Finished my bow. It took, like, the exact amount of time my crazed final zodiac day took.
Skipped the cutscenes and can't find them in the inn, and immediately glamoured over it, so no picture.
But IT IS DONE. If this thing can't carry me through everything in the game, it can't be done. I need to do some Alex maps tomorrow to see if I can actually tell the difference.
REMEMBER: DONT DO RELIC, KIDS, IT'S NOT WORTH IT.

I like how many options glamour gives you for customizing your appearance versus having to mess with armor appearances locked to stats.

So when the tournament rolls around next week are the players that are going to be the most competitive going to be the ones that have spent the most time grinding for cards? Is that Lightning card won from it going to be legal to use in competitive decks? The value of all its sides is a LOT higher than that of even the other 5 star cards. Who is going to be able to fuck with the guy that wins that?

Pay no attention to the BRD behind the relic. Nothing to see there. I just touched up Qhon's concept art and did a 3D-Rendering to bring the image to life.

Mate, Evolve is great and i finished The Order yesterday. I cba to do it because of the new expansion. I'm afraid i'll do it for nothing because there is a chance a new relic will make its appearance.
I just do my weekly and raid and log out thats all in it for me. I'm not into the golden saucer either

I never played much of Triple Triad in FF8 [I know, I'm a horrible person] but I'm really enjoying it. I need to build up my deck, though.
Chocobo Racing...could be highly addicting. I'm going to try my best not to let it consume me, but no promises...
The Relic grind continues tomorrow. I'm going to aim on completing the final three books and moving onto the next stage. Honestly, what's been preventing me most in continuing it was knowing what the cost of Materia in the Alexandria stage will be. I don't mind putting in work, but I'm not exactly looking forward to spending 1+ million Gil to purchase the required Materia, especially considering my luck in-game isn't the best and I could effectively fail in the melding. :/

Triple triad farming seems like the most reliable way from what I've seen. Chocobo racing is good rewards but it takes a while to run and you're not necessarily guaranteed to win I'd say, while Triple triad if you're farming specific NPCs and know the AI and have a deck tailored to beat them, you have a very high % chance to win and you can chain games quickly. The GATEs have some that are fine in terms of difficulty and time per MGP, but some are terrible, and the minigames are really just a waste of time/bot baits. And obviously, Cactpot is great if you win.

The GATE's seemed fun at first but some of them seemed like a quick way to lose mgp.
Kinda poor, in my opinion. It's all just another gigantic grind wall. TT itself is still a fun game but unlocking cards for it is a chore. Choco racing is barebones and kind of unresponsive. It's a fun distraction but definitely not something I'd recommend resubbing for. I'd just hold out for the expansion and check the Saucer stuff out then.
Hmm, I see. Still really need to advance on my relic weapon though. That + all of my Free Company members bugging me to resub.

I checked out this thread for all the Gold Saucer happenings and Chocobo Racing and whatnot but seeing all the community here makes me wish the game had cross-servers so I could play with all of you. My friends are all on Ragnarok so I went there too and normally I don't bother with guilds in MMOs but FF14 is seriously the one MMO that I seemingly always come back to next to PSO2 I'm still in the process of getting my Animus book, so I'm slogging a bit behind but I'm catching up

I've always been strong into MMOs (mostly WoW) but now I'm looking for something new and fresh. Especially a couch-playable-MMO on my PS4.
But before I get deeper into the game i want to ask some questions:
1) How fast is the leveling process?
2) Are there catch-up mechanics to gear-up?
3) I LOVE raids and dungeons. What does the game offer to me?

1 - Kind of fast. Just doing the daily stuff you can probably reach 50 in one class is two weeks or so.
2 - Many, right now you can get to ilv100 easily just from dungeons , ST and currency, and then 120 with 130 upgrades.
3 - There are the 3 Syrcus towers raids, 32 man, lts of dungeons, I think almost as many post lv50 than leveling ones, and 8 raid/boss fight coil turn.
There are more post-50 dungeons than pre-50 ones now.

Best patch. I can't bring myself to do anything but Triple Triad now. I did queue into a World of Darkness but it was motivated by card drops...

I just grind King with the starter deck. Starter deck is actually pretty good for doing plus against him once you get a feel of the AI/pattern (I was getting wrecked at first till I understood how plus worked).
Could probably get better cards, but then he won't fall for my baits. Well, that or I have to come up with some new tactics. Sadly I'm to lazy to do this.
Luckily I only need MGP for coverings. Training from what I can understand does not boost a stats star rating of the parent. Though it does affect rating which grants access into higher races for more exp.
Are there any other choco jocks/breeders? Should have a GAF choco tournament or something.
I was planning on getting caught up with the story, but then Racing and Triad (got to make MGP to fund my choco stim habits) happened.
I saw a thing about the Relic weapon and want to confirm: I can make a poverty Novus (Crit/Det/Acc), create a copy of the scroll, continue to work on Nexus/Zodiac/Zeta and fill the copied scroll with the materias I really want and put on my upgrades weapon later? That would be awesome.
I played the game for a couple of months when it released. After reading about the content updates, i feel like now it could be the right time to jump back in.
I am not interested in raiding (tired of that), so if there is enough fun content that is not aimed at raiders i might just resub

As long as I can reach Novus faster and fix it later, no problem.
My Gold Saucer impressions, if anyone's interested:
The Gold Saucer is pretty great. It's fun to see the whole damn server there too. Until people start shouting dumb things then the fun diminishes, but still... It's a joyful place. I can see this place being real interesting on a Friday or Saturday night, when half the server liquored up (me included tbh).
Triple Triad indeed is virtual crack. I've been holed up challenging the tutorial NPC's by the trainer robbing them of their lowly rank 1 cards. I need to do some reading up on the rules, especially that Plus rule. It can turn the tides of a match real fast. I was also challenged by a real player and it was a fun match (since I won). I got 180MGP out of it too, which is pretty great. So I see myself taking on more randoms as I get comfortable with my decks and the rules, in order to raise funds to juice up my racing chocobo Black Mimosa.
Chocobo Racing is a blast. I think they did a great job with it. My skills aren't that great but I'm getting the hang of it. I guess the only downside is that it will be a massive grind to train a chocobo. The prices for the special greens are pretty high, and at the rate I've been receiving MGP it'll take a bit to save up for those upgrades. Either way, it's pretty fun, and perfect for remote play actually. Just the right combo of mindless and fun.
