Doom: Dark Ages… oofff 5000 Series

These results are consistent across all PC focused outlets.

3050 getting 32fps at 1440p ultra nightmare at native with TAA. That means the Switch 2 could run this game at lower settings and resolutions. Actually impressive.

That is an impressive surprise. It was kind of obvious that Nvidia-sponsored or games designed around Nvidia hardware don't play well with AMD cards, but the more neutral engines bring rdna4 pretty close to Nvidia's rt standard. Unfortunately, I fear we all know how things will turn out with path tracing enabled, if they actually manage to get path tracing performing competitively on amd hardware, then I'll be truly impressed.

a Switch 2 version is probably already in development. porting this to Switch 2 is probably way less work than porting Doom Eternal to Switch 1 was.

Hasn't been the case for years.

Console level settings which don't hit RT bottleneck does that. Nothing to do with being "neutral".

The non-XT 9070 is such a good value right now, because it's way closer to its MSRP.

Vendors haven't priced gouged it so much like they have the XTs now.

Both are still great values compared to nVidia's pricing.
Too bad it's the exact opposite right now, at least in the USA.

I just got my 9070 XT last week. This is my first AMD card since 2000. It's delivering higher frame rates than I expected and zero issues so far. I also like their Adrenaline software.

Imagine not knowing that Id Tech engine has always favored AMD, going all the way back to when Call of Duty used Id Tech engines and all CoD games performed better on AMD for years
