Wasn't the main complaint about the first one that it played like an MMO and once NoA decided to not bring it here everyone demanded to have it over here and people were absolutely fine with the single player MMO mechanic?

I bought the first one very early and was the best $50 I spent last generation. I'm hearing the same complaints as the first one and this looks even better.

They said you can turn off certain parts of it to go for a cleaner look. IIRC you could do the same for the first game too but I never bothered.

Yes. It's a little complicated to explain, but it's a mix of indirect options similar to Dragon's Dogma and Dark Souls, along with actual online quests you can go on with three other players. There's even a little feed that will show friends as they unlock achievements.

Agreed, if they implemented Devil's Third, Fatal Frame, Star Fox, Xenoblade, FAST, Project Treasure and so on, the digital event would've been far better, but they showed everything outside of the event.

I haven't really been around the import thread. How are the side quests in this one? A lot of the MMO fluff like in XC? More engaging? Less engaging? About the same?
