Yeah, i love AC games as well and i do hate the stealth part in both games ahahah. I do love stealth like in Splinter Cell (it might have to do with all the gadgets and shit) but in games like AC and GOT i always struggle.There was a mission in AC:Unity, where you have to follow one guy where almost had a meltdown, was always failing. I do love AC:Unity, best AC for me besides AC2.

It looks solid? On the one hand, I have a feeling it will play and run well and be polished. But also, it seems like a re-skin of the original. I'm not seeing that the graphics are really that much of an upgrade, and I am seeing tons of reused animations from the OG. It looks like an 8/10: a good game that breaks no boundaries or elevates in any way. I enjoyed the OG, so I've pre-ordered this.

Such a shame after Sony has been doing pretty good on that front from my limited understanding. Hopefully it gets patched soon
 
I dropped the first one after 5-6 hours, looked pretty but the gameplay and exploration were shallow as fuck, and it got all the attention and high scores.

I'll wait to check out a stream and then buy if they fixed the issues.

That's fair but far from a broken mess going for a slower more immersive combat system.

I also wasn't the biggest fan of the first game but the second game was one of the best sequels of all time.

Weird take when you consider left wing woke bedwetters would have had a field day with a bunch of games that came out in recent history.

Maybe its the other side who assume every "woke" game that reviews well must have scored agenda points.

Maybe the people reviewing the games just enjoyed those games, the same way the people who review Fifa every year like Fifa......in my opinion Fifa is like a 3 outta 10 game and each iteration that follows and doesnt change much should lose 1 point just for that......so by now they would 0 outta 10 games if I was reviewing them but i dont cuz as you can tell im not a Fifa fan.

If a certain type of game isnt for you, thats fine, if someone else likes it, that doesnt mean they are left wing woke bedwetters or whatever......they just have a different opinion to you.

being fancy and calling it a simulation does NOT automatically make dumpster fire tier combat any more acceptable than it is in ANY other game.
 
Did the reviews said if you still chase foxes and yellow birds all the time for cosmetics or if they made something more organic for exploration?

I think there's a bit of everything. I did see some footage where she was following a yellow bird to an upgrade spot. BUT they seem to have focused on variations now for all side objectives so it doesn't get dull and repetitious. One example a reviewer mentioned was when you get to one of the hot springs, you find a bunch of naked men in the pool and when they recognize you, they freak the fuck out and run away. Little things like that throughout that make them worth finding, aside from the gameplay perks.

I often wonder how bottom-tier clowns like UltimaKilo, Banjo64, StereoVsn, Bombolone, donfonzie, sloppyjoe_gamer, Saber, Fake, and bighugeguns manage to find joy in laughing at a review thread of a game that's actually receiving strong praise and solid critical reception. The only logical explanation? Either they're pathetic, infantile fanboys, or empty shells of people with so little going on in their lives that making fools of themselves on forums is their one and only hobby.

If there is one aspect where yotei nuke kc, is probably the fucking combat.

And i'm hardly a fan of tsushima combat.

exactly and tsushima isnt even on the level of games like bloodborne or elden ring where the combat is on a whole different level.
its simply good feeling combat that flows well

kcd1 combat is for masochists only

This is exactly my opinion about those Ghosts games. At least Infamous was so fun to play and move (and that was decent gameplay for a PS3 game).

My biggest issue with Ghost games was it felt like I was playing Assassin's Creed game both its open world design and its combat and I played Ghost Tsushima after I played Sekiro and Ghost felt so shallow compare to Sekiro.

I'm not gonna say InFAMOUS games had good open world but what it did have was great traversal, it was just so fun to move around in that game.

this's the third one in 18 months, along with rise of the ronin & assassin's creed shadows. how many open-world cowboy games have we gotten in 18 months? open world pirate games? hell, open world super-hero games?...

And look fake as fuck, like 2 guys pretending they are in a hema tournament, barely any marks or gore or satysfying ragdoll or everything to sell the violence, just stiff animations galore.

Play something like mordauh, chivarly or even half sword if you want "realistic" sword fighting that is also fun or at least brutal to watch.

Veilguard had a lot of baggage that came with it so that's more of outlier than an example of the state of reviews.

i played the demo and i played nioh 1 nioh 2 and wolong and i know how team ninja tends to make their games

the user review score is only .3 off the critic one… and that's likely with a lot of 1s from fanboys of opposing platforms that never even played it (and others just decrying it as a 'woke' but again never played it)

well, that's both subjective & just fine. my point was that we have gotten some open-word samurai games, more in fact recently than we've gotten open-world games in other genres. which's true...

The literally *overwhelming* balance of probability is that if you enjoyed the gameplay of the Tsushima, you'll have an equally good time in Yotei.

If it played significantly differently, it would have been remarked upon in at least some of the reviews. If it was radically different from its predecessor it would have been mentioned.

We're not talking Final Fantasy extremes of reinvention in terms of franchise entries, guys. Its just a sequel

I'm not talking about visual but gameplay mechanics. KCD1 is last gen, man but the amount of depth of that game is not even close to ghost series. I don't want even to compare both games because they're not the same but Ghost games are shallow, like a beautiful girl with no personality.

It's very janky sure but the quest design, side activities, small details, and depth trump this much higher budget game. What's the point of having polished combat if the rest of game is such a slog?

I rather take the game that doesnt make me questiom my sanity every time im in combat.
