Hyrule Warriors |OT| Why are the enemies not doing anything?

Hard and hero mode gives you MUCH better materials. Better possibility of silver materials in normal officers instead of bronze and gold for commanders (you need the gold ones for the last skills in the tree of every character). ALso better weapons.

Adventure mode scales the difficulty (you cant choose it) depending of which square of the nes map you are, and you will see gold materials you never see in story mode. The best thing to grind are helping high level Links, of course. 45-60 seems to be the best for grinding.

Cheers. The dream of quickly plowing through replays is dead, lol.

Question about DLC:

What's the difference between a scenario and a adventure map?

Im guessing scenario is extra single player content while adventure is more for free mode and multiplayer?

I think the scenario is a little mini story. It will probably consist of two-three new stages.

I believe the adventure maps will be the three adventure stages that are locked, even after you get 100%.

The DLC adventure map will be stages unlocking LV2 and LV3 DLC weapons, that's my guess.

This game is so much fun, i'm loving Adventure mode, I been playing that more, but gonna go back to Story mode.

Is the North America Season Pass dates the same as Japan? If not when is it coming.

I want that Epona DLC bad

Yeah, it's the same for Europe at least, except for the three playable characters which will arrive on Oct 16 alongside the Master Quest DLC if I understand correctly.

Loving the game so far. Unlocked the Naginta for Impa and man does she kick so much ass with it, it's definitely one of my favorite weapons. The Adventure Mode map is taking alot of my time, good thing we're getting more of these in the DLC packs.

Currygan

at last, for christ's sake
gonna have to hold off the purchase until I finish my backlog. too many damn games between pc, wiiu, 3ds in the coming weeks..I even quit playing Mario Kart

Playing through Legend Mode some more. Epilogue spoilers.

So, I beat Cia, get this obviously ending cutscene and then Ganondorf appears at the end. Most games would have that as sequel bait. Hyrule Warriors says "Screw that, we're doing this NOW."

Next level: The Return of Ganondorf.
Playable characters: Ganondorf

Hell yeah. That's how you do it.

This will be so awesome.

So, I played the game until the campaign first branches out (after the prologue) and I have absolutely no clue how smithing works. Is it like fusing two weapons into one and getting both of their attributes/powers? Is it possible to fuse "wrong" weapons and lose important stuff?

It lets you take the skills from a weak weapon and put them on a strong weapon. Always use the stronger weapon as the base, because if you make a weapon with 80 attack your base and fuse it with a weapon that has 120 attack, you'll lose the 120 attack weapon.

For people looking for coop impressions, I've played the entire initial story with my roommate *bout 10 hours* you can see a hit to the graphic quality almost immediately *jaggies everywhere* but framerate actually held up decently for the most part, I'm not entirely sensitive to resolution hits or lag, but it was certainly enjoyable playing with my friend.

the thing about the season pass that has got my attention is the bit at the end, 2 new game modes, wonder what they could be? my biggest hope is something like Hyrule Warriors Empires lite.

Having never played a Warriors game before, I didn't really know what to expect. I am having fun so far. People were really unfairly reductive when they'd describe what this game is. There's more that goes into jt than anyone wants to give it credit for.

Enjoy! Dorf is a freaking beast.

Btw, I'm really liking Zelda; her rapier weapon + heavy attacks slaughters everyone.

Ah, good to know. Thanks for filling me in. :)

Why are you reading my tag instead of the title of my post?
Just started playing with my friend. Thing is, where's the co-op? After the first mission? Also what resolution is the game at? Something looks funky I can't be my finger on it.

This game is super fun. I'd already played DW Gundam 3 (which I absolutely loved) and Pirate Warriors 1 and 2 (2 was great, 1 was terrible), but this is probably my favorite Musou yet. The Zelda license doesn't feel tacked on at all, and it goes a long way towards making the game totally awesome.

I don't get the Weapon fusing
so I choose a weapon with an empty slot as base
and then another weapon with a skill

the final weapon ends up w no skill?

I'm having a hard time with the maps. People call for help or escorts and I can never find them in time.

Press Start and then select "battlefield info". This shows you where your allies are exactly. It's a shame that they couldn't do this properly using the gamepad :/

Yes, you select a skill of a weapon. After fusing, that weapon will be gone.

Where is the Skulltula in the Water Temple?
I go to the area where the web is, the music stops, but I don't see it anywhere. I can't hear it either.

No, the final weapon dissapears.
You need always to put your best skills into better weapons, but if you have two good skills in shitty weapong you can only pass one of those skills and the other will dissapear with the weapon.

I advise to put things like +exp, +materials, +stars, +slots into weapons with hight star count (more stars more powerful the weapon is up to 5 stars). You will gain better weapons (higher level, they are basically the same weapon but with a different design and usually better power per star) as you continue, but dont worry, you will alwatys get shitty weapons with those skills so you can add them to better ones.

well its not exactly chinese history

its based on a chinese novel written in the 14. century thats inspired by chinese history in the 2nd century.

You mean Zhuge Liang didn't actually magically change the wind direction?

I kept it simple to avoid showing all of my Romance of the Three Kingdoms nerd cred at once.

I had that issue as well before with the map reading, so what I do now is pause the game and find their location in the battlefiend info menu.

Thanks!

Horses were only good for speed. They always sucked combat wise. In Hyrule Warriors, you run 1000 mph, so horses would be pretty useless.

The running speed in Hyrule Warriors is the same as in Samurai Warriors 3 from what I can tell. Horses are good from getting from one end to another quickly -- which is needed musou.

So far it doesn't seem like there are any sub-objectives in the levels?

About that...

How do you do Ganondorf's blender move from the trailer The one where he slashes upwards and keeps juggling the enemy for a long time?

There is a little section outside of big cavern you start in that you can cut down vines with the boomerang. It is in there

OMG, Impa's Naginata feels so amazing to use in combat. The fluid handling, the blurred colours emphasising speed, flame effects and the movement that captures the sense of a fire blazing a path through.

Also, I've only been playing on Hard but the grunts here seem more braindead than in Samurai Warriors 3 Hard. With that said I'm enjoying it. I'm glad this game will introduce a bunch of newcomers to Musou.
