Thanks for the responses guys. I checked around for the Killer Instinct classic as a separate game etc, still nothing. And I was able to download all the other versions but it still had no effect......but
I get home and boot up and MICROSOFT MAGIC happens and I get past the screen where it checks for downloads (the one everyone was stuck on) and I get KILLER INSTINCT CLASSIC AVAILABLE. Downloaded but haven't tried to play yet.
Then I go and check my characters and more MAGIC, they are unlocked!
I was actually getting worried that I was having issues since I have not yet subscribed to Gold and maybe that was screwing things up or they didn't do much testing when not subscribed.
It seems that them fixing their server issue of yesterday straightened out all my game issues...EXCEPT I still don't have my PINS or an email from MS they said they would send me to straighten them being missing out.
I thought at first maybe I they somehow fell out of the envelop or something but seeing as you go the exact oppisite of me (PINS but no GAME/BOOK) I'm guessing there have been a lot of screw ups with this.
The crappy thing is calling support doesn't get you anywhere, no one knows what your talking about and the Pin Edition is sold out so they won't/can't offer to send you another one.
If you get a hold of someone that can help, please let me which dept etc. Both Xbox and MS Store support have let me down so far.

You checked the box carefully? I know some people were throwing away the pins by accident since they were in a separate pouch.

I'm glad you at least got full access to the parts of the game that you paid for. I hope you get your pins and whatnot figured out, but at least you have the most important part of the game fixed! =D

OUCH! Someone suggested to me that maybe my pins were stolen. Maybe that's the case since they only left the place card. They took the game and pins.
Support should be able to at the very least enable the game for you. They were able to look up and see I made the purchase when I called them.
Side note: I suck at combo breakers. Keep replaying the dojo lesson and can't figure out how to see what is coming at me when it mixes them up on you. I'm left to guessing most times, esp when it's punch and kick autos. I don't see myself being able to distinguish with just jago right now so learning every characters seems impossible

working fine for me still. only issues Ive had was the glitchy character models, and being stuck at the loading screen last night.
Well I love this game but I will never win against humans, TOP good fighting and thanks for the games but I am only wasting everyones times who is playing exhebition matches against me
Think I might also cancel the stick preorder and let those have it who are good at fighting games. I will check out Spinal though, loved that crazy skeleton back then.
I'll play against you. I suck. You'll beat this human. My gamertag is Jarlaxle. Love the game though. I think I will never reach level 5 though. Right when I'm on the verge, I go all the way back down to 2. Kind of frustrating but it is what it is.
I honestly don't know how I'm supposed to punish Jago's wind kick as Orchid. All of her specials feel like they don't have priority. Any help by all of you good at this game would be appreciated. lol
Jump straight the fuck up and try MK or HK as he's shooting under you. You can also use shadow counters for the super version.
It kinda sucks though. Wind kick goes through flik flack, it goes through the slide, it beats the rekka (or it feels like it does, anyway) You can probably also punish the heavy windkick on block, I think.
I agree it beats all of Orchids specials but I haven't been able to figure out how to punish it on block. I even try something simple like like kick low or something and it feels like he has better priority for the next move so it's like a free wind kick if I don't jump over it which kind of sucks. I wish they would at least buff one of her specials to be able to counter this.
Starting to get into this now that I've finished up DR3.
I think the X1 controller is kind of frustrating. I feel like I'm only doing the moves I want to do half of the time even though I feel like I'm imputing the moves correctly. I mean, they aren't that hard to memorize, but damn.
Anyways, the game looks great. Love all of the particle effects and the hits feel meaty. I'm glad it's been well received too because I've been a fan of Double Helix Since SH Homecoming.
If anyone has any tips for Orchid I'm all ears. Glacius is a bitch to fight.

Ugh. Over an hour trying to do the first combo with manuals in dojo 19.
Just can't get the timing down for the manual consistently yet.
Maybe get a manual one out of every 10 times if just doing it by opener->manual practicing but maybe 1 of 20 when trying to do it off the linker in a combo and then if I do it I never hit the ender.
For these trials I wish there was a way to go back to the first parts of the lesson without having to restart. They put those nice timing indicators for the manual In the early part if the lesson but then don't in the later part. I know your supposed to learn but I feel it's a bit like a math teacher that shows you something one time and expects it to have instantly sunk in.
also having a SHOW ME demo for all parts of each lesson instead of just some would have been nice. Will probably just search on YouTube for pointers tomorrow.

LOL I use Orchid and have the most problems when fighting Glacius aswell.
The controller? It's funny you say this though as I was just talking with someone telling them that sometimes when I play, it's like 1 out of every 5 moves does not go through, it's literally costing me matches in Rank. I did notice though this really only happens to me when I come in from outside and my hands are cold, It's very frustrating. I'm gonna start waiting like 30min before playing when I get home for now on to warm up and loosen up my fingers and thumbs a bit.
I'm gonna start saving for the Arcade stick anyway, with so many more Characters coming, and so much more content, the Arcade stick is gonna have to be bought sooner or later with the many years of replay value this game has ahead of it.

Side question do you know what challenges qualify for the Pins in game? I'm confused as to which ones and how this is going to work. I see tons of current and upcoming in game just don't see how that ties to the pins.

I got one too. It really went into a lot of specifics, way more than I expected. It's good that they're listening to fans and reaching out to the community for honest opinions though. I personally don't have a lot of complaints about the game, but I tried my best to give them useful feedback.

Dojo is tough! I agree with every point you made, I'd just add the advanced page for each characters too. From 19 to the last it's damn hard to complete everyone. Give a try on the last one too, you will cry blood.
Still only playing unranked matches, afraid to get my ass beaten so hard and demotivate myself
Usually I can do quite a comeback if I adapt to the opportunity the opponent is giving and introduce a damn couple good combos, usually the matches are fair and balanced. On rank 1 ehehehe

I'm still having fun with it and am very stubborn and won't want to move on. I was seeing myself get better but it was also getting late and was getting tired. So I'll give it a go again tonight.
One thing that I'm finding is awesome is when I start playing I go back and play a few of the dojo lessons that were giving me trouble and I'm getting better. It makes it fun and is nice to see there is progress.
I'm actually going to bring my 24" monitor home from work today and see if there is any noticeable difference due to lag.
Not an expert but remember reading PC monitors will help eliminate lag issues. Its got to be better than the 50" cheap-o I'm playing on that does not even have a game mode.
I see lots of people requesting dojo's for other characters and hopefully they do this. I hear the people who are already good; "learn yourself", "hand holding" etc but since this game is focused on a broad appeal and hardcore it can only help. (We all want season 2, 3 etc)
Its not like its a shortcut to "cheat" your way into becoming good at the game by having more training options. It only helps people who may not have put in the effort. More ways to learn and "hand holding" leads to a bigger fan base, more better plays to fight.
Maybe the players who already are good at fighting games think its "babying" since the stuff is obvious to them or like the ego boost of having "done it the hard way" and want to keep their elite status.
But maybe not since many are praising showing the hitboxes which makes becoming better easier and they just want DH's limited resources spent on other things. (not trying to pick a fight with anyone, just typing out loud)
They already have put the effort into making what is being praised as the best training lessons in fighting games. Why not continue to add to now that you have template setup?
I'm actually off tomorrow from work and will probably redeem my 14 day LIVE trial. Never been on LIVE before so will be a total noob with features, how it works etc.

QFT. It's such bullshit.
I know this was recorded basically at launch, but this is lackluster Sabrewulf play. I imagine both players are considerably better right now, but in this video I saw poor punishment, poor meter management, and just generally average play. Not exciting to me at all.
Again, I'm sure both are WAY better now, but the age of this video really shows.
The lag is never visibly noticeable unless it's really bad. Beyond that, I tend to get 2-3 frames of lag playing anyone not on the west coast. It's clear when I can't block empty jump lows. If I play someone on the east coast, it will be even worse when I don't even get a lock out from a late Combo Breaker because the lag didn't register it in time.
The light and medium versions are safe.The heavy version is -5, which is technically unsafe, but it has enough push back to make it difficult to punish. Some characters can punish with Shadow moves, but looking at Orchid's frame data it doesn't look like hers are fast enough.
You best bet is to go into Practice mode, set the dummy to do heavy Wind Kick from a distance followed by a block, then see what you can find to punish. Orchid may not be able to punish it.
