I was considering changing to the new race when the expansion comes out but I think I'm going to hold off on that. Someone has to keep the Highlander flag raised high.
Oh wow. The second link especially looks really useful (levequest section). Managed to get the Sylph and Ixali tribes unlocked. Now all that's left is to level stuff. Hoping I can get some good stuff for glamouring at some point (I'm guessing Weaver and/or Leatherworker would be good for that).

Can some my "Road map to passable gear" a look over. I pretty muched played the month of release and that's it. my road map looks like
Unlock Sycrus > Unlock Hunts > Sycrus 100 gear > Hunt 110 gear > Relic work
Should I bother with getting i90 gear before doing Sycrus runs?

Don't think that's the best way. Imo buy soldery 100 gear and use the sands/oils you'll get from Syrcus to upgrade them to 110. Don't use hunt seals for the 100 gear, they are useful.
So the 1st thing to do is get to ilvl 70 to enter Syrcus, farm it for gear and oils/sands while buying the soldery gear and upgrading it. Unlock the high level and ex dungeons as soon as you get the ilv for it for daily bonus and 100 gear. Also, do WoD when you get the chance.
I don't remember the ilvl min for Sycrus but the first tower is ilvl50 so you should do
first tower for ilvl 80 stuff > get ilvl 120 stuff with poetics and ilvl 100 stuff with soldieries > Sycrus tower for ilvl 100 stuff > second coil for ilvl 110 stuff (and the mat to upgrade soldieries stuff to ilvl 110) > WoD for ilvl 120, don't bother with hunt.

Good stuff, So combined census seems to be to minimize hunts and focus on raiding. So much of the currency crosses with each dungeon, it's a little confusing

I can't be bothered with savage anymore after a few t7 savage tries (we cleared t6 savage before 2.5), told my group I don't mind them getting other people for savage

I played back during release, even joined the Gaf free company but sub expired and I was studying for CPA test so I never came back. I played during free login weekend and managed to get the Artemis Bow and now I got a 60 day time card cuz I got hooked again :S

With the expansion coming I decided to start playing it, just bought the game and a time card.
If I understand it correctly, for the recruit a friend thing I have to enter the game code on the square-enix account and then enter the friend code before the time card code.
I am from Spain and probably going to choose Moogle as my server, if someone wants to do the friend thing just quote me and I will send you a PM.

We really need that expansion, like, yesterday. People are already turning on each other, and it only seems like it's going to get worse. Ultros is in upheaval with bad hair cuts populating the once serene Mist landscape. I'm not sure how much longer I have left in this world. My green dreads are beginning to grow on me. Send help.
