Wait, start my game with only 1 pawn point?

Maybe that's my problem. I am super conservative. I focus on getting power up first and then build out.

Should I focus my deck on cards that cap a lot of spaces or that have more power?

You can only play cards with 1 pawn point at the start. And you want to expand your board with greens. 3 point cards will get you nowhere the first few turns. 2 point depends which card it is. But with certain cards you can play good 2 points after 1 turn.

After some tries you can put a card that will increase the pawn points on the board, and play higher tier cards. But your priority should be capturing space first.

Ofcourse, its a bit RNG. You don't know what you will get after each play, but it doesn't really matter in a good deck. For example, put Crystalline Crab in the middle, then Grasslands wolf below. And from there you can march on. Try to leave a space between you and enemy pawns so that their cards can't turn them.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
First night since release I won't be able to play it because I've been roped into a social evening. :messenger_loudly_crying:

Someone answer this for me. Why are some party members so far behind in SP? Aerith is already like 1/3rd of the way to level 5, Cloud JUST hit 4, and everyone is lvl 3, with Red XIII barely halfway to level 4.

I was wondering that myself. Perhaps it's to avoid a cluttered formation that swarm around the party leader. So they pushed two of them back.

Probably could get fixed, but I'm not anticipating that.

25 Hours in, did all the side quests etc and only now about to step into the Gold Saucer, this has been alot of fun

I think I'm gonna replay the original after I'm done with this I think, its been a while

Also without any major spoilers, are the Ruby/Emerald weapons in this game? I loved those fights in the OG

You probably got skill books for those specific characters from chests or bosses or rewards.

Its kinda dumb how they changed Dyne's suicide into a heroic sacrifice. Why?
I'm not sure how the age ratings would have been if they kept it as a real graphic suicide. Stuff like that doesnt really fly well in some countries. Its one thing if 10 triangles fall down a cliff, another thing if you show it with modern graphics. Heroic deaths on the other hands, the US is fine with that. I mean its basically the same with Chocobo betting in the Gold Saucer. They had to take that out just like Pokemon had to take it out. Balatro even had to be removed from Steam because it had aspects of Poker in it.
I found it more weird that no one besides Barret really gave a shit. I mean you had a comic relief boss fight in the middle of it and the whole Dio scene while Barret was still mourning.

Man...Cosmo Canyon...Wow. What a place. I had to stop every few steps to make screenshot. Amazing. The sense of scale they achieve here is great. It finally really feels like you travel the entire planet and not just states within a country. Especially that moment you take control of the tiny Bronco. Real WTF moment haha.

Can't stop won't stop side quests spoilers
omfgg... I hate this so much. I know so many people are going to absolutely hate having to get these high scores in all the mini ganes. I did most of them one first or second try but this 3D Brawler is 3D Bullshit. I fucking hate it, 3 completely different attacks in each side that all look very similar for the most part... I hate this.

Chapter 11

Like the poster said earlier about the game changing Dyne's death, I also don't like what they did to Neibleheim. There is no sense of shock from Cloud and Tifa and the town 'residents' immediately reveal that it's a Shinra facility-town now.

Some of these changes are very odd and not for the better.

Just got through this part and I completely agree.

The entire thing felt sanitized.

Another point from that section:
When they're talking to the guy who tells them it's a Shinra town now, Tifa mentions she's from there until the "you know" (Sephiroth fire event) and that elicits ZERO response from the Shinra guy. You'd think someone from the town returning after it was burned to the ground, all residents presumed dead, and then raised from the ashes to be a Shinra town would raise some red flags. Instead he's just "Oh, well, don't stay here long." The entire dialog had me going WTF?

Well, it's rated T... So I guess suicide was off the table.
They really can't get away with a dude jumping off a cliff? Seems ridiculous with how much stuff passes in T games. No excuse for all the other unnecessary and mood changing alterations though.

All side quests completed, all region Intel 100%... It's done. Only thing I haven't done is combat simulator stuff and I probably won't. I might do some here and there but it's been a great ride. 80 hours of awesome aside for (endgame spoilers)
the shitty last couple hours when. It completely goes off rails and some other changes throughout that lessen the mood/experience

👍. Huge step over remake in general though.

Looks like we need that spoiler thread. Some people clearly on the edge to spoil things. They need help to contain those urges

Still early going, I haven't had much time to really get hooked. But slowly and surely the game is coming together and reminded me how much I enjoy the combat system compared to FF16. Starting to sink it's teeth into me now. Graphics are good enough for me. Music is still beaituful as always. So far, the open but not fully open world is nice.

All I want is FF8 remade with this type of passion and detail.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
How do you play as her? Not sure how she works at the moment
She doesn't have abilities that specifically states that it pressures enemies (e.g. Overpower with Tifa) or staggers enemies (e.g. Focused Thrust with Cloud).

However, she can still do these things "naturally" and she's quite ridiculous with the following set-up:

- Spend your first ATB with Doppelganger. This ability allows Yuffie to duplicate all her moves (including spell-casting in which your duplicated Yuffie performs a lesser version of said magic).
- Once Doppelganger up, throw your boomerang at your enemy (triangle) and mash square until you've reached one more ATB.
- Spend your second ATB bar on the elemental-jutsu that your opponent is weak to.

When you've got Doppelganger + the correct elemental-jutsu up, you can mash square to deal elemental weakness damage to your opponent, thus pressuring (and very quickly) staggering your opponent. Because of her overall speed and square-spam, you'll notice your abundance of ATB. Feel free to spend that on whatever you like. If you're close to the enemy, you could do her 1-ATB-cost damage ability, which also btw gets duplicated by Doppelganger.

Just met her but if its anything like intergrade, she is a long range specialist able to do magic without spending mp. Just stagger the shit out of enemies. And the first stagger in Rebirth builds up summon bar. Yeah, things can get

Fire This Is Fine GIF
If you throw the shuriken with ▲ then press ▲ again she warps to the shuriken in the air, then press ■ ■ ▲, ■ ■ ▲, ■ ■ ▲, etc to do an infinite aerial combo.

If the boss winds up to take a swing at you just do the moogle replacement jutsu move and you can keep comboing. Yuffie is awesome. Also in a game with Chadley and Roche, she is not at all irritating in comparison

Seriously what is wrong with the Gold Saucer Collisium? That first fight is so hard and you just get stunlocked constantly by 8 enemies attacking you at once

With Cloud, hold square to suck the enemies in (making them all stack in one bunch).

Then choose any ga-spell of your liking to demolish everything.

Tbf they are weak to ice, I need to level Blizzard
Yeah, stack them suckers up and to -ra then, you should have -ra which is plenty enough to slaughter everything!

Any tips for Aerith? She is soo slow for me. I dont' know how to play as her.

Set up a couple of wards to teleport between to give you an option for quick movement. Try to have an ATB saved in case you get clobbered by a group of melee fighters so you can use a Sorcerous Storm

Casting Radiant Ward is almost always a must. If you're dealing with super aggressive enemies cast the wards then switch to other characters.

If projectiles are a problem use Lustrous Shield.

She's mainly for support but if Radiant Ward is up her ai can better contribute to the stagger meter.

I only have Randiant Ward and Lustrous Shield set up in her shortcuts so the ai know which abilities to prioritize when I'm not controller her.

First Strike materia so I can get her wards up as soon as possible and Auto Weapon Ability so ai is not completely useless.

If she takes a lot of damage she gains her limit break really fast, which can be useful for quickly healing your party while making her immune to any damage.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

I beat 3 fights in gold saucer on first visit at level 29 ish, with Tifa as my companion. I had a tough time with the third and then I found out its a level 39 fight. You need Ice there, and fire. You can melt fight 1 with Ice, and the flame troopers with Fire.

Yuffie is good. She can maintain ATB if you use the invisible dodge through attacks, and she can do both ranged and close. Plus, she has all elements under her ninjitsu.

I don't have that ability.:messenger_anguished:

The weapon is in under junon inn chest and sold in Corel.
