Quick question about last season: When did River first meet Amy Pond? During the Byzantium? The reason I ask is I thought Pandorica happened before the Byzantium events, yet River seemed to know Amy perfectly well.

I'm guessing we haven't seen the first time River meets her yet. It could very well be the first time she meets the Doctor as well.

Well, River knows that their next meeting is important, which means that she's already met them before the events of The Pandorica Opens.

Don't forget we are seeing River story backways. The last time we see her will be when she first meets The Doctor, as the first time we saw her was her last meeting. She knew Amy as she met her countless times before, although from our view of the timeline (and the timeline of Amy and The Doctor), it was their first meeting. Every time River meats The Doctor she knows what happen in all the meetings The Doctor himself has not taken part in yet and The Doctor know what happens in the ones she yet knows nothing about (aka the one's we've seen on the show)... We do know that this isn't exactly how it will line up going forward.

There is at least one meeting in her future that we haven't seen yet and know hasn't happened yet since some future version of the Doctor has to give her a sonic before she goes to the Library.

Though I doubt we'll ever actually see that meeting. So from the viewers perspective it'll probably be similar to how you've described.

Hat. Hope it's not a regular thing.

I think they may just be going a bit overboard, but I've been wrong on this before.

I'd love to see this scene one day. Would be such a bitter sweat ending to River's story.

Considering she has met so many doctors, it would be weird if it where the 11th that said goodbye, especially since the screwdriver the future doctor gave her is more advance than the one 11 has right now. That would just seem too convenient. But if moffat does decide to write it while he is in charge, it would mean the doctor (and presumably smith) gets a new haircut and suit, if rivers own last words are to go by. Since we all know the Doctor's hair is a conduit to his charm, powers, and smarts, i cant see them cutting the 11th doctors hair.

So what's the word on Sherlock series 2? Normally this would be OT but seeing as these two series are handled by Moffat....

I always thought it would be awesome if they made a Doctor Who episode where he travels to present-day London and runs into Sherlock Holmes and Watson. That would be so baller.

Last I heard there were 3 more 90 minutes episodes in production for autumn this year, I've been keeping an eye on it to make sure there is a thread again this year!

CANADA GAF

Select stories of the classic series are on sale at HMV for $12.99 each or 2 for $20. Great deal considering the regular price they usually sell for.

I recommend:

Tomb of the Cybermen - Second Doctor
Spearhead from Space - Third Doctor
Talons of Weng-Chaing - Fourth Doctor
Caves of Adrozanni - Fifth Doctor

$40 of awesome.

I only picked up Seeds of Death and Ressurection of the Daleks though. Trying to save some cash and these are the only two I haven't seen.

Excited for the small bit of New Who tonight... as long as I can power thorough some shit pop music, James Corden, and a scrapton of other annoyances.

edit - Take That, JLS and Adele, Andy Murray, Ruby Wax, Claudia Winkleman, Miranda Hart and fucking MasterChef.

ALL THAT TO GET A FEW MINUTES OF DOCTOR WHO, MY GOD

Currently planning how to edit my avatar for the next rotation. Think I am finally going to get ole Phoney Bone here into a Doctor getup. Just gotta find the time to make it.

That was fantastic. Their comedic timing is gold.

As an aside, I like how Rory finally felt like he wasn't just tagging along for the ride.

Claimed. Thank you, good sir.

Really enjoyed the short. Especially the jokes towards Pond. :) Get's me all in the mood for Easter, and also makes feel bad as I still haven't watched the Christmas special. I will get on it.
