A much more rigorous example would be this:
Redfall review
Final Fantasy XVI review
Same reviewer of course.

I can't stand Tim Gettys, but he's not the only one I've seen putting that kind of energy into this game.
I'm going to wait and see. Was going to buy a PS5 for this but when reviews/impressions state that its "light on rpg elements/mechanics", I was kinda turned off. Are there any good non-spoiler reviews detailing what RPG mechanics are in the game?
Theres a skill tree and crafting. Thats about it. You’re not managing party members or making many story decisions.
This clown claimed it would be his game of the year before he had even played the final game, or the year was over....lets think about that lol
And he's supposed to be gaming press.
Thats true with 90% of all JRPGs, even back in Square Soft days.Theres a skill tree and crafting. Thats about it. You’re not managing party members or making many story decisions.

So it's about as RPG as God of War is. Expected I guess.
Haha there are people who neglected was a Yakuza because the name was “like a dragon” so was a spin-off, when the title is literally the translation of the Japanese name of the series.Yakuza always was a brawler and never scored as high as the turn based jrpg but by your logic it wasnt yakuza anymore? Guess what your logic is objectively wrong.
I mean… a whole lot of people are saying that about Starfield, and that includes media blood.
Nope. Only way to get Deluxe and Collector Editions.Stop pre ordering games!
Yeah that's bullshit too.
Imagine claiming it's the best ever final fantasy....that's wild....it should be at a 95 metacritic if that's the case...
Better than FFV, VI and IX....wowza
Don't be silly, there's too many white people in it.Yeah that's bullshit too.

Add The Guardian to that list as well.Eurogamer, The Verge, Kotaku and Polygon all fucking suck.
FFXVI audio and music is a 8/10.A much more rigorous example would be this:

I have held conversations with people like this who I wanted to stab repeatedly after just a couple of minutes listening to them talking about how unfair the world is - as they drink £20 glasses of craft beer, wearing £200 sun glasses, and living in flats that their parents still pay for.
and i stand for what i've said, since u played the game for 12 hours u know that i was right cause i too played the game for 20 hours ( thanks to my local store ) and is a 10/10 for me, the game should had scored higher no doubt.Lokaum D+ so.. about that 95 ”no problem”.
Sorry bro.
On a good side, I’ve played the game for over 12 hours now and it’s a 10 if that matters for you :3
OT when? Tomorrows work day is going to be loooooooong

FF16 just didnt achieve a higher score because dindt pander to the "modern sensibility", "forced diversity" that plagues or game industry right now and at the end of the day Tabata was right about the "FF disease" that affect most of the fanbase.
A "Final Fantasy disease" infected Square Enix, says Tabata
Something called the "Final Fantasy disease" has affected Square Enix and lots of fans.www.vg247.com
"Around that time, I realized that among fans as well, there are people who've caught Final Fantasy disease," he said about some of the negative feedback Final Fantasy 15 had received.
"It refers to people within the company who can't imagine anything other than their own view of Final Fantasy," Tabata elaborated.
"Since the root is a strong self-affirmation, one’s own view of Final Fantasy takes more priority than the team’s success. If that view of Final Fantasy isn't fulfilled, then they’re convinced that it’s bad for Final Fantasy.
"They think, ‘Since Final Fantasy is a special team, then we are also special because we are making it. When the new Final Fantasy comes out, everybody is going to be so into it.’ But that’s not the reality of the situation, is it?"
Tabata added that because of this, he had to tell the development team at one point, "We're not special. Wake up."
"I realized that when Final Fantasy XV news was made public--this wasn't only inside the company. Everyone has FF disease."
I always thought it would be a stretch for a 90s MC score. The game absolutely looks like a high 80s.I thought for sure this would hit a 93.
When it’s a long running series, it is IMPOSSIBLE for people to not have certain expectations. We are human. It is impossible; I don’t care what anyone says. And even Yoshi-P said it himself, that the FF series kind of lost its foundation after Sakaguchi left.and i stand for what i've said, since u played the game for 12 hours u know that i was right cause i too played the game for 20 hours ( thanks to my local store ) and is a 10/10 for me, the game should had scored higher no doubt.

Maybe they aren't buying it because it's not 89+?? What does it matter? In this person's opinion it's not good enough for them to pay full price at launch.
When people say “I’m not buying it because it doesn’t have a 90+ MC,” it is the equivalent of a person telling you “I’m just not looking for a relationship.”And that's SUPER STUPID!
Yeah I'm in the same boat, except I went ahead and bought the Ps5. So hell with it, ready for tomorrow *rubs hands*.I'm going to wait and see.
