Does it make sense to purchase all multiplatform games on PS5 Pro even if you have the other consoles?

For multiplatform games will you buy them on PS5 Pro, XsX or Nintendo Switch?

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Switch hasn't been a consideration for a loooong time. I got burned too many times where I bought a third party game, had it run like shit on the Switch, and then it came out on the PS5 like a year later.

Some games I'm interested in are better on the Series X than on the PS5 (mostly BC stuff from last gen), but there are very few.

But with the Pro coming out? The other consoles are even more irrelevant to me. Except for Ninty stuff on Switch, obviously.

Steam. Always steam.

The only time I could see getting a game on any other platform is if/when my friends have a different platform and we want to play multiplayer. Otherwise, I am buying a Pro to play games on it.

yes and I'm sure it will be a very uncomfortable choice with something like the next Doom and all must-play gamepass releases in general. Despite getting those on the subscription I think I'll be double dipping if the performance gain is worth it. Imagine Microsoft gimping those games for parity, whichever way they go here it will be a shitstorm. I'm staying on gamepass regardless for "free" AAs and indies

Xbox Series X. My friends and family are on Xbox. I have a growing library of 800+ games. I prefer the controller.

The Pro I ordered are for first party developed PS games.

Hope to replace both with a PC someday.

Smells like a console topic but need to chime in about my other platform I spent thousands of dollars on that's currently being threatened in here.

For multiplatform I prefer gaming on my PC. I use the consoles for their own ecosystem of games (PS5 for GT7/Bloodborne and Nintendo for their games)

I mix between PS5 and Xbox depending on the sale, but I'm not getting a Pro.

I'd probably lean PS with the Pro in mind but then again Xbox could launch a new gen early and be the opposite situation.

Ive often wondered about this, the only answer is PS5 + PC you have to double dip.
Means that any games with cross-save are instant double buy.

Also Epic Games store games are best to get on PS5 rather than PC until they come to Steam.

Yeah I own all of them, and a steam deck, I just buy everything on the ps5 🤷‍♂️. Keeps most stuff in one place. It’s also use the PlayStation as the media center. And once it’s the pro it’ll be by far the most powerful. And the dual sense is the best controller ever made. So yeah….

Probably will switch back to PS when I get my pro. Series X is my main. Less titles getting play any where which blows. I like the better VRR and controller on X.
