Not gonna lie I am absolutely terrified of the effect an online triple triad complete with tournaments and prizes and pvp and ??? cards is gonna have on what little remained of my free time.

3 more dungeon drops and I'll be ready for more lightstuff. Maybe the app will work by then for it too!

I went back to the 2.45 patch notes, and it looks like dungeon Atma didn't make the new items list there. Mahatma could just be key items, just like regular Atma should have always been.

I am so pissed at Light Grind 2.0

I'm going to go hard at it this week and get it done, but those 2000 light took much longer than the dungeons in Zodiac or Atma / Books before it.

I AM SO SICK OF GARUDA'S FACE. They better make other content much higher than Trials.

Wonder how you'll feel if claws don't drop for you for like 12 weeks.

At least relic weapons give you a chance to beat bad RNG, and you have the worst RNG right now :O

EDIT - Maybe our new WAR can open a good chest or two :)

On the one hand I want this light grind to be light enough that people will be finished by the weekend. On the other, that means everyone'll be done before I can well and truly no-life it. Moving back in to WoD when not Triple Triad card farming, get hype.

Since my Dreadwyrm Staff refuses to drop, I might have to return to working on my Relic. I'm at...7/9 on the book stage, so I have a LONG way to go. :/

I wonder if the new grind will follow different rules so as not to be GARUDAAAAAA and instead reward people for trying to do other stuff like EX primals and what not. If it's just the same it's kinda super lazy. Is it gonna be even slower than prenerf light to compensate?

I guess at least it means I can do Gold Saucer stuff right away after unlocking relic step and not care about it much other than when a good window is open/I have some free time.

That's weird they wouldn't allow you to play in housing areas.

I mean you could get some use out of seating areas in your houses by a bunch of people playing triple triad. Instead if you're both at your FC house or your own house, you have to both teleport to one of the cities.

I think the point is that so people don't hole up in their FC houses where nobody sees them.

But no one holes up in their FC or personal houses currently. Need something for people to use them. Most people just stand outside / next to MB near their house.

Yeah, it's been rotting in my inventory for a while now. Knowing what else needs to be done to complete it has been a massive deterrent for me, especially for something that was outclassed by other weapons.

However, given that it's now technically BiS [and the lack of a Dreadwyrm weapon], it's kind of urging me to pick up that grind. We'll see.

I'm not liking these new Triple Triad rules...ewwww. Reminds me of how much work I had to put in to spread the good rules to every city in VIII.

Oh just saw the blood sword thing, that's neat, I have been wanting that sword since they first added Hauke HM. Wonder what the Skjoldr shield will look like (and the other vanity weapons too I guess, be really great if Ai Apaec is an "invisible" set so MNKs can beat people up bare handed)

They should let you play literally anywhere, seems weird to restrict it at all.

But get hype for the upcoming 5star housing item Triple Triad table that lets you play in houses.

Don't do it, man. At some point in the process you'll have an epiphany and realize it's not worth it.

Only to realize moments later you're in too deep to turn back now, and will feel compelled to see it through.

Well I'm glad I didn't kill myself this weekend trying to finish Zodiac. I only would have been setting myself up for disappointment.

Yoshi pretty much designs content for the way the community plays. There isn't any good reason why personal housing, Hunts, and fishing had to be like super-hardcore endgame-grind class content. Those sorts of things are casual content in other games. But he notices this community loves to grind, so he gives them what they want. The Relic grind is like the ultimate manifestation of giving the community precisely what it wants.

Ah, they added that sword? Nice!

More light farming? Eh, more incentive to run content, kinda wished they'd add something new but, I guess that'd be a bit tough without adding new content to go with it.

Hope the buffs help out summoners a bit. I mean, definitely not as substantial as the DRG buff, but, DRG's needed a bit more work to start with.

No vanity axe? Understandable but, still a bummer.

ROFL at the Zodiac Weapon Zeta. At least it's the legit undisputed strongest weapon in the game (if you're rich and can spec it right) for the grind now.

And yay for Carbontwine in the weekly, fuck a Hunt.
