Doctor Who show on BBC 2, pretty interesting.

Caitlin Moran saying she doesn't think civil partnerships and gay marriage would have happened so fast without RTD and Jack Harkness kissing Doc9.

David Tennant and Matt Smith are on Graham Norton in 5 mins on BBC 1 apparently.

Watching The God Complex now. This episode did a really good job of making me think Rita might've joined the Doctor.

Lol I think I remember the GAF thread as that episode was happening, or maybe it was another forum, but everyone kept saying, "Oh, guess Rita's in the running for new companion. I like her. She has a different religion, she's sassy, she's a nurse which holds up similar parallels with the Doctor kinda like Rory. Could be a cool companion!"

"NO SHE'S DEAD!"

Also watched those Doctor Who revisted specials earlier. Colin Baker is the worst ever

Think if I ever re-watched classic Who I'd completely ignore 6 & 7

Can someone record this and post it on youtube please?

Six is redeemed by Big Finish. He remains a bit of an asshole throughout, but when he starts travelling with Evelyn (probably the best of the BF companions) he mellows out and develops a modicum of compassion. I must admit however I do really enjoy when he talks down to Peri, even though I love Peri.
