There are a surprising number of very attractive women on here though. That's including three girls I recognize that were a grade or two behind me in high school.

They cancelled their entire stage idea. They were originally going to have a stage inside their booth where devs would demo games for an hour at a time each and take questions and stuff. Sounded fun, and so I agreed to go do it.
WIth it cancelled, though, and my game not really in the forefront for promotion (it's not coming out as soon as the others they had there), I decided not to go because it was going to cost me a lot out of pocket for plane tickets/hotel.
on the bright side, they did have my game demoing on one of the screens and they told me it was received very well.

Oh and regarding "being judgmental" people need to get over it. Some of the best conversations in my life have been my friends showing me tough love. If all you ever get is affirmation you are missing out on having difficult conversations that may end up changing your life for the better.
In theory it works like that. People use it as an excuse to belittle other people though. Trick is to surround yourself with people you trust

Nope. Emotionally abusive and manipulative people are very real. Most of the time they don't even realize what theyre doing to their friends and family. Its unfair to say that people should have to just put up with them because it can do some serious emotional damage.

I wouldn't allow myself to be in relationships with people that were out to do that in the first place.
If that did end up happening with some random person I would realize that their opinion doesn't mean shit and move on from there.
This leaves friends that you trust and have your best interest in mind. And if I'm upset or offended by what they say I should probably examine if it is me getting my feelings hurt just because I don't like the idea of change.

If you assume you're "oversensitive" how do you ever find out those people were out to do that? Theres a reason why that's a tactic abusers use; doubting your own perception only allows them to treat you the same without raising a fuss.
I think it helps once in a while, from trusted people that love you,
but you gotta go with your gut if it's constant repeat behavior.

Tbh I think floaton just used too strong of language for a much more simple situation. Still I'll take the opportunity to preach about an important subject that people often seriously don't get.
