I think they were already posted. Lemme dig them up...When do we get ratings for Sky/UK?
It seems that UK audiences have more of a penchant for swords, sandals and sorcery than slick Madison avenue suits, as the series two premiere of the Sky Atlantic import attracted 522,000 viewers on Monday 2 April.
The fantasy drama, which attracted 743,000 viewers when the show launched on 18 April last year backed by a massive ad campaign, peaked with 633,000.
The average live audience for the first series of Game of Thrones was about 365,000 viewers.
Yes. Get the S1 blu-ray, watch a few episodes, and see if you like it.I didn't mean skipping S1 and getting into S2, I just meant does this show have he legs to make it worthy of jumping into this late?
Lol, this is true a lot of the time. Yesterday someone told me they found it hard to believe the book is better than the show, in response to me saying I prefer reading the books but the show is also good.@Helmholtz
That sounds familiar but when i recommend the books they usually respond with : nah reading is boring! WTH.
I guess the quote above is about Emilia Clarke? If so what you have been smoking?

Nope, Ros.
Anyone who thinks either of them are fat need locking up in an institution.
I'd imagine sky is a lot more popular than HBO (relatively speaking). a very significant percentage of the population have a subscription. Sky Atlantic however is a relatively new channel and isn't exactly front and centre in their portfolio so it doesn't get as much exposure as it might if they put it on Sky1. Doesn't explain the drop off though, especially since they had a pretty big ad campaign.Hm, that's somewhat of a drop from last season's premier. Sky is like a HBO equivalent for the UK though right, and therefore can't be compared to a "basic cable" channel like ITV1 (Downton Abbey) I'm guessing.

So who's playing the maid of tarth? Need me some brienne.
I thought the second season primere was better than any episode of the first season. They are doing a nice job of distilling the key scenes in the book, quickening and intensifying the story, and then adding a few choice scenes to drive their points home.
Bron in happier days.
I have never read any of the books. Just bought "Clash of Kings", but I am a little apprehensive about starting it without having read the first book. Even though I saw season 1 of the show, should I still read "Game of Thrones" or will I be able to follow book 2 pretty decently?
Literally flabbergasted that I didn't piece this together sooner.
Funny scene.
The Hill people were all named exactly for their fathers. But Bronne...
Oh Bronne.
I've read all the books. When reading them I never think about the characters accents. Why do people have so many gripes about this with the show? I'm not trying to be a dick, just trying to understand.

Someone needs to add "Haters gonna hate" to that Cersei gif. The perfect response to any and all Lena bashing.
I think you will be fine. You will be missing out on some stuff, but I think the show pretty much covered every major event from the first book, and there were no major characters missing from the series. I still recommend reading it, but you will not be lost by skipping it.
I'm surprised it hasn't been announced by now. Either the Luck debacle has affected how HBO announces renewals or HBO and the showrunners haven't reached an agreement on details like money and number of episodes yet.
You'd be surprised. There are people I know that if the ribs aren't showing she's "fat". I don't get it but I just know their wrong and speaking nothing of it, lol.
Season 3 announcements for Boardwalk Empire and Treme occured a few weeks in their second season runs. So maybe this is similar. But given how long it takes to produce the show you'd think they would want to get the ball rolling as soon as possible.
