Hyrule Warriors |OT| Why are the enemies not doing anything?

Saved some people :) But didn't get the opposite way.
Do we know how this works exactly? Is this some kind of street pass where people need to play Adventure Mode at the same time?

Did a level from a friendly Link in neogaf that was level 65.
With a Link level 43 and a really good weapon I failed the level like 4 or 5 times until I beat the game.

Now I was playing an aventure level supposedly difficult to get a new level 3 sword for Link, and I was plowing the enmy like there was no tomorrow. The commander didnt even sniff m, 30 seconds and they were out.

Haven't played very much outside of some basic romps through four stages in story mode and as much as I could clear in Adventure Mode.

I really like it! I think the big thing that clicked for me was when I realized I wasn't actually supposed to play the game as a brawler and was 'directing' myself to what seemed like objectives that were on the way - e.g. flip over an outpost, clear out a base - and just use different combos as I see fit to visually spice things up.

I do appreciate how they put in little secrets for things in a Zelda way. I have yet to find a heart piece for anybody yet, although I suspect that's because I let the mission objectives drive the direction I push towards a little too much. Still, having a blast, and purposefully setting aside blocks of time in a day to dig in a little deeper.

About that...

How do you do Ganondorf's blender move from the trailer The one where he slashes upwards and keeps juggling the enemy for a long time?
Not sure which one, but both of these juggle:
XY -> mash Y or X - Ganondorf launches enemies in the air then keeps slashing them
X3Y - Ganondorf slashes around him, freezes enemies caught in the vortex he created, then blasts them away

You have to overtake certain keeps with the character displayed when you select a scenario (not sure if this is the same for adventure or challenge mode)
Sometimes you get a "break" in scenarios. That's usually the time to move around the map and capturing as many keeps as possible

Thanks to the person who helped me recently!
With the exp-bonus I helped a level 60 Link and got from level 57 to 60 in one mission, made a lot of cash and got a 5star weapon with 392 damage and 6 slots, bam!
Now, somehow I got 400k to spend.

Still the lack of gold rank materials is kinda annoying, really.

I'm having a lot more fun that I thought I would be, so far I've beaten the first 4 levels and 1st part of Skyloft. The pro controller is great and the gamepad is okay for its features (Quick change items and listing objectives. So far the one thing I don't like is the gold Skultulas as I have to actively keep an eye on my kills to make sure I don't engage in certain objectives that could force me away from searching. Will probably play a lot more tonight

Really enjoying the game a lot so far. It's sort of surprised me in a way. It's really satisfying and enjoyable to plow through hordes of enemies and figure out the character you're using. I really like Impa, she has such amazing crowd control and everything.

I stopped at about the first level of Skyloft but I'm looking to continue tonight probably.

I've just played the coop mode with my nephew for a couple of hours. He loved it to death, and so did I!

Of course the visuals suffer, but honestly, the local coop works fine and is really fun. It's totally worth it.

This game really reminds me of a game from the Dreamcast era. It might not make any sense to some but it just reminds me of a game that was meant to just be fun. Nothing to complicated on the surface but if you spend the time you can really find fun in mastering it.

I was trying to make sense of this impression yesterday when I first started playing, the game is just...fun. I have a huge smile on my face while playing and listening to the music. I am a Zelda fan but not a huge one and the fan service from the loading screen to the recreation of the title of the original game in Adventure mode just brings on a rush of nostalgia and excitement.

Really glad I changed my mind on this game again and went out and picked it up.

I'm having a hard time with the maps. People call for help or escorts and I can never find them in time.

I had that issue as well before with the map reading, so what I do now is pause the game and find their location in the battlefiend info menu.

Tip: When you open battle log, it will not only show you each message, but also where the person who said the message is. So for instance, if someone says "escort me" and you missed it, you can go to battle log, select the message and it will show you on the map where that person is.

How fitting that the worst levels and characters are also based around Twilight Princess, the worst game in the 3D series, hahahaha.

What even...? I disagree entirely with absolutely everything in this post.

The Palace of Twilight stage was such a missed opportunity. The enemy officers really should have been shadow monsters from TP and not just gibdos and aeralfos on fire. I did like that the translation team acknowledged the TP gibdo translation error though.

This game is such mindless fun. I love it. Perfect for pick and play.

If you're on the fence, don't be, just buy it. It's a love letter to Zelda fans.

Lana is so darn cute

waifu 4 laifu init

she's really good to play as

I thought Lana sang the jingle when she opened a treasure. Then i was sad when she didnt do that.
I thought she did that in trailer, same with something that summoned cuccos, but I havent seen anything like that in the game from her.

Thanks guys those tips for the map have helped! Is it best to finish story mode first before doing adventure?

Yes, story mode is easier even on hard and is perfect to unlock the main characters and story.

Man, I had a lot of trouble with the third mission just a bit ago. I decided to take my time and explore, and ended up taking every outpost and keep. Felt great about it until Ghoma dropped in, and then I proceeded to lose the mission 5 times straight due to the Deku Tree running out of health after downing Ghoma a couple times.

Anyway, I eventually managed to finish him off by not missing a single opportunity to shoot his eye, but the unforgiving nature of the battle made me check Google for an explanation. As best as I can tell, the reason I had such a hard time with it was because I took my time putting out the flames in the Deku Tree earlier in the mission, which left less health for the Ghoma battle.

I guess I'll have to be smarter in the future about what objectives are truly urgent and which ones can wait for a bit while I explore.

Well, I'm looking forward to tackling the fourth mission later tonight!

I've only finished the 2D Zeldas (always get burnt out before completing a 3D one), and I'm really liking this game. I've been taking the gamepad into bed with me for the past couple nights, and it's been a great bit of mindless action to wind down with before going to sleep. Tons of content, too.

The only thing that's not doing much for me is the framerate and the lock-on system. Both of them combined made the Gohma fight pretty terrible. Every time he fired his laser, the game would chug, then I'd have to fight with the camera to get a lock. This was all on the gamepad. When I watched my girlfriend play it on the TV, it looked a bit better. She said she's been struggling with the lock-on as well, but she didn't notice any framerate issues.

Pretty easy recommendation to anyone with a Wii U.

Game is pretty addicting, I haven't played a DW game in ages so this is just what the doctor ordered. In adventure mode how can you tell what search item you need?

I don't like the lock-on system at all. I have a hard time telling whether the lock actually "takes" when I press L, and even when it does, I can't always tell when I've lost it. It seems flaky in that respect. A couple times I'm pretty sure I've locked onto a monster behind me instead of the one standing directly in front of me, too.

Yeah, I've had the same thing happen. Multiple times. I'd love an option to enter an over-the-shoulder aiming mode for the bow.

Really hate the item switching mechanic.. They should show 5 items at the lower left at all times and let you cycle through the list.

I had fairly low expectations for this game, but I have to say, it's pretty incredible so far. The gameplay is surprisingly really fun, the depth of strategy and use of tactics is unexpected and that soundtrack! Ugh, that soundtrack gives me ear orgasms!

I used some coupons and such to bring down the price. I'm trying to avoid paying full retail for it since October is going to be cruel. Hoping it will drop like a rock in the coming weeks.
Is that something to really hope for? If you don't want to pay 60 then fine but to wish it dropped in price?

I must be blind, but on the adventure map when you uncover a secret, like say some stairs, how do you go down them?

I've unlocked lots of characters today just by legends mode. Still missing Zant and Ghirahim though. :(

You can use the touchscreen to bring up an item menu similar to the one in Twilight Princess. It's really fast to change items that way.

I'm not having much luck trying to get the wind waker for Zelda. I keep incurring too much damage in the stage that's before it to get an A rank. I feel like maybe my characters are underleveled. I saw someone say it's best to have her level 50 when going for the WW
