Fantastic Four feels like a film with nobody at the wheel, as it careens around shambolically before grinding to a slamming halt as the creative fuel runs dry

I might have to see this just because I'm guessing that How Did This Get Made will be doing an episode on it pretty soon.
Omg. Maybe there was some good to come out of this mess.I eagerly anticipate the next episode of RedLetterMedia's Half in the Bag
Teller probably knew this was going to be a disaster when he said that the review for the movie might not be that great.
This is what happens when a studio decides to make a movie for the wrong reasons.
Funny but also sad. These characters deserve so much more than this. It's like they're the Sonic of the movie movie industry but even he got some good games.I loved this image on the Grantland article about the movie.
Can someone expand on this?Appropriate take, given what happened with Trank on set.
This guy made Chronicle, which was a fantastic movie. How did he botch a superhero origin story so badly?

Maybe Fantastic Four just isn't movie material? What would Marvel do differently? Genuinely curious here.
Make a fantastic four film. It has been done before by Pixar and said so much I don't even need to say the name again.Maybe Fantastic Four just isn't movie material? What would Marvel do differently? Genuinely curious here.
Is his prose still fucking obnoxiously shitty and overdone?

Skip Origin story, go straight into F4 existing for years.
they'll still botch Doom though
8% now and the audience now has tossed the popcorn bucket, leaving it at only 55% excitement. Can we get down to 4% and 44% just for fun?

What Kate Mara is saying about her fan experience at Comic-Con:
"We spent a whole day there, sort of working and doing press, and you don't really get to meet the fans. So the next morning, Jamie Bell and I decided, 'Well, we want the experience of Comic-Con. So let's just go out, let's walk to get a coffee amongst all of the fans,'" Mara explained to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. "And we were like, 'Well, maybe this is a bad idea. We'll get mobbed and it'll be crazy,' and not one person...not one person noticed us."

I'm not going to lie, I think that Dr Doom design looks fucking radical, but it's not Dr Doom and that's what matters. If you make this amazing design for a giant superhero with four arms, it doesn't matter how cool it is, it won't fly as a design for Superman.
Movie is definitely pretty bad, screened it this morning. Forgettable in every way. I really should just accept that fantastic 4 are ever going to get a decent movie.

A perfect metaphor for the state of Marvel movies this summer:

RT percentages don't make for accurate comparisons for movies pre-2000. New movies are going to have several more reviews to count as part of their ratings than older films.
Shocking.
Even Clark Gregg had to go undercover to walk the floors safely.
