Dragon Age: The Veilguard releases October 31st

Feels a bit weird, but is at least good enough, with no stupid controversy and decision, it might be nominated for VGA GOTY...
This year is 2021 all over again....just a bunch of decent, good games, without being one above all others....So DA, might get a nominee.

I'm not expecting it to be good as the first dragon age, but if it's as decent as inquistion i'll be happy.

Yeah it doesn't look like a traditional entry in the series, but it still looks good imo. Gotta be better than 2 at least. Too few RPG's out there that allow for actual choices. Too bad it took them ten years to release a new entry.

Its only 2 months away now tho. Feels kinda surreal

Wait what. Why would it be banned in India ?

edit - lol Unbelievable. Ign-India did a piece. Oh come the f* on India
According to the 2014 report, EA decided not to launch Dragon Age: Inquisition due to "local content laws" but never divulged details about what particular laws prohibited the game's launch. Milestone Interactive, EA's distributor in India at the time, claimed that the decision was made in reference to the game's homosexual sex scenes.

A 2015 report from Gadgets 360 suggested that EA did not release Dragon Age: Inquisition because of the advice it received from Milestone Interactive. It was also reportedly due to the distributor's financial problems at the time. This meant that they were simply unable to distribute the game among retailers, and hence, the game was never released in India.

While everything happened a decade ago, EA did not revisit the situation as Dragon Age: Inquisition is still not available in India. The publisher has now decided against releasing its sequel, and it is hard to make sense of this decision.

There has been no official Dragon Age title launch in India since 2014

Except that 2021 had Returnal, which was amazing and far above anything else (in my humble opinion).

Really looking forward to Veilgard btw. Day 1 if reviews are good.

I'll be looking forward to it on GP in a year. I don't have very high expectations, but some of the gameplay footage had nice graphics. I never gave Inquisition a shot, or Dragon Age 2. Just played the 1st one.

Damn. Any other way we can get it (is VPN a good idea?)?

It looks like EA just chickened out (or were forced or whatever) once and didnt bother ever again. We've had so many games and movies released with so many homosexual scenes. Seems weird that it would cause any issue.

Cool, Q4 '24 is fucking stacked.

I do hope this game has a definitive ending and doesn't need DLC like Inquisition to tell the ending of the story.

Visually it looks great, and I kinda trust BioWare on that regard (ME:A looked great, DA:I as well, and now this), but the combat has been getting increasingly more mediocre each entry. It's pretty unreal how in terms of combat Dragon Age peaked with Origins, and they managed to get worse each game. Do we have more information about the combat? It looks very "action"-like, and it seems to play nothing like Inquisition (which was already a step down from Origins and even 2).

Man I do not understand why they went for this bleak and purple aesthetic. it just doesnt go with these fantasy titles. People want to see beautiful lush vistas we can explore. what the hell is this. so unattractive. who wants to explore this world?

Dragon Age: Origins = Batman 1989

Dragon Age: Veilguard = Batman & Robin

This franchise has such an identity crisis. It's like they go back to the drawing board after every single game lol.

None of these games really look like they come from the same universe.

But despite the fact this looks goofy and everything Ive seen so far seems suspect.... Ill play it because its a big budget action RPG and I have zero self control.

I mean i didnt hate the trailer... but at the same time it felt visually generic. Detailed but generic. I want it to be good haha i'll wait for reviews and give it a chance if they are halfway decent i suppose. If it review bombs hard i'll prob pass. Sad as i liked the series up to this point. :/
