Thanks for the heads up. I have had it on preorder on Amazon for what seems like eons. Since there was no concrete shipment date, I got impatient and ordered the Cronusmax, which is backordered as well, haha. With Gamestop availability, I was able to order it with two-day shipping.
I actually dug out my UMvC3 stick for the Xbox 360 as well as my SFxT arcade stick (PS3) to try it out with Cronusmax. Now I have to make a decision if I want to cancel my Cronusmax order. I really like the feel and heft of the UMvC3 stick and would love to try it out with KI. My biggest fear with Cronusmax is the latency even though all the information I have been able to gleaned off about the product has been fairly positive.
My Xbox One is in a cabinet and it would be a major hassle to have to reach inside the cabinet to plug in the original controller with a usb cord (for authentication) before plugging in my older sticks.
Please pardon the wrong console, hehe. Xbox One sits in place of the 360 and pretty much takes up all the space and makes it very hard to reach inside the cabinet. The side USB port is completely inaccessible so the only option for me is to get a USB extension cord and keep it plugged into one of the rear ports if I go with Cronusmax.

I was planning to derank on purpose and beat some level 1s in a row to get this
I went into exhibition and won some matches against low levels waiting for the challenge to be active. took break playing forza. went back to ranked when it became live and popped after my first win.
I think it counted the exhibitions as ranked wins by mistake? whatevs KI, I'll take it

I'm close to the same play long enough and you'll get matched with some lower ranks you can beat. lol

Yeah, I'm up and down myself. My wins comes in streaks then I get up to Rank 5 or so, then my losses come in streaks too...
Before I know it I'm back at Rank 2 and matched against really really bad Rank 1 players. I feel bad for the noobs when that happens. Ranking down just happens too quickly in this game.
In other news, MY JOYSTICK IS COMING IN TODAY!!! OMG!!! KI ALL NIGHT LONG!!!

I'm not a fight stick player, really, but I'm gonna force myself to learn. My hands hurt from gripping the controller too hard and my left thumb is shredded (it's actually discolored at this point) from the tire grip on the analog since I hate the d-pad (just in this game, controller is perfect for everything else on the console).

I find the pad is pretty good for this game but a nightstick would definitely improve your game with practice.
The main issue I have with the D-Pad is that when you do down to left it doesn't seem to recognize that movement as much as down to right for some odd reason.
Really do think this is my favorite fighting game to date, right now I can only play with Sabrewulf however. Trying to decide who to branch out to next.

This was my issue too. Orchid's cartwheel kicks are a pain in the ass on the digital pad so I've been using the analog. My callus is actually blue underneath the skin. My thumb needs a break.
Kind of the same story here. I never got a stick last gen, was always on the fence, and now that it's the start of this gen I'm more comfortable dropping the cash on a stick and learning how to play on one. Gonna get wrecked, but from everything I've heard, It'll be well worth it.

Ah neat, was wondering when we would find out the first pin challenge. Hope we get word soon on if they plan on changing the way ranked matches work. I have a feeling we won't see classic costumes until Spinal releases at the earliest. Which is fine since from the look of Orchid's costume they still have a lot of work ahead on those.

I was on a 3 game win streak then I lost to a thunder. I also tried to win 4 exhibitions in a row and then win a ranked match and that doesn't work either.

I wish this had tournament mode so that we could have a noob GAF tourny for levels 1-5, you know, for ppl like me who suck super bad at fighers
I want this too. Being fail together makes the learning process not as frustrating.
Online lobbies with a spectator mode will hopefully come very soon.

If you're in a gambling mood, you could try out the CronusMax adapter w/ a 360 Hori Stick.
If you wait for sales, the combo would probably cost you around $100 but I don't think anyone has really lag-tested the adapter yet :/

Amazon just sent me an email, my TE2 stick finally shipped and I'll have it the 24th (I pre-ordered it Nov 22nd for reference). I still don't have an Xbone though haha, I think I'm gonna pick one up in a couple weeks with my Christmas bonus. I haven't played KI yet, no store demos, nothin. Itll feel good to start learning the game right off the bat on stick though.

Got my stick from GS yesterday. What a nice piece of hardware! The thing is extremely well built and I love it, but it needs a headset attachment. Highly recommended if you can find one.

Yeah using pad, I keep switching from dpad to analogue for some reason.
