I was in that run I believe, and I was back in WoD within an hour.
That tank coat, IT WILL BE MINE!
All-in-all, it was 22 minutes. 13 was without two fights oops.
We just needed more GAF! lol

Are you getting poetic pieces or have Dreadwyrm for those classes yet?
DRG- Hands and Boots are good
PLD - I know the Chest piece is good
BLM - Hat and pants
The bard chest from WoD actually makes it into at least one BiS configuration. It's really good. Also if you buy the poetics bard chest you will be harshly judged, so.
Depending on what you're trying to do with Bard, the hat and boots are okay too. The boots are crit/det, which is great, but if you're doing endgame as bard you generally need accuracy on boots (especially if you have the WoD chest). Hat it acc/crit, also great, but slightly less acc than poetics. If you're not doing bard stuff that requires accuracy, though, it's fine.
All the DRG pieces, except maybe the belt, are decent. Many of the poetics pieces are better, but if you don't want to spend poetics the WoD Dragoon stuff is mostly legit.
The Belt is a bit questionable, Crit Skillspeed, eh. :\
Pants and body are Crit Accuracy, that's not bad, but not great either.
Tank pieces from WoD are pretty decent overall as well.
Helm is Determ Skill Speed, that's wonderful if accuracy isn't an issue for you.
Boots and Body are Determ Crit.
Arms are Crit/perry, basically upgraded High Allagan arms.
Pants and belt are bad. Parry Skillspeed, and Skill Speed accuracy. Unless you're replacing something several ilvl100 or lower, these probably aren't significant upgrades for you. The pants at least might be decent vanity.

So I'm level 25 now. Still no mount mission yet. I've mainly focused on story missions and then all local sidequests. Been running any new guildhest duty that I can. As a DPS its tough at times waitng smh. But regardless I feel like I'm doing the right stuff. I don't do levequest really. Just the ones to actuvate them for the area. Should I do them more at this point? And can I sell all of these food items and leftover armor and weapons. I breezed through the materia tutorial and haven't even looked to see if its applicable to me yet. Any tips would be nice. Thinking my next character will be a ninja. Either Miqoute of Lalafell.

Did you join a grand company? If you did, their first mission is to get 2000 seals and buy the chocobo from them or something
Something I just thought about recently, do you guys think we'll see DRK/AST/MAC in 2.55's story? You are supposed to be able to play them as soon as expansion hits, but all the classes thus far have had a story reason for their being in Eorzea. NIN/ROG had storyline references in the patches leading up to 2.4 with Thancred talking about his thief guild contacts and of course Yugiri's offer of ninja training. On a similar note, we know that Yugiri's face will be revealed thanks to the trailer which would serve as a teaser for the Au Ra becoming playable.
I could see AST being showcased during the battle at Ishgard, as we know the Astrologists are Ishgardian and some are already ingame. Not sure how DRK/MAC would work in though. MAC seems like it'd be something linked to Cid, but DRK I'm clueless on. Maybe a link to Ascians? A group that uses their magic against them or something.

I mean I'm laughing now. Crying hysterically as well. But laughing.
The run started out so well too, we were all commenting on how civilized everyone was.. then around the 5 headed dragon, things took a turn. It got real dark real fast.
I half suspect that Dark Knights will be based in some region in Dravania. Mostly because I have a hard seeing a bunch of religious zealots openly condoning a group of warriors that actively tap into the power of darkness.
Also because the Dark Knight moveset video from the Japanese fanfest seemed to be set in the Dravanian Highlands. Though that might not mean anything, of course.

Skill Speed is the worst stat ever for a PLD doing FCoB. Especially when the BRD can't hit you with Army Paeon as he's out of range of you on the other side of the mob and just gets the WAR and MNK.
I run out of TP quite a bit. T12 isn't so bad because I can just flash for first part of Bennu phase. T13 also isn't so bad as I can get TP back during dive bombs, but before then, TP is running out. T11 is bad for me.

If you follow the storyline, just after the fight with Ifrit (Level 20 quests) you should be approached with the opportunity to learn about the three GCs and choose which one you want to be affiliated with. Also, you should choose whichever one is your favorite. Once you choose your Grand Company, there will be a quest you can take in their respective headquarters to get you your chocobo.

it should be part of the main story quest. These three ppl talk to you about joining their grand company. Starts at level 20. See if you've done can do these quests

I'm just expecting Raubahn to show off as a DRK. He looks like he should be a DRK.
Really though, the Battle of Ishgard thing coming with 2.55 will probably just showcase some of them.

What do you do if you're attacking so fast that you're running out of TP? Attack slower?
We don't have a Ninja. Apparently neither Asami or Moara like playing the job because of the mudra latency. Doesn't matter, as both do way more damage on their respective jobs.
Also the goads should go to MNK.
Army Paeon is the solution but it's apparently hard to hit the MT with it. Especially on things like T11 because I think Skoje often sings during add phase where I'm on other side.
Three options: (regarding PLD)
- Flash
- Shield Swipe
- Ask for help (NIN/BRD)
The sheer utility of Goad is so amazing I'm surprised other melee classes don't have similar TP assist moves.

In one of the story quests you have to join a Grand Company. After you get 2k seals you can buy a chocobo.
See if you can convert the armor you've already used. If it's not fully spiritbonded and you're having space troubles you can sell them to merchants for very little money.
Do you have your retainers yet? If you do, you can sell the armor you haven't worn on the market board at better prices usually. Same with the food.
There's no need to make another character to try a new job (in fact it's better if you don't for cross-class skills). Unless you want an alt for a specific reason I would advise against it.
That's only a small part, we all know the real reason is because I have no reason to switch away from the best class in the game. Mudras being on a .5 cd is dumb but manageable if I really needed it.
Ululation is like Prey, if you didn't receive damage you will not suffer Abandonment. It hits for like 200 so even a succor is enough. Whip up your lazy healers into shielding the party and don't get hit.
As for Heat Wave I just stand there and laugh as people who can't read tooltips drop dead.

I see. I usually slow my attacks to allow for more TP to regenerate but I guess getting out the DEEPS is more important.
Yeah, and it's the same thing for Heat Wave, except it hits for like 500 or so. PSA to the healers out there: Stoneskin your melee classes plz and ty.
I mean if you have to stop or slow during an average fight then whatever... You shouldn't but it happens. If you have hate then you're still doing your job.
This pertains more to coil where no deeps basically means you're fucking up.

Thanks for the advice and tips. Interesting about cross class skills. Never looked into that. And no, I don't have access to retainers yet. Guess I'm to far back on story missions it seems. I'll rectify that tonight though.
If you could open a coil chest and not have garbage pop out, we wouldn't have this problem
Slowing DPS might be more viable in a game with a really fast GCD, but with a game with a 2.5 second *default* GCD, pausing for a second or two really obviously hurts your DPS. Only time you might want to pause, is if you're Warrior MTing. Inner Beast being on the GCD can be painful.

I believe you don't have to do a quest to get a retainer. The person I know of is in gridania where the market board is. You talk to the elezen(?) lady behind the desk and she asks if you want to hire a retainer
Retainers are locked behind a level 17 story mission. it's not an explicit retainer mission, but you have to do it before the vocates will let you hire one.
