After a few hours of playing and messing about last night on the trial I decided to pick up the full game, £16.50 for the disc version (I am a fan of having the physical version given the choice) and should be here tomorrow which is good timing as I have the day off.

Welcome. You're here forever.

The sad part is that I had to discard them all since I could do nothing with them :/

Im doing each NPC until I get all cards they drop. Someone in page 329 posted a nice guide. Already did Jonas, Guht and now waiting for the sweet Golbert Manderville from Ruht.

NPC I.A. seems pretty basic. You can easily exploit it, it seems. Managed to win 3 cid and 2 B&W from Ixaly boss this way.
Exploiting the AI is pretty much the only way you can win for a few of them. Name of the game is bait them into doing something really dumb.

I hope that Louisoix card has another drop location no one has found yet, just beating Rowena period can be a struggle, it's pure RNG on how much (or little) the Random draw screws you over.

Godbert has like three or four npcs that drop his card, it may be a good idea to farm those npc's other cards and only come back to whichever is easiest to farm for you after the fact if you don't get him whilst getting their unique cards.

Someone explain to me how I even start collecting in TT. Everyone in GS has amazing shit and wrecks you.

You can get cards from dungeons or boss fights if that's more your thing. Learning the game and how you can use the rules to your advantage is another good way to get cards, and can get you some rare cards real fast.

Yeah I just noticed that Golbert drops from other NPC too. Good cuz I dont like playing Ascension with Ruht :S

Thanks for the tip.

The starter deck you get is actually pretty good, especially when playing against PLUS or SAME ruleset. With knowledge of how those systems work, you can beat everyone in the GS TT area with the starter set, especially King Elmer who is a fucking moron TT player.

IMO, if you can't seem to win and just want to build up your TT Deck try trials, get money to buy a Silver or Gold pack (at low Card Rank you can only have 1 rare) then play a lot of low cost matches (10 to 15 MGP) for practice. A lot of TT strategy is tricking the AI to take bait so you can recapture your own cards as well as make a final play on theirs. GL!

Got a Zidane card cause I bought a gold pack like an idiot. Pretty good. Still 0/50 on the Bahamut card from the King, though.

Bought another gold pack and got fucking 2* Gerolt. Ugh

Has anyone played as a rogue/ninja? What's the general consensus on it?

Ive been leveling my Ninja right now along side my main Pali. My Pali is at 47 and ive been messing around with him since day one really but my Nin hit 38 the other day and Ive only been messing with him for about a month or two. I dont get on as much as I wish I could.

The Ninja has a lot of fun attacks and rotations to learn that makes battles alot more fun imo. His DPS numbers against other DPS options are usually among the highest if not the highest. Plus you run faster than any other class and you have stealth lol. I wish it was a Samurai but Ninja is a very welcome addition to the roster of classes and is by far my favorite until the Expansion atleast. Cant effing wait for The Dark Knight!

This might be a really dumb question, Im sorry if this has already been answered but I wanted to know if their were any opportunities to get a good amount of XP at the Golden Saucer? Are their ways to get a good amount of XP their or is it just mostly the level 15 quests you get when you first get there and thats it?

Wondering if its a viable place to take a secondary class to help level it up faster. Does anyone have any recommendations other than the usual daily dungeons and fates around level 35?

Next week we'll be talking to Yoshi-P about Heavensward so I'm looking for any questions you guys might have on the expansion.

Currently leveling up my NIN. Pretty fun so far. Rogues guild story is charming. All that pirate speak..

But the DPS Duty Finder queues are a special circle of hell. 20 mins + to get into a dungeon. So leveling it up has been very very slow going.

Doesn't look like you get any class exp whatsoever at the gold saucer. Just MGP (gold saucer moneys).

Daily dungeon roulettes, fates and leves might be the best way to level up. Don't forget to eat food for that xp bonus. Also look around and see if you missed any sidequests for your level range. Some decent xp there too.

Where are the tank and melee DPS Zetas? We've got all kinds of healer and ranged DPS and magic users, but no up-close fighters representing.

Do they all have lives?

Where is my fucking fat cat, yoshiP.
Also ask if they can make a fat dog.
Or any other obese animals for that matter.

I'm okay with an obesity epidemic hitting the fauna of Eorzea so long as they're tiny and cute.

Im also working on my Ninja atm and after going through with my Pali there arent too many side quests left for me to do, especially at level 35. The que times are honestly whats holding my progress back from being able to get to 50 for a DPS class. They should really reset side quests after a period of time for players to redo or something that makes it easier than creating a whole new character. Which is something that really made this game stand apart from all the other MMOs at the time. I love this MMO more than any other out on the market but the que times are what causes me to pick something else to spend an hour or less on when I get time.

I might note that I haven't really messed with cards yet. I still need to learn some of the rule sets, and I want a few more "not crap," cards before I try taking on anyone that knows what they're doing.

Besides, been working on my Zeta. Over halfway there now, despite having to work, and having to stop to do Coil.
