Anniversary's intro video is cut like they were considering actually including Bungie/Sabre/Certain Affinity logos, then someone changed their mind, but they had already recorded the video anyway, resulting in strangely long cuts. At least people can skip it by launching "Halo Anniversary MP Demo" directly from their dash..

Are there even shadows in the universe? Shadows are projected on object(Earth plates etc) but there are a no objects in space, because it is "empty". Yeah I'm using wrong terms and it is hard to imagine what I'm trying to say.I dunnomuch about physics, but something tells me the shadow from that left rock is just a tad wrong

No, but I'd imagine the light illuminates the space dust around the asteroid except for the space dust behind the rock, thus creating a shadow
Yea, default Reach is pretty horrible. I personally can't stand it after playing the TU so much.
Would much rather go play H3 than Vanilla Reach, even with regenerators and bubble shields all over the place.
Games last night were fun; well, at least as much fun as stomping 95% of teams we fought into the ground. Squad battle usually seems decent at least for some semi-competitive games.

Idea. Use Google Translate when you look for news on HaloDestiny. Or you should learn french like Dennis Ries said ! =P
Also, we were using volumetric fog and light to achieve this shadow effect. That's not perfect, but if you're looking closely to the Reach Intro in Space, you could see a similar effect.
Oh, and last but not least, the .pdf was a non disclosure agreement & embargo agreement. There isn't games names/specification, so Halo is not mentionned in.

Just played the SP portion of the mass effect demo, not gonna lie, it did nothing for me really, those that know me will know how I feel about the series.
However, I agree with what's been said around here, that's how you portray an alien invasion, Bungie.

Volumetric Shadows can be present in Dust/Gas clouds but in most cases only when the body is passing through, not one that formed there as the dust/gas is likely to be a building block for said body.

I preferred the overall combat way more than how it was in ME1, shooting felt good and player feedback was way better. The only problem gameplay wise for me is that the cover system kinda sucks. They should have looked at GoW3 for how to do a cover game right.

That Bish quote, seemingly edited out of his posts is crazy.
He dug himself in much, much deeper as the thread went on. He was known in the PoliGAF threads for often expressing an ignorant or uninformed viewpoint, and then doubling down on that ignorance even when people repeatedly pointed it out to him. This time he picked the wrong topic to take that route with.
This is the only huge issue I have with Waypoint stats---unless you're in the Waypoint application on Xbox, I have yet to find an easy way to look up someone else's stats.
Waypoint is definitely better than when it was an all-Silverlight generated nonsense, but it's still glitchy as hell--why does it redirect me to the home page the first time I click on a link?
Hopefully Microsoft's slow abandonment of Silverlight means we'll get a standards-compliant website refresh soon.

Or clicking a link to a Waypoint forum thread/post and then being told you don't have permission to view the forum, which you have to fix by going out to the index and then visiting the link again. Or just a straight up "Browser cannot find the webpage". I had to post updates to 8 different maps and it took me a half hour to do it because I had to fight their forum software.
Yeah I'm seeing that now. Oh well.
