So now it seems Sony's big three games for this year (DS2, Marathon and Ghost of Yotei) are all dated. Potential surprises could be announced, at this point with companies shadow dropping things and marketing cycles substantially reduced anything could happen.

i think this is a way bigger upgrade than ragnorak. ragnorak virtually looked identical to the first game. this is a spiderman 1 to spiderman 2 or horizon zd to horizon fw caliber leap. Significant but not generational. it could definitely look better than this.

Yeah I'd say that was the weakest shot in the trailer. Though I can't tell if it's poor IQ or compression due to it being a fast moving scene. The lighting and object density is there, but everything looks a bit low res.

Why would I want to play as a female or lesbian? I'm a straight guy who wants to beat games playing a male character. In games that let you create a character, I make a male character. Why would I care about staring at Erika Isshi or a pixelated Stellar Blade ass? Only times I choose female is Diablo for the character skills where the class can be matched up to male/female.

It's ok if you think I'm cringey because end of the day a lot of DEI/LBTQ kinds of games and movies are bombing big past bunch of years. So it shows the general public doesnt want that either. Just watched it. Very cool theory that the wolf family may have been part of the Yotei 7, before they betrayed the family due to the establishment/expansion of a shogunate in that area and they rebelled against it. And so it became the Yotei 6. Game is likely going to blend the more personal revenge story with a larger political revolution. Also, nice to see the details of hairstyles, face tattoo (the one around that older Ainu lady's mouth), landscape and architecture being accurate.

I just finished GOT 30 minutes ago. wow what a story and combat. Loved it.
Some repetitive open world stuff but I didn't do all the side quest. Kinda stopped 100%ing everything middle of act 2.

1) Judging someone for wanting to play as a male because they are a male in a derogatory fashion is lame--the tables could be flipped just as easily and there are many words out there to call people that want to overtly play as females for some odd reason.

2) Yes, having a large number of female protagonists is rather 'conspicuous', especially masculine ones, given that its an inorganic trend that has latched onto the industry only in the past few years, and that the vast majority of core gamers (80%+ for various gaming polls I've seen) are in fact male.
The bullshit 50/50 split has no factual source; its just a number conjoured up by false narrators and highly inflated with trash mobile games and minecraft.

Assassin's Creed Shadows has really spoiled me as I basically felt nothing from the trailer. Of course it looks excellent but it feels like the bar has been raised already this year.

Shadows definitely didn't raised the bar for cutscenes, digital acting and character rendering that all look better in this trailer.

Enemy variety and encounter design variety was very limited. So in terms of strategy, it was just a matter of matching the stance to enemy type. If not for the duels, the gameplay would have gotten old real fast. It felt good, sublime even, but was extremely repetitive.

Yeah, sushi1 felt good to control but it was beyond basic and repetitive, and enemy variety was terrible.

Even the stance system was deep as a puddle, just more damage against a certain type of enemy, niho stance system is vastly superior.
