Teller probably knew this was going to be a disaster when he said that the review for the movie might not be that great.

This is what happens when a studio decides to make a movie for the wrong reasons.

Maybe Fantastic Four just isn't movie material? What would Marvel do differently? Genuinely curious here.

Fantastic 4 shouldn't be a hard movie to make, zkip to them existing for years, tell the origin quickly in a flashback, make it about their first encounter with Doom sense college.

Saying the F4 isn't movie material based off the shitty Fox movies is like saying X-Men isn't movie material based off of Wolverine: Origins. They have never once attempted to actually capture the essence of the F4.

Doom.......Doom in these movies is as good a portrayal of Doom as Deadpool was a good portrayal of Deadpool in Wolverine Origins

Galactus was a goddamn cloud.

The F4 themselves, they are't just superheroes who stay on earth fighting bad guys, they are explorers and adventureres. They go into space, they travel to weird and crazy different dimensions, they fucking time travel, none of this is on display in the movies. Hell they're missing two major characters that round out the family in Franklin and Valeria(Reed and Sue's kids)

All you need to do is watch the Incredibles to see how you portray a superhero family dynamic.

What Kate Mara is saying about her fan experience at Comic-Con:
"We spent a whole day there, sort of working and doing press, and you don't really get to meet the fans. So the next morning, Jamie Bell and I decided, 'Well, we want the experience of Comic-Con. So let's just go out, let's walk to get a coffee amongst all of the fans,'" Mara explained to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. "And we were like, 'Well, maybe this is a bad idea. We'll get mobbed and it'll be crazy,' and not one person...not one person noticed us."

I can't believe they made this expensive-ass movie just so I would read and laugh at this. Then sort of feel bad.

Actually make a Fantastic Four movie.

They're less superheroes and more super-explorers.

Until Ant-Man, very few superhero action films really captured that essence of journeying into the weird, the unknown, the dangerous. It's a dynamic that is missing from Marvel's lineup and FOX isn't doing anyone any favors by trying to fit the FF into the cookie cutter action blockbuster mold they want to stick them in.

Movie is definitely pretty bad, screened it this morning. Forgettable in every way. I really should just accept that fantastic 4 are ever going to get a decent movie.

I'm not going to lie, I think that Dr Doom design looks fucking radical, but it's not Dr Doom and that's what matters. If you make this amazing design for a giant superhero with four arms, it doesn't matter how cool it is, it won't fly as a design for Superman.

It would honestly be a pretty decent design for a doombot. Because it is pretty freaking generic and nowhere near as threatening as the real deal.

RT percentages don't make for accurate comparisons for movies pre-2000. New movies are going to have several more reviews to count as part of their ratings than older films.

True, but there are PLENTY of movies from the 2000s+ in that list and Fant4stic is STILL at the bottom of the barrel even by the low, low bar set by such duds as The Spirit, Elektra, and friggin' Catwoman.

Shocking.

Even Clark Gregg had to go undercover to walk the floors safely.

Eww, let's not mention that awful actor. I don't know what they did in the movie to make him palatable, but they didn't do it in the TV series because he's just come off as awkward the whole time.

if Guardians of the Galaxy can be made into a movie, then most certainly iconic Fantasic Four can be made into a good movie but sadly 2015 didn't got that way
